They could have done better. I mean the way it's presented very cheesy! A much better display case would have been more appropriate. Those two Gems deserved a better treatment presentation. The display looks cheesy. The could have gone higher like the Display cases from Elizabeth Taylor jewels.
In the environment in which it was being displayed, the ruby is not as beautiful as it was being portrayed. Big doesn't equal beautiful.

Im gonna say what everybody's think: the cut is ugly. They seem to prioritize weight instead of brilliance. Too many windowing effects from all angles.
Agreed，but then again if you cut for weight first, the option to cut it further is always open, so why take the risk
don't speak for everyone ding bat . It's a cushion cut , no doubt cut very well, not based on weight as you suggest . The Ruby is dark and that's the short coming . I don't think Dubai is the place for gems . All they have is money , so what . Do they know anything about jewelry ? I have been a professional jeweler 40 years and see no connection other than a bunch of too rich people .mencobager you know very very little .
