It takes real commitment to make a film so misleading. The case is glued tight, I've spent well over an hour sawing, cutting and prizing the case apart without damaging the internal workings. I have it working - of sorts- but in no way is it as straightforward as you make out. If I could I would never have started.

Use glue adhesive next time. Work smart not hard. Key cover was prepared for video and I opened its before recording. Video shows how to open it and remove and replace PCB board from old to new cover. Application of glue adhesive it’s simple. Use a little of glue remover then move plastics that liquid can go deeper and allows your to open it without breaking. This proves takes me around 30 minutes with glue remover to open it.

@@newcarkeysworld really great of you to mention your tactic as to how to open the key case when you seem to have omitted to do so on the original video. Without this (unproven) insight the alternative is to pretty much cut the whole case apart.

You put the wrong blade in the new case. I’ve attempted to change my Vectra fob foe a new one,but the fitting where the base of the old key blade fits is different in the new casing.

Tened en cuenta que con eso solo podras abrir/cerrar desde el mando a distancia, no podrias arrancar el coche hasta que no grabes en la propia llave el mismo dibujo que tu llave original (si no lo haces esta llave no entra en el bombin de arrancado porque no tiene los dientes grabados)

hello, the new key is virgin how can you you turn the key ?? we could change it and install the old one who's engraved. i'm effraid that it won't turn if i don't use the old one..

Well, you cant. First thing I noticed when watching this. You have to exchange the key-blades and use the old one.
