I've always thought this song is a great example of a Beatles songs that, if it had been written by another band, might well have been there biggest hit and they might have rested on that laurel for the rest of their career. For the Beatles, it was just another day at the office. Always loved Paul's smooth vocals on it.
This actually a really good input because tbh, this isn’t one of the biggest Beatles hits but it has the sound of one of those “one hit wonder” garage bands that came out in the 60s, I never actually thought of it that way
this was the first Beatles song that hooked me - I was about 10 and found the combined sound captivating and magical. Shifts from major to minor seamlessly under the melody
On a Friday afternoon, when I got off of work, and hopped in my car to drive to meet friends for Happy Hour, I blasted this song in my car and sang along at the top of my lungs. I was in such a good mood that the weekend was here, and this was the best song to sing to!
Montreal crowds are generally some of the best. Sometimes, when legends play, the crowd is too stunned to be jumping up and down. They sit there and WATCH a Master at work. But deep inside, they are rocking out!
I was a teen-aged boy when I heard this song on AM radio. The radio station had just received an advanced release copy of the Beatles latest album HELP and the DJ played this song not only once, but TWICE in a row, back-to-back, which was unheard of back in the day. Not only did I buy the album, but also saw the movie at the the theater.
The Help album to me was my favorite Beatles album it didn’t have a lot of songs but I loved every song on this album and Paul’s songs were amazing. Especially this one.
I look to that crowd and think to myself: "How can that people watch the concert sitting down?" I don't want to boast, but if that concert were here, in Brasil (Brazil), the crowd would be jumping and dancing, celebrating the opportunity to be in front of a living legend!
GOOD GOD! Number one this is an excellent video. Thanks. I thought I would watch this and see an old P.M. who would be a shadow of himself, and to my glee, I saw Sir Paul McCartney. kicking MAJOR ass. I LOVE it! Thanks again.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! such a cute old guy paul is with his suspenders! Still strong and kickin' I see! Poor guys gotta be so overworked for 50+ years of making that beautiful music!
the audience didn't get it.. I t was a song from "HELP" Is that right? Anyway I noticed the audience just sat there and while I watched the video I was into the song because I understand the music and when it was written. I am a Beatle fan since I was 13 that was then and now I only have Paul and Ringo. BTW George Harrison was my fav Beatle musician and I miss him dearly.
Paul, of course, is brilliant but what makes him sound so good is the backing band. Check out the young chap on his right, a fabulous guitarist with a perfectly pitched back up voice.
He sing in the original key and hasn't played/sung this tune in a long time (+ the video do have a bad quality), he's voice is just sounding a bit older!
One of the greatest songs by the beatles.
Very catchy and just awesome!
This song always was and will forever be a masterpiece.
I agree
It's pretty cool how close Paul kept his singing voice from the 1960's
A perfect rock song.
I miss Lennon here.
The1WhoKnowsTheTruth it is Harrison what Misses
both of them
Right?
One of the all-time greatest straight ahead RnR songs ever recorded.
One of my very favorite Beatles songs. Wears well over the years.

When I think of things they did, it makes me want to cry.....
A truly great tune...of the many.
this was the first Beatles song that hooked me - I was about 10 and found the combined sound captivating and magical. Shifts from major to minor seamlessly under the melody
This is really amazing. 46 years after Help, he remembered the song, and with vocals that came real close to 1965. Incredible.
Billy does not quite get Paul down on this one
Fantastic live, great song
HELP! is probably my favorite Beatle album. Love this song. You're Gonna Lose That Girl, too. Two of my fave Beatle songs.
He's the best song writer in 100 years. And to play bass and sing is nearly impossible
Greatest bass player I've ever heard, fwiw

WHEN U SEE THIS, YOU SAY HOW GOOD HE CAN SOUND IN CONCERT IN HIS YOUTH HE REALLY ROCKS!

it seems incredible that even a Beatle singing these issues as this cute and simple, because the Beatles created a beautiful music, thanks McCartney.
I love this song but it's just a better bit (to me) when they were young...still grateful to you for taking this one off the shelf though Paul.
Awesome Beatles classic. I love this song :)
Thank you, Sir Paul, for all those magnificent songs you created together with that other genius, John.
John & George RIP.
Great that he has given in to playing some of the material that he probably doesn't consider his best by any means, but that we all LOVE!
Paul McCartney simplesmente o máximo... Beatles sempre Beatles. Porto Alegre/RS - Brasil
Awww, he's still so adorable. Go Paul! You are a survivor of the best kind. Love you!
A sublime song, my favourite
Great performance!
I miss hearing George in the chorus of this song when he sang AHHHH THE NIGHT BEFOOOOREE
I first heard this on 8 track! It sounds as good now as it did then. That's the measure of a great song- you never get tired of hearing it.
Great Song from the Film Help!! :-)))
Hah! At the start he says "You might remember this one." Then he turns around and it looks like he says to the band "I hope I do!"
Great catch!
He does. So funny
Because he is not the author of this song.
@@odenseassholesstinker3119 They wrote own music and played on records but PID
This is Billy. Paul died in 1966.
So great!!!!!
I love you, Paul. Now and forever.
That's a really Good Shoe as Ed Sullivan would say . Good music never goes out of style. Classic Music Beatles enjoyable music IS timeless ! : )

僕は、アルバム・ヘルプ!の中で、この曲が、大好きなんですよ!コンサートで、聴きたかったです!
Actually, it was George and John doing the backing vocals on this one...
Classic !!!
Paul has more energy than the people twenty years younger than him in the audience!
Fantastica!!! Ciao da Milano 🇮🇹🇮🇹
No matter what he (and the other 3) did after their split( a lot of it great) they carry the Beatle crown forever.
Love .
I miss Lennon every day
The Help album to me was my favorite Beatles album it didn’t have a lot of songs but I loved every song on this album and Paul’s songs were amazing. Especially this one.
OMG I want him now again in Mexico only to hear this jewel live!!!
Effin brilliant!!!
I look to that crowd and think to myself: "How can that people watch the concert sitting down?"

@TheBeatlesLiveOn It really is a fabulous song, this and Another Girl are two underplayed classic Beatles numbers that should get played more.
Great video! Woulda been cool if Paul had broken out the tan jacket .
Damn dude, Paul looks and sounds fucking great still! How does he do it?
I know he’s old enough to be my dad, but gosh… he’s still SO CUTE!!!

Pole dekuji🥹!👍👍👍
Go Paul! Still able to hit the high note at 1:15!
He’s always been a high tenor. That A is harder now than it used to be.
僕が、ビートルズのアルバム・ヘルプ!の中で、一番大好きな曲なんですよ❗ポール❗日本で、コンサートに、行く機会が、あったら、この曲を、演奏して下さいね❗
John too!
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! such a cute old guy paul is with his suspenders! Still strong and kickin' I see! Poor guys gotta be so overworked for 50+ years of making that beautiful music!
Singing thousands of times, 55 years, gotta give credit
I wonder if the Beatles considered playing this during their summer '65 tour of the States.
Love this song, but it misses Johns electric piano
First heard this song in the movie “HELP”
ESPERO Q ALGUN DIA LLEGUE PAUL MCCARTNEY A BOLIVIA.........ACA LO ESTAREMOS ESPERANDO
Was there both nights
I shall assist.
James Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966 and was replaced by William (Billy). This is the truth no matter what!
BD: "Forever Young";)
Curious, what equipement did you use to tape this? Great video of a great show.
@KaptKan1 I agree, only one or two wings songs stand up.
He's getting old, that's life... :( BUT HE STILL ROCKS!!!! :D
Hope he gets voice excercises/training so he can sound like he used to

George never sang this song, Paul did from the movie Help!
