Great review. I’m still using my 13pm since launch and have switched to 14PM and 15pm and the way I use my phone I didn’t see any difference. For me it’s battery life and camera system and I think 13pm battery is just as good if not better than the other two. And the camera system on the 14PM isn’t even that much better and don’t need the 48mp and the 15pm new camera features I would never use. Plus it still have a physical sim slot for traveling. IMO 13pm is the best and value iPhone Apple has ever created. Before 13pm was the 11pm. I don’t think Apple will ever come out with a iPhone as good as the 13pm. Every iPhone that has come out since has terrible battery life. Some 14/15pm some users have BH already in the low 90s which is crazy. Mine is still at 87% after almost 3 years. Crazy.
Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed the review! It’s really interesting you have a battery health of 87%, my 13 Pro Max has been at 87% for about 9 months now. There’s definitely something good about the battery in this phone, even coconut battery reports about 90% health after almost 700 cycles on my battery. I did a battery test the other day and managed to get 9 hours of screen on time out of my 13PM even without using any low power mode. Still a great phone today for sure!
Mine was at 95 then iOS 17 happened and it kept on dropping but since it dropped to 89% it has dropped slowly now. How do you get coconut battery? From App Store? Yeah same I’m getting about 8-10 hours of sot depending on usage. I love my 13pm. Will it update until they bring back the physical sim.
@@Food-is_Life ah, that makes sense. Coconut battery is a desktop app, I have it on my Mac. It’s really cool because I can see the cycle counts, and even manufacturer date for some devices and batteries.
@@xl6941 it’s not a bad upgrade but I think they’re so close together that it is a bit of a moot point to make that upgrade. Personally I would consider something like the 15 Pro Max just because there is a lot of upgrades that get compounded over the generational differences from your 12PM. Since the 16PM is going to come out soon, more deals should start showing up for the 15 series as well.

@@abhishekshetty5245 Hey there! Thank you so much for watching and subbing, and I really appreciate your comment too! 😊 Yeah, for sure. Good info.. i just bought a 13 pro max renewed on Amazon for 550, seemed like an awesome deal plus the 90 day return window is awesome. I have a 13 mini and thought I'd try a max for home use and when I travel where I tend to spend more time on my phone and could use the larger screen and better battery life. I like how they will be basically twins so my txts will show up and all apps will be duplicated.... I'll just have to swap the sims when I take it with me on occasion. After using the 13 mini for the last couple years I really like the easily pocketable, one handable device.. probably wont go back to a larger device until I'm forced to when the 13 mini has run it's course.
It’s a pretty great phone today still, honestly there’s no issues with using one! 13 mini is an awesome form factor for sure though, and the last the mini series so it could become a collectible!

Hey there! Thanks for the comment. 90% isn’t too bad, I was at 91% when I first got my 13PM and I’ve been at 87% now for about a year, so it’s not a super fast degradation. Really depends on the price of the phone as well, if it’s a good deal, 90% shouldn’t be bad at all. Look at how long you can usually get with screen on time as well, that’ll be a good gauge for actual battery usability. Hope this helps!
Hi there, thanks for watching and for your comment! It really depends on your use case and how long you think you’re going to use your phone for. I would definitely check out battery health too since you’re buying used, and try to price the difference between the 13PM and 14P you’re comparing against. One area that the 13PM should be better is with battery since it is physically larger. I would argue that the camera changes aren’t that big of a deal, even with the 48MP sensor of the 14P. I still use my 13PM as my daily and don’t really see any reason to upgrade at the moment, so I think you’d be happy with it as well. Hope this helps you out some!
Hi there, thanks for your comment! The 13 Pro Max is perfectly usable today, but if you want an extra year of support, the 14 Pro Max should have that. What do you typically use on your phone the most? If it’s the camera, you might benefit from the 48MP sensor on the 14PM. Both of them are pretty similar honestly though, if you’re trying to save money, the 13PM isn’t bad at all. Just make sure the battery health is good if you’re buying used.

Hi! Thanks for your comment. In my usage, I haven’t had any problems with lines on any of my iPhone screens, including my 13PM. The chances of getting lines on the display goes up exponentially with dropping the phone and exposing to extreme heat or water, so I would keep the phone in a case. I’ve used the 13 Pro Max in extreme heat though (120+ °F) and haven’t had any issues other than the screen dimming since the phone was getting too hot. Hope this helps!
Only if you feel like you want too, personally I don’t think there is enough difference between the 14PM and 15PM to justify spending more money. Especially with the 16 series coming up in the next 3-4 months.
