I just purchased the GG-100 having had the the Rangeman GW-9400 prior. The Rangeman has both Solar power & Atomic clock but I wanted more.
Happy with the Step and Calorie counter using the Casio App on my phone. This also updates the time on your watch which syncs with your smartphone rather than Atomic Clock which did not always work depending on where you live.
Miss the Solar power option but no big deal to switch out the battery having got a quote of $8.00 done at the store or can do it myself.
Recommend this watch as a less expensive option of the GWG-1000 which retails for $1000 Canadian + Tax vs the GG-100 that I bought new on sale for $375.00 Canadian including sales tax and 1 year warranty.
I have worn this one for like 3 years. Ive replaced the battery once by hand and still am learning about it.

really lovely watch, I do agree about the strap being very stiff and i have to wear it slightly looser or it hurts my wrist, and I have large wrists so im only 3 holes from the end, I didn't realise you could wear a nato strap on it like that so I ordered the adapters from jaysandkays which comes with the spring bars and I will probably get some nato straps, I think a grey strap will look pretty cool, incidentally I went with the green band version and i have to say I really like how it looks the green is neutral enough I don't feel it clashes with my clothes and i liked the more military tactical look, I would have gone for the black/red like yours but I already have a GA-100 in that colour and I just wanted something different for a change. Overall I love how the watch looks and how sturdy it feels I think its one of the best looking G-shocks and the features are amazing and actually useful in the real world, my GA-100 looks great but im not sure i'll ever need to calculate my speed over a given distance so its basically a gimmick, I honestly think for the price this watch offers the best value and looks of any G-shock, very understated and underrated. I think if I had paid much more for a watch I would be afraid to wear it lol
I just bought one of these watches. Its the new brighter carbon fiber look. So far loving it. Not finding any problems with the stock strap. But that red strap does look tight. 👍
Think how amazing this Gshock would be if it had a vibe alarm.
This watch really suits your wrist. The GWG1000 & 2000 - I would be afraid to use these as 'beaters' - because of the price. The cheaper non solar Mudmasters, make perfect sense. I don't want to wear a watch that you're constantly afraid of getting marked etc. What's the point of wearing a watch that makes you feel inhibited .....

My only negative on this watch is the backlight turning off when cycling through the functions buttons. Other than that this watch is a beast.

nato strap looks cool until you look closer where the gaps are left between watch and hinge.

One point negative in all gshock , is the sound of the alarm, very low for listen and very duration the sound, really dont have sense have the function of the alarm if cant listen it . Of all an great watch
Gg1000 doesn't have backlight like ggb100 mudmaster and grb200 gravitymaster. They are on another level.

Hi there bud I’m trying really hard to find info regarding strap info online regarding the watch I’m just about to purchase, the GWG-1000 here in Australia. The video you have made right here contains the perfect solution for me. NO SPRINGBARS! I’d like to use the same set up that you’ve used here on this GGB100 but from what I can tell, the set up doesn’t seem the same. All others online are saying to use the jays and Kay’s adaptors but they use spring bars too, and I’ve had them fail too often. Any idea how I could use the method you’ve used here, on a GWG?
Or better still, a solid bar/nato set up?

To be honest as far as I know the only way to use a nato on the gwg1000 would be with the jays and kays adapter on the ggb100 its easy to install a nato without it, because the design of the original strap is slightly different , I did previously try to install a nato on a gg1000 and it didnt work as well.

Yep the radio controlled G shocks are great IF you get a radio signal in the part of the world where you live

Yes you need too clearance from the state department! This thing tells the time so accurately that alien interference is suspected! You might have to go before congress in order to buy one!

I would buy one of these, but I never ever seen anyone on youtube, were them, with long sleeves on, accept in a promotional video from Casio.
It is kind of creepy that all the the reviews on these, large size G-shocks are done in a room, not out side.
Makes me wonder how much of a pain in the ass these watches are in reality, to were outside with long sleeves.
Even though I live and work out side in AZ in -25 to over 115 I were long sleeves.
You got a point 🤔 I never really wear this watch with long sleeves but I think is because subconsciously my brain knows it might be uncomfortable haha, I mean if I was to wear it with a long sleeve ill probably just wear it a bit loose, cuz it for sure wont go under the cuff, But thats the problem when getting a casio with more than the basic functionalities, you get a bulkier watch, in my opinion this watch is not something to wear as a beater watch even tho they advertise it like that. "no such thing as a 400 dllr beater watch in my opinion" I recomend the casio dw290 for a beater watch ( under 40 dllrs) or the gd350 g shock

I'ts just my humble opinion, Look wise, money wise and functionality wise, it is for me. Everyone has the right of having their own opinion .
Solar power is a nightmare as it ages. That solar battery is super hard to find here in my part of the world, not to mention very expensive to replace. Better just to have a simple regular battery. That solar charging is a pain the butt in the long run.
