Yeah, that's what usually people call "periods" in artists work. If artist in whatever medium paint, music, makes same style for years it is boring and they don't develop. Like you would change styles of clothes over they years,you won't wear same stuff in your 30s, that you wore in your 20s.
And as viewer it is ok to like particular style from artist and not like the other style, but don't be entitled to say what they should and should not do

I'm not sure all your fans like your new side as an abstract painter. However, we wish you all the best in your professional career.
Not an abstract art, it is clear surrealism. Check Max Ernst, Yves Tanguy etc. Surrealism can be somewhat abstract, but the big difference is that there is painted objects which draws from the unconscious/irrational and they tend to appear real in some sense - for instance have defined material to them, have shadow, have perspective, atmosphere/horizon and so on - all properties more close to realism - you can see here. Abstract art on other hand is not trying to refer to or represent anything in the natural world, doesn't want to represent "new reality" with realistic approaches - the subject of abstract art is the artwork itself; and the colors themself, the shapes themself, the lines themself, the textures themself. Check Clifford Stil , Franz Kline etc.

Cesar, when you compose with imagined forms do you prefer to depict the light wholisticly as if a consistent light is effecting the scene or do you prefer to light each object individually? I wonder if the sense of realism within the fantasy benefits from consistent lighting scheme

Hi Cesar. Have you had any problems with painting on unstretched canvas especially when you have them stretched later on for a show or a buyer? Unstretched canvases are much more affordable than prestretched ones and They are also easier to store.
