Phil's far from perfect, has millions of flaws and done a lot of crap in his life but you still can't help but sympathise with him here. He accepted a guy into his family, treated him like a son, gave him a lot only to find out that he had been sleeping with his wife behind his back and also got her pregnant. Would sting like hell if that happened to a woman.
This scene reminds a little of the scene in the Long Good Friday where Bob Hoskins gives the "I treated you lot well, even when you was out of order" speech.
Phil is responsible for causing the boat crash which resulted in Denny's death yet he never faced the consequences of his fatal actions and Sharon forgave him too quickly and never held him accountable for her son's demise like she did Ian.
@ilikebacon The boat crash happened AFTER Ian locked him up, had he known about the crash he'd never have locked him in the first place and we saw how he rushed back to save Denny, meanwhile Phil and Ben knew there are people on the boat yet they didn't care if their stupid actions could put those people's lives in danger. The Mitchells are bunch of criminals who should be jailed for life.
I guess you're new to Eastenders Forza. You clearly don't realise this show is alot better when Phil Mitchell is on it. Or does he not fit your Social Justice Warrior narrative? Ian deserved everything bad that happened to him. It's Ian's fault for locking Dennis in the room. Dennis would've survived if Ian didn't lock Dennis up. Ian is a rat and deserved everything he got. He's a runt and hopefully something bad happened to him off-screen. Phil and Keanu caused the crash. But Ian caused the end of Dennis.
