Unfortunately killing Chantelle off is a realistic outcome in many true domestic abuse cases and therefore the writers must have wanted to depict a true to life ending. Very sad ☹️
The whole reason for the introduction of her character was to be killed through domestic abuse. It was a first for British soap history and sadly this is the most common result of DV.
even though gray made it look like an accident I reckon if Chantelle did live he would of still abused her so I think gray was thinking “at least she’s no longer in pain, and I can’t hurt her anymore”

There was no need to kill Chantelle off. Could have happily lived with kheerat and then grat. could have been locked up for killing both kush and Tina

If I remember correctly, she had been careless leaving a top secret script lying around. Then shortly after she was leaving.
