I'm so happy that I found your channel! Your cross stitch projects are beautiful, and I also love the bookcase you made! Very inspiring! The cherry on top...the Lego builds! So fun
Thank you so much -- I'm so glad you're here too! I'm always happy to find others who love Legos too!
Deborah! Greetings from Dallas! Fun video!! I love the idea of cross stitching while you’re on a stationary bicycle!! Ingenious!!! Also loved your little bookcase with all the personal items in it. And, as always, enjoy seeing your new Lego sets. It is so cool that you have that hobby that you share with your father. Always great to get your flosstubes!!
Michael! I hope you're staying cool this weekend! I would guess Dallas is definitely starting to heat up. :| Yes, I am so happy to share the Lego hobby with my dad too. We definitely have some overlap in our interests and some sets he's much more into than me and vice versa. That's part of what's so fun, how versatile it is. Have a wonderful long weekend!
Stitching while biking? You are my hero.
I've been surprised how well it's going!
Hello. What a fabulous Lego collection you have! I keep looking at your temperature chart behind you and think that is the one I need to do. It’s so fantastic and I like the fabric you stitched it on.
Oh yay! The pattern is "Rainbow Temperature Supernova" by Climbing Goat Designs. It was really well charted and explained and looks so good stitched up.
Hi Deborah, I love all your new finishing ideas. I especially love your new mini bookcase ❤❤. Have a great weekend.
What librarian couldn't love a little bookcase? 😆 I hope you're having a good weekend too!
I love the new frame for your finished French piece. I can’t wait to see it FFOed. See you next time😊. I really love your bookcase. It looks like a fun project.
Thank you, Rhonda! Once I saw that new frame, I definitely felt like it was a better fit (no pun intended). 😂
I love the miniature bookcase and the Legos! I’ve seen kits to create little mini bookstores/cafes/etc and I think I’d enjoy the kits but my new home will have very little space to display. Years ago I bought a Fallingwater Lego build and gave it to a friend to build. He did it all in one day and I was amazed! I’ve seen more of the architectural Legos in recent years and consider buying them to build, then disassemble and donate to my library for others to enjoy.
Donating Legos to your local library is such a great idea! I do love putting the Lego sets together, but I know I will run out of space -- and probably not in the distant future, at the rate I'm going. The buildings and architectural sets are some of my favorites too.
Hello Deborah, lovely to see your stitchy progress. I think the shaped frame will be a great finish for il pleut ☔️. I’mmaking good progress on Summer abc’s and just ordered the floss I need for Autumn abc’s. Have a great bank holiday weekend.
What a sweet little book shelf
Thank you so much!
Your little bookshelf is so cool! Although I'm sure my cats would keep knocking it over here. 😂
I definitely have to keep it out of the way of mine too. 😂
Have a great weekend Deborah. Your bookcase looks like it was so fun to put together.
Thank you, Sarah! It was definitely a lot of fun. I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!
I really like the Hands on Design patterns. They are so cute. The frame you chose for the umbrella stitch will work out well. (I tried typing its name, but auto correct kept changing it-didn’t like the French I guess) lol I love the bookshelf! We did our library branch staff Christmas party doing a similar craft. 3 did a bookstore, and I did a greenhouse. The ladies also found making the books tedious. lol I never finished my greenhouse. It kind of went downhill fast. lol Yours is so adorable. I took pictures while you held it up to show my coworkers and my friend who collects miniatures. For our TD Summer Reading Club at the library this summer, the kids and adults have a chance to win LEGO sets. The kids will read so many books just to enter to win the LEGO. We have 2 sets for our prizes. Every branch got 2 sets. The Lego store is excellent! We have a Lego after school programme at our branch too. Great, fun video! Our long weekend was last week. Our official kick off to summer. Victoria Day. Have a great long weekend this weekend
Yes, the Hands on Design series is so cute! The last two seasons are my favorites too. I love that idea for a staff party! Maybe not the actual putting together of tiny books though. 😂 Ditto having Legos be a prize for summer reading! They definitely appeal to people of all ages. Happy belated Victoria Day and happy summer!
Love the Legos! Please show where you display them, it would be great to see.
Thank you, Kathy! I don't have one place I keep them all -- I tend to squirrel them away around the house: on shelves, mantles, etc. -- wherever I happen to have a little space. But I'll definitely think about a good way to show that to you.
Hi Deborah
Lovely to see you and have a catch up. As usual a brilliant video with lots of wonderful things . The little bookcase was just adorable. I remember having a little cardboard bookcase when I was young (I think I can remember that far back) 😂 it had tiny books inside, all Fairy stories, I loved it. The Lego, well what can I say, you are so brilliant with it, loved it. Take care my friend, see you soon. P.s how are the boys behaving themselves I hope. 👵 x
Thank you, Molly! I love that you also had a little bookcase with fairy stories on it. The boys are (mostly) behaving themselves -- just a few tussles a day. ;) The weather has been beautiful several days lately, so they're big fans of sitting by the screen door and watching the world go by. I am also finally getting a bird feeder, so that will provide them with lots of watching entertainment soon too. They thank you for asking!
Enjoyed your video. Loved the Lego store.
I thought of you. My local store, The Silver Needle is having a shop European sale through today. I love it, but I am overwhelmed with stuff to stitch at the moment. 🧑🎨
Oooh, that would be so tempting! I have bought many things from The Silver Needle by mail over the years, and would love to visit in person some day. I love that they stock the European patterns too.
Miss you! Happy Memorial Day and see you next weekend 😊
Miss you too! Looking forward to seeing you next weekend. 🤗
That French magazine is so hard to find! How much did your subscription cost? I assume you ordered it online directly from the publisher?
Yes, it's very hard to find! I do have a subscription directly from the publisher. If you subscribe, shipping is free (or, at least, included in the cost), whereas if you buy single issues, shipping is quite expensive. The cost varies a bit with the exchange rate, but a regular subscription is €54. The last two years, I've gotten the premium subscription, which includes 4 extra themed issues. That is €?102.
