The project will design, develop, characterise and manufacture a revolutionary, ultra-low mass, proof of concept CFRP wheel for rotorcraft applications.
NATEP is a £20m programme to develop 80 aerospace technologies in the UK aerospace supply chain. Funded by the Aerospace Technology Institute and managed by ADS, it is aimed at small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop innovative technologies to enhance their capabilities and increase their ability to win new business.
Embarking on government funding can be difficult, but with NATEP's Technology Managers offering mentoring and support throughout the whole process, it can make SMEs more likely to succeed.
