Excellent video mate, been riding a couple of years now and just picked up a little 125 supermoto style bike (terrified myself lifting the front wheel on my 650 previously) and this method worked perfectly.....all practice practice practice now but you've helped me with the basics thanks
I still think this video is probably the best one to get you started. A few months on and a bit of practice and I'm now consistently getting that front wheel nice and high, brap brap brap and keeping it up there...can even do stand ups and learning how to change into second....thanks again for the great start
great informative video! been on motorcycles most of my life, just got my first dirtbike. i wanna try this, just not there yet…. i’m thinking a hard flat grassy field might be best for falls
I have the same bike as you WR125R but i've spent a fair amount of cash on it to look decent so i really don't wanna come off is what am nervous about and scratching me bike up lol, always wanted to learn how to wheelie myself this video has helped tbh will give it a bash tomorrow thanks man! i was always sketchy of how to release the clutch but now i've seen this video and same bike as me now i know what todo. cheers man!
hi mate! i also have a wr and i do manage to get the wheel up to some point , but after that i feel like my feet are falling off the pegs.. i am a bit afraid to go higher as i might fall and crash. keep in mind that i don't really have supermoto style boots.. any tips would be appreciated :D love the vid
Great tutorial! I managed to get my front wheel up a little the other day but I've now changed my front sprocket to a 17 tooth (was 16), Do you think it's possible to wheelie with that setup as it's more for top end not acceleration? :D
+Two Wheel Review I didn't really pick up much speed so only 5mph... I was fairly far back but I'll give it another go tomorrow. Practice makes perfect!
I have a wr 125 x and i tried doing a wheelie sitting on the back but the front wheel just goes up a little bit. I even gave full gass before letting the clutch go but that doesn't do it. Any help?
Try leaning back a little I did it on a yamaha yzf r125 a few days ago after briefly watch this video before school, then on my second try got the wheel right up for about 5 seconds
Hi. thanks this helped me really, good video. I was wondering that do you give full throtle or just half in this video, becouse its sounds like full but you said in the video that give half throtle. Thanks. :D for the great video.
nice video, but i just cant find the balance point.. i have ybr 125. whenever i do wheelie the bike goes up and lands back down no matter what i do i just cant maintain it. and i dont wana do that brub brub thing. the bike gets to a dangerous height
+hassan nawaz Hey Hassan, you'll most likely find that 'dangerous height' is close to balance point its a scary experience getting there but with time, practice and patience you will improve, try sitting further back in the bikes seat aswell as going a little slower all trial and error, good luck!
You can wheely with just about anything. People do it with their 50cc bikes so a motorcycle that has a 150% bigger engine can definitely do it because the weight ratio difference is nowhere near that high
yea i guess ybr cant, my bike acts differently then what happens in video, I can only do wheelie once but when im there my bike sounds like its on 5th gear or something, It doesn't respond to further throttle changes. A friend of mine also said that it is possible to do wheelie on ybr but its hard and that i should use some other bike for learning wheeling. He had honda cg125
all you can do is just keep practicing mate, get on the grass first then you will have the confidance to rip that wheel up wherever !! and nice vid mate and good bike, i had a 400 wr not long ago, sold it and bought a pitbike for a new project, busy customising it, got some vids on my channel feel free to check it out and/or subscribe if any1 intrested.
+Two Wheel Review cheers mate thanks for the info. I was looking at the ktm duke 125 but i think ill be better on the wr125 as its abit bigger and im 6ft 4
@@cestlavie6913 Hi, Im getting better and better! Its really easy, you just have to do what he says in the video and push your weight back on the bike and you will lift up. Its really fun!
@@aidanhinchliffe166 Almost nothing serious. I fell on right side and the taillight broke and the backfender broke because it was also looped by the previous owner. Hello how do you put al cross brace on? Sounds like a dumb question but the clamp is rigid and wont wrap around the handle bar.
Anybody got an idea?
1 person flipped their bike while doing this
Pretty sure theres more that just one
Now 39 people flipped their bike
Now 100 people flipped their bike
I’m a statistic

the best way to learn to wheelie and use the rear brake is to just go over a couple time cuz we all know u learn from mistakes
The only Tutorial I got info from! Great video and explanation
dopest 125 ive ever seen
Ethan the Hoonigan its the stock look
Yamaha wr125x btw
Tried to 1 up him with my own WR build
u have seen really ugly 125 then
Julle i think its badass

How much throttle should I give to pull a wheelie but without flippin over? Or is the WR so heavy that you surely can give full throttle?
Awesome tutorial man congrats and thx 👌🏻

That... That hurt. But I'm gonna try again 😂 genuinely helpful video 👌
Arrow exhaust sounds immense !
what camera and mic do you use, I am needing a cheap one that can listen to me and record the road x
So did you brake anything when learning?
Thanks for the video very help full keep up with the good videos 😀
+REVBOMBTOM 17 let me know how you get on :)
+Two Wheel Review will do
do you shift to second or do you drive in first all the time
Does the same apply for a kx 250 2 stroke
What exhaust you got, sounds good. I've got the MT-125 which is same engine as yours I think so I'll give it a go :)
its the full arrow exhaust system, however the wr has a longer end can compared to the mt/yzf arrow exhaust which gives it a heavier bass sound :)
are you trying to pick up the wheel from second gear?
First (1) marce or second?
wouldn't it reck the bike if u let go of the clutch like that?
I’ve got a friend with a 200 2 stroke, it’s a death sentence and I twisted the throttle half way and got to balance point using no clutch
Yeah I tried my friend's 2t 250cc. It was hilariously snappy, every cycle pulled quite a bit at low revs.
Great tutorial! I managed to get my front wheel up a little the other day but I've now changed my front sprocket to a 17 tooth (was 16), Do you think it's possible to wheelie with that setup as it's more for top end not acceleration? :D

Ross RS what speed and are you sitting back in the seat?

Ross RS try pressing down the forks and shifting weight back as you pop the clutch, exactly keep at it man! :)
What kind of muffler do you have?
Which exhaust do you got
are you having full throttle?
which handguards are these?
Thanks man really helped

That's if you havnt already done it, or got a new bike btw...
What if im terrified of messing my clutch/engine or forks up
Take the tick over up a touch and richen the mixture a bit to improve throttle response

garpagarp he gave half to pop the front wheel up i think
What gear is being used?
Does this technique work on a 2 stroke bike? I have a 125cc Husqvarna WRK and I am trying to learn for the first time how to wheelie.
Thanks
Quase Patrocinad yeh it should
Quase Patrocinad it will work but be carefull with that power band two stroke are a bitch to learn wheelies on
on a 2 stroke its just squeese the gas and it will come up by it selvs
Is engine braking on 2strokes bad?
Adrian Fjeldahl there is no engine braking on two strokes
You forget to tell what gear did you start the wheelie
No, he said 1st gear.
Which gear should the bike be in?
The Viewer, he said the 1st gear.
Great video
Will this work on my yz125, my wheel barely comes up.
Taydo LoC if your yz125 is having trouble getting up either your not giving enough throttle or your bike is broken
What gear are you in
Lol i did the dropping the clutch approach on a ybr, 3 weeks later RIP Clutch probably the wrong bike tbf
im guessing you changed to second gear to start the wheelie? can anyone confirm ?
Watch the video. Hes not changing gears.

The reason I looked this up is cuz I tried it and I thought I had it at first but then I lost balance and fell on top of my bike and messed my knee up
does this damage my bike and can i do this with 50cc 2stroke
50cc’s are so fun to pop wheelies on
But with a 50cc you just put it in first gear, plant your feet and hit the gas
cool video. but why do you have 2 front fenders?
Cool comment. But this video is hella old
I remeber watching this 2 yrs ago
gonna try this on my ttr125 but might need a chest protector 😬
Is it possible to get the front wheel up on a 80cc using the throttle?

Martin Pavelson it can be done even on a 50cc depends on the rider and skills
nice video and nice comments! :D
Thats so fuckin cool man thank you for the post. I cant wait to learn :)

It’s not bad for the engine? Or the clutch?
yes it is bad.

1st
