I would have like to seen Blitzwing in the SS 86 line! Just because of the package! Plus I love the line “ Come on down Autobrat!”
I understand the packaging, but I don’t think it would have mattered. The line is very interchangeable Which is nice! Maybe they will release a more decoed version in the 86 line
he was waiting on my doorstep when i got home from work last night. i don't mind the modes for what it is. we gotta temper these "cartoon accurate" expectations when dealing with real life, 3d objects vs something drawn. good review, bro!
the tank mode look great
the jet mode is brutally ugly
the robot mode is absolutely gorgeous! I love the fact they didnt force the 3 faces gimmick from animated.

Yep, a definitely better representation of Blitzwing! I still have my Titan Returns and the Generations versions as well in my collection, but they nailed it for the new Legacy version, looks way more accurate this time, as is the color scheme, bit of a backpack in this one. Still, very nice review, Paul!
I just got him today at Walmart, I like the bot & tank mode. Jet is trash, I am still keeping my Titans Return Blitzwing.
The knees did NOT tab in that easily for me the first time I transformed him to bot mode. But once tabbed they definitely stay in. I found him yesterday at Walmart. Great figure. Displays well with Astrotrain.
i love it! yes the thank mode has the front of the jet sticking out and jet mode is off but thanks to you i will buy it soon!

After more messing (without snapping!) with the lower legs, I got them to snap neatly, so feeling better (found his sword I instantly lost), so far happier. Jet mode is still compact, clunky, boxy junk, but few people display his jet-mode anyway!
Love that robot mode. The other 2 modes I'm not a fan of and for the price I'll skip this version and wait for the next Blitzwing to come around.
Honestly, Generations Blitzwing with the three faces is so perfect in my book that it will take something much better than this to replace him.

Blitzwing bio says he gets stuck mid transformation sometimes. Nit hard to imagine he gets it mixed up a lot too.
This is good, but for the price I'm sticking with my titans return one. The head on this one is fantastic tho.
Same here. The price increase, plus being smaller factored in my choice too. However if I ever catch him at discount, then definitely because he looks too good to pass up .
Thanks for the great video! The tabs on mine’s lower legs don’t want to play nice, making the wrap-around panels impossible to line up and click into proper place, and imho he has the worst looking jet mode of any transformer I’ve seen, but thankfully his tank mode is quite nice. His head is just a bit too big when next to Leader Class Astrotrain. Hoping this review will help me with tabbing his lower legs correctly, and he’d be much cooler. I got halfway through going to jet-mode before skipping it in favor of bot-mode. It just looks like half a plane glued to tank-ish parts. And the red cannons/hands (with 6 fingers) are pointless.
The alt modes aren't good but the robot mode is fantastic and that's how it'll be displayed anyway.
I actually love this Blitzwing. I can't put him down. I was happy with the thrilling 30 Blitzwing but this one is my Definitive version. Plus I take the energon cannons and holster it to the back of Blitzwing or give it to scourges ( optimus prime mold ) base mode for cannons.
He's a little too chunky for me unfortunately. Would love a Cybertron style

He's a must buy for me. Always loved the Triple Changers. Hopefully we'll get Astrotrain and Octane to round out the Decepticons then we get Broadside and Sandstorm to go with Springer for the Autobots. But yeah those fists. Could a secret "Build a Figure" be in the works? These just don't seem to really belong with Blitzwing

Blitzwing with big hands does look silly but be more useful in battle than you think.
I can't wait to get this guy! While I like the TR version, he just didn't fit with the newer figures.

Can you fold in the cannon while in robot mode but swivel the turret 180 to leave just the stubby end of the turret showing behind his head?

yeah that jet mode would never actually fly.
A fake cockpit that's placed under the real one who's only purpose is to stick out in tank mode is one of the most pointless things I've seen in a transformer toy.

Tank mode having the cockpit stick out is the one single reason I'm not buying this one. Fix that, and I'm all over this. But like this... I just can't. It's awful.
To be fair to the figure, if you watch the G1 series abs even the movie the cockpit does actually stick out the front if him in tank mode, albeit not quite as much as the figure here. I bought the figure myself and it's pretty good in hand
Horrible. The tank mode is barely acceptable. Jet mode is a farce. Robot mode looks ok if not a little too wide... for the price point, I think THEY think we'll gobble up just about anything. F@#$ them lol.
Also, personally, I've been a fan of this channel for some time. But this trend of taking "stolen" figures is disgusting to me. I've unsubed for now. Maybe if this trend ends, I could see myself resubbing at some point... but not till this type of "decision making" is part of this channel. Sorry.
With all due respect...you must have not been around THAT long as me and several other long time TF reviewers started doing videos like this in 2009. I was the very first one to review a figure like that. It's not a trend. It's been around for a long time and the people doing it nowadays are hopping on the bandwagon. That being said, while yes i did get it from overseas, which i admitted to, it's also released in stores now. You're free to do what you want and i'm sure you'll carry on doing whatever you want to do. I'm not going to beg someone to stay subscribed to me when at the end of the day, my job is to review things. The earlier they get reviewed, the better for consumers so that they can get an idea of what they're getting. More people than not, like seeing these looks at figures early. And i will continue to provide that service for viewers as much as i possibly can.
