Congratulations!!!! How exciting! Now you’ll have the space for such amazing projects. Best to you both on this journey!
Cheers for that. We're enjoying it so far. 👍
What a wonderful adventure ahead!!!
Don't worry about being "cut off" from rain.
Once you're set up, this really won't be a problem.
Being self-sufficient means not needing to go to town all the time. 😊
I used to love being flooded in as a kid. 😉 Unfortunately, B could still go to work as she does a lot online.
Cheers BFG.
Such exciting news!
I love all the plans you have for the farm. Good luck to you guys. As always such a great inspiration.
Thanks Morne. Hope all's well with you mate.
looking forward to seeing what you end up getting!
Cheers Rob.
Congratulations to you both!!! Fingers crossed you find the perfect lot.
Thanks Karen. We have seen a few more since these 2 & the others that tonight's video is looking at.
Oh I’m so excited for you! Can’t wait to see your new place!
Thanks Adie. 😁 We've narrowed our search down to areas south of Maryborough as we don't think many folks from Brissy or the Sunshine cost will travel past there for a workshop.
Cheers & have a fantastic week. 😁
I am so so happy for you. Congratulations! This will be an amazing adventure.
Cheers mate. 😁😁
I dont know if anyone has mentioned this but Joel Salatin would be a great youtube watch. I hope the best for you two. You deserve it.
I've been following him for a few years now & managed to see him talk when he came over a few years back. He's a walking goldmine of ideas.
Cheers Bradley.
Congratulations. I'm so excited for you!!
Thanks Cisca. Hope you've been keeping well.
good luck guys!looking forward to seeing the next vid
The follow up video will be live in about an 30-40 minutes of me posting this I think TCK.
Cheers & have a top one.
Fantastic news guys! I like that you've stuck near the coast. Clever thinking.
The west of the divide would be a bit to dry for us. Workable if there was ground water available but we'd need a larger block for the amount of cattle we want to run.
Cheers Andy.
How exciting for you both.
Rob your smile is like a kid in a candy store 😁. Great to see.
Good luck with the search.
Cheers mate. Tonight video is PT2 to this one. Not as happy in it as this one but we learned a lesson.
Just got back from looking at 2 more closer to Gympie. One looks like it have shot to the top of the list. Will post a video on that trip one later this week.
Hope you're having a fantastic weekend Mark.
That is very good and exciting news. And I am very much looking forward to see the updates on future projects. A huge 👍 from the Netherlands.
Cheers mate. I have PT 2 of this trip going live in a few hours & the video of this weekends trip will be posted next week.
Cheers & have a top one mate.
All sounds great wish you both all the luck & looking forward to seeing you grow your farm on here
Thanks Gary. 👍
Happy to hear and looking forward to whatever you pick
Cheers MrPants.👍
So excited for you both! This has been a long time coming.
Thanks Tairis.
How exciting. I'm on Atherton Tablelands, fantastic area....just sayin
Hey LouLou. Spent a while living up there when Dad was sandblasting the pipeline back in the late 70'S. Beautiful part of the world.
Great update, you deserve good things. Glad to watch it coming together
Many Thanks Lady Deb. 😁 We went up again yesterday to look around Gympie & am sure B will fill you in.
Thanks for the mint as well. I'll be popping it in the Aquaponics in the morning.
How exciting 😊 congratulations 🥳
Thanks Michelle. 😁👍
Fab news, Rob & Bianca!
I understand your concern regarding the wild lantanas. During our upbringing, my siblings and I spent a considerable amount of time uprooting them from our different plantations. Us kids used to seek refuge under the lantanas for fun, but we were fortunate to be thin and agile back then, as the prickly nature of this plant can give you a mean scratch.
I like the last property but I see how the wet season could be problematic. Good luck finding your new farm. :)
Thanks Mary. 😁 The other properties have been a lot clearer than that one but there is a small amount on all we've seen so far.
Hope you're doing well down there in the chilly south. I had to put socks on yesterday.... 🥶
Fantastic, Good luck looking for your new farm, it will be wonderful.
Thanks Mary.😁
Great video thanks!
Congratulations and good luck to you! This is awesome to see, and also a dream of ours...hoping to make it a reality when the time is right.
In the meantime, after years of following your channel with intrigue, I finally setup the IBC container we picked up a couple years back for an aquaponics system. Should I have waited so long to dive in? Probably not...but I'm thankful for the wealth of knowledge that you have shared with this community and am confident that we'll just be scratching the surface this year before expanding the system next year.
Cheers.
That's great to hear mate. 👍 It took me two years to build our first system.
What a great video! I can see the excitement in both your faces.
Yep. that first day was a great one. The second day (PT2 video), that's another story & subject of tonight's video Matthew.
Cheers mate.
Oh guys. Wishing you every success and hope yas fulfill your dreams.
Thanks Glen. 👍
Congrats to you and yours!
Cheers Shawn. 👍
Super happy with this announcement! (Not watched the vid yet just from the title) but I can't wait to see how you scale up your aquaponics to suit a larger footprint and how much you can produce on a larger space! Can't wait to see more content 🙂
I'm thinking I could adapt it as a fodder system..... 🤔
Cheers Sam.
Thats wonderful, happy for you Rob. Best wishes from Japan
Thanks ZN. 😁👍
Good on ya for having a go, good luck
Cheers mate.
Looking forward to hearing what happens next. All the best.
Cheers. 👍
Good evening Rob
That second patch is my dream too mate. Good luck with your decision!
Happy for y'all.
It's a bit further away than what we'd like but it ticked so many boxes.
Bloody awesome to hear mate. This is exactly my plan in the near future. There are so many gadgets out now to make this very doable.
Cheers OGA. Has been a long time coming & am kicking myself that we didn't start looking a few years ago.
Hope you get to make the move yourself at some point.
I'm looking forward to watching your journey.
Thanks Paula. We went out again today to look at some properties closer to home.
Hope all's well with you.
Good luck, very jealous can’t wait the updates.
Cheers Daniel. 👍 One coming in a few minutes & another next weekend hopefully.
G'day Rob. Everyone seem to buying farms nowadays. Its alot of work! Good luck on your adventure :) Its so much fun too
Thanks Tone. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to handle the smaller size block we're looking at.
Hope all's well with you.
Good Luck on your journey!!
Thanks 😁
So happy for you guys. We are almost buying our own small lifestyle property at the moment, so can really understand how you are feeling!
Nice one James. Hope you find a block that fits you folks well.
@@RobsAquaponics Our offer for the property was accepted today! Much excitement!
Pretty cool! Congratulations :)
Thanks Axel. 👍😁
That's really cool that first property owner gave you such honest advice on that property.
He was a top bloke to chat with. Gave us some great advice on goats as well.
Up my neck of the woods. I was wondering when you’d pull the trigger.
Super excited to have you close by.
Keen to help set up whatever you need. I have acquired some skills in fencing.
Though I feel like I can learn a lot about grass from Bianca.
Excited for the future.
Cheers Mitch. 👍 We were back up there yesterday looking closer to Gympie & found 2 we've added to the maybe list.
Will make an effort to stop by next time we pop up & say G'Day if you're available.
Loved the dragon fruit vid BTW. We have the smaller variety growing out the front here. Never does much cop fruit wise. The yellow ones a my fav but are prickly little suckers.
🍻🍻
Hey Rob, I am so pleased to hear this update. I first messaged you almost ten years ago, it was about Aquaponics but I was messaging you from my off grid farm. You will thrive on your homestead and you will never look back. As for feeding cattle or your animals, grow Barley grass from seed and harvest every 7 days, depending on grain prices it could be an a option for you. God bless mate
Hi mate & thanks for the tip. I've sprouted wheat with the aquaponics before but have seen cattle do well on barley too.
Only used the wheat due to having infested grain we weer using to make flour.
Whereabouts is you farm?
@@RobsAquaponics It is in Northern NSW, in a place called Tabulam or where I'm in Pretty Gully, good prices around there for land as I'm sure up your way too. As for the fodder it's a go especially if you can replenish your own grain stocks & boiled barley does well with pigs too. Are you going a little bigger when you get settled on your homestead with aquaponics?
@@breaknfaces Not sure yet. It will depend on the property I think.
My Aunty had land down there on the Clarence. Sold up decades ago but it was a lovely place.
@@RobsAquaponics Yeah that's one of the rivers close by. Nice one mate cant wait to see your next updates
the options are beatiful... we live on property similar to the last one with the mountains. its beautiful here to. were in the foothills in the smokies
That's a beautiful part of the world Penny, but I suppose you don't need me to tell you that. 😉
Cheers & have a great one.
Great idea, wish you well
Cheers Shane.
You bloody beauty, congratulations legends...☮💚💡🌱
Cheers TG. 👍😁
Congratulations!!!
Cheers Ryan.
Good luck with the property hunting! 🌳🏡
Thanks Johnny. 👍
We moved from Ipswich almost 18 months ago, 2.5 acres in Central Qld; 1hr to Rockhampton & 2hr to Bundy.
Best thing we have done; 15 mins from nearest town & work, got some sheep & chickens now, put in a 13.26kwh system (saving for batteries).
Just been doing fencing & clearing deadfall trees mainly. 100k of rain water+ septic.
That's a decent amount of tanks Max. You'd be in the dry tropic up there wouldn't you?
We're looking a bit further south for the next few weeks between Maryborough & Gympie to see if anything turns up.
Cheers mate.
@@RobsAquaponics Dry & humid at the moment- similar to Rocky or Gladstone type weather, get the odd overnight/ day shower, but has really died off as we head towards winter.
swales, ponds, food forest, ground cover, terracing, etc. all great things to help build up the local water table, storing water between seasons. using the septic tank as a natural gas generating system, compressing it into a second tank, to be burning in a ng generator, should help with power beyond solar limitations. making wood gas, and pyrolysis systems, means more fuel options, and handy side products. the charcoal can be used to filter water, before being used in the soil as a fertilizer. the water from the aquaponics could be used to help boost compost tea microbes, for better crop yields.
so much room, for so many toys to play with. each toy, has so much value.
Would like to play with a lot of those ideas. 👍
We will be sitting back & observing how the different systems interact for a while before we pull the trigger on any major developments though.
Looks great 👍🏿 👌
Cheers ZS. 👍
Good on ya Rob Bob
Thanks Matt. 👍
it may seem crazy but i'm really excited to see what you end up with. and really happy to see you all get away from it all. wishing the best for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks HopeChannelCat. 😁👍We're hoping to get somewhere before Summer starts here.
Rob & Bianca,
Congratulations. I'm so jealous, but I wish you so much success, happiness, peace and love.
Greetings from South Africa
Many thanks. 😁
Wishing you all the best as well TA207.
Excellent!
Thanks folks. Will be fun to get to practice some design ideas on our own place.
Good luck with your farm hunt
Thanks Jane. 😁
Good luck in your hunt.
Cheers mate. 👍
Very exciting for you both
Hello from Indonesia
Thanks. 😁
Lowlines are great breed also maybe square meaters breed which are my favourite glad to hear your actively looking
Thanks for the heads up Malcolm. 👍
Just wanted to say good luck on the farm life I so miss it I wish you the best of luck
Thanks Chris. We went up on another run yesterday & hope to have a vid on that trip posted next week. Tonight's video is PT2 to this one.
Cheers & all the best.
Living the dream!
Hopefully. 🤔😁
Exciting plans for the future. This is the sort of thing i want to do in the future. Living off grid with some animals and growing my own food.
Hope you get the chance to have a crack at it Brett.
Good on ya mate
Cheers Greg. 👍
That is superb news guys, hoping you find the property that ticks most if not all your boxes. On the cattle side, have a look at the Dexter breed which are extremely friendly and predictable animals.
Dexter & lowline are the top of the list if we get a smaller or none productive fodder block I think.
Cheers Adrian.
sounds like a plan i wish you all the very best and maybe we will come up for a visit/course
Cheers Brett. Am planning on doing a few varied ones, just not aquaponics.
Cheers & hope all's well with you mate.
Hey Rob, been watching since the beginning, now you can fulfill your destiny on your new land as our own real life Tom Bombadil 😁😅😉 thanks for all the intense knowledge and videos on Hydro. :))
🤣
I'll still be growing with fish & maybe hydro. Am looking at using it as a potential method to grow fodder.
Cheers mate.
Good luck legends!
Cheers SLB. 👍
love your dream, make it real, hope to meet you some day, all the best
Cheers mate. 👍 Would love to have open days at some point.
@@RobsAquaponics I will be there for sure
When can I move in with you guys lol love that you guys found a farm. Weather here in Ohio, USA but have lettuce and kale in the aquaponics system
🤣 We'll be needing some workers if you're willing to work for food & accommodation. I whip up a mean porridge based gruel. 🤣😉
Living the dream mate good luck. Hope you find the perfect place.
Thanks Dave. Might take a while to find the right place for us but such is.
@@RobsAquaponics Sure you will find the right patch. Bit of land next to me 1200 mtr2 sold for Almost a 1/4 million franks 5 years ago. A frank is = to a us dollar. Only millionaires could afford to buy a farm on flat land here.. That sort of stuff hardly ever comes up for sale here.
That's crazy but I do understand the space restraints European countries have compared to here.
Most of the blocks we're looking at are parts of subdivisions . Some newly done to cash in , others a few decades old.
Robbing the cradle, eh Rob? lol Congratulations on chasing the dream. You guys deserve it. I'm sure you know all the Utube cattle resources like Greg Judy, Joel Salatin, and Pete @ Just a Few Acres Farm. Your glamping venture seems like a perfect fit for a Gofundme style campaign. You should easily raise start up funds by prebooking stays. Anyway, best of luck to you!
🤣 B still thinks I'm the childish one in this relationship. I haven't seen Pete's channel so will have a gander now, thanks.
Thanks Mit & have a top one mate.
Suggest syntropic agriculture and tree hay/pasture are worth your time given what you have said. Good luck 👍
Have read & seen a few videos & it looks very interesting Shannon. Our first focus will be on improving pastures as the focus will mainly be on cattle production. I'd like to try a few methods (depending on the property) that sequesters carbon while imp[roving fertility for native pasture grasses.
Cheers.
So long as I don't hear or see about you guys harvesting animals I'll be cool with that!!
There will be videos that involve animals as food production but the title will let you know so you can scroll on by. 😉
Cheers & have a fantastic one.
I wish you both the best of luck with this project my 1 bit of advice is take it slowly and talk to the neighbours of the property you like 🥰 Blessings Gerowyn
Shall do Gerowyn. So far all the folks have said the neighbours either keep to themselves or are friendly & there if needed.
Hope you all are doing well.
@@RobsAquaponics i learnt a lot about the properties I bought from neighbours that the sellers and rhe council didn't... in Eagleby one of the neighbours was there in the '74 floods and remembered where the water got to and it was very different from what the council maps said... I hope your search goes well 🥰 Blessings Gerowyn
Good on you guys. We only have 5 acres but manage a couple of cows and chickens. Hope you get what you want.
We would settle for less if it was the right block I think Tammy. For some reason many of them look to be around the same price as the larger blocks we've been looking at in most areas.
Thanks & have a top one Tammy.
@@RobsAquaponics Sorry Rob, I didn't mean to sound like you should settle for less. I would have preferred a larger property so I didn't have to buy in feed etc but I know I couldn't do it on my own.
I didn't take it that way Tammy so is all good. 👍 I've seen some fantastic 20 care blocks that could hold the cattle we want but they don't lend themselves to the type of workshops/retreats we want to run.
It's also a hard time to look as the rains have made everything look so lush.
Omg i got a little excited bundaberg regional council is in my neck of the woods. And the second property is. And i know who Rhys is. Who would have thought. Its a tad exciting.
Rhys is a top bloke, gave us loads of pointers & it would be great if we managed to do business with him.
Cheers Amamda.
Congratulations
Thanks MLF. 👍
That free camp looks like the one here in Gin Gin 😊
Yep 😁👍
Good luck
Cheers David. 👍
We just sold our property in that area. We are looking for another one closer to home. Good luck.
Hope you find the right place Mini696.
Hi Guys
Just came across your vid sounds very exciting; we are looking at doing the same but not quite as far as creating a business from it but being self sufficient with water solar and food production I'm looking for to it just as you guys are good luck and enjoy the ride
Cheers Mark
Cheers mark. Hope you get your own block at some point mate. 👍👍
Jeff Lawton style mega swales!
🤣 He does love his swales.
Ah! Another with the secret duck recipe! Muscovy! Property.. high as you can find, west side. Dexters! Another great choice. Grow some Kudzu for feed! Best possible nutrients, no bloat, 500% better yield than hay, good for all land animals.
Thanks for that. It looks like Kudzu is classed as a category 3 restricted invasive plant here in QLD so we'd only utilise it if it was already on the property already.
Cheers mate.
@@RobsAquaponics Yes, they dont like it and went about going after it worldwide. Gets in the way of big ag farming patent products. Monsanto, Dupont, the usual suspects. They used to pay farmers to grow it here in the states before big ag and those families went after it to tear it out. Same ones that invested in getting rid of a great many things for their own product lines to take precedent. Sadly, during the time they used it all yields were at their highest levels ever, and all issues with the petroleum based fertilizers and bug and weed killers have degraded all yields since. It has a long history to go through, but yes, I highly recommend it especially given the ongoing weather issues and your grow zone. Cheers.
Good luck well deserved
Cheers Bo. 👍PT 2 of that trip will be out in a few hours.
Saw a few more places yesterday that have potential & will pop a video up on them next weekend.
Hope you & yours are all doing well.
Room for an airstrip on that nice one…a little Cessna will be the ticket to get to town….and will bring in Brissy pilots to visit :)
Settled on a property that's not really suitable for an airstrip.
Too many trees. 🫤
Cheers Elizabeth.
@@RobsAquaponics a future project…lol…
Looked like a bit of rails tail in that first block plenty of it up here, if you can avoid it do it! if you’re back up Bundy way yell out and come check out our place… on my list of jobs is setup your old aquaponics system I bought from you in Ipswich
There is a bit on most of the places we've looks William. Looked at a few down Gympie way yesterday & one had a few spots of it but was keeping it under control with spot spraying. The second looked clear but was also recently slashed.
Hope you folks are doing well.
Did you guys come across the term - earth tank? I was taught that a farm dam is not a dam because it doesn't block a river, dams block rivers. I was told it's called an earth tank? Or just a tank?. On aviation maps, small ponds of water are labelled as tanks. On farm tours. What a great idea!. On farm stays even better! What about some on farm merch as well? Good luck guys! Sounds awesome!
just called dam here. ponds if you have fish and farming them (or a farmer being derogatory about someone else's dam being smaller than theirs lol, some are blocked off dry water ways as cutting off a river is problematic with the government and authorities for many reasons. You can have earth tanks or ring tanks they're seen on very big farms (almost stations) where they need to store many millions of liters of water for cotton usually. Cubby Station used to be a huge one with multi-mega liter dams/tanks.
A hole in the ground is a pond. A dam consists of dug out material being stacked to hold water in ie- dam wall/bank
i guess a dam is a generic term for bank/wall so you could have a four sided dam and a river dam 🙄
Ring tank. A water storage that does not block a water flow.
Thanks Toby. We're hoping to have the ability to have folks stay on the farm for multi day workshops if we can find the right property. I haven't even thought about a name yet but will mention it to B. We'll probably wait for the property first though as it may give us some inspiration. 👍
Near neighbours. We have a one acre bush block near Gin Gin.
Nice one Miriam. The first property in tonight's video is out that way again.
Cheers & have a top one.
It would be awesome if you had parking spots for offgrid travellers.
I'm just about to embark on a fulltime offgrid adventure for the foreseeable future and it would be amazing to pull up at a nice little farm stay for a few nights.
That's one of the options we're looking at Jayson. Saw another place yesterday just north of Gympie that has that potential.
So good. Both my wife and I are about to go on the exact same journey and get upto 100 acre property but down in nsw towards Canberra. Over 40 acres gives you access to harvesting the feral game too
QLD is 100 acres for pew pews to harvest
@@downunderfulla6001 As long as it's rural & safe we were told in our QLD safety course & by a copper. I think if you're on a 12acre block with neighbours on top of you you'd be asked to stop. ;)
It doesn't have to be 40 acres up here according to the saftey course we did & a copper we were talking too. Just has to be safe. Have been over the legislation a few times & they don't put a size on it. A few in the industry have told me the 40 acre is one of those old wives tales that gets passed on without factchecking up here. Not sure about NSW leg though.
Awesome Rob thanks👍
Used to live in Bundaberg, it was a nice place. I was only a teenager though so no adult insight for you
B will need to go there for work but other than that, we won't be spending much time there. Hope to buy a bit further south between Gympie & Maryborough if we can.
Cheers Thomas.
Congratulations! My dream is to buy a farm as well.
Never thought we would either until B gave me a kick up the rear.
@Rob Bob's Aquaponics & Backyard Farm If I had cash on hand, I'd be signing on a 20-acre plot today... it's a beautiful little area out in the desert that I could start converting to a food oasis. Unfortunately, they want $80,000 cash, I don't even have a 10th of that on hand. Lol
We're looking at a minimum of AU$500,000/US$331,000 for a 10-40acre usable block of land. Not as challenging as what you'd have to work with though.
God Speed ❤
Thanks BP.
are these areas you looking for is tropical climate? how are you going to manage postal delivery and sending stuff to outside?
Subtropical climate & all within an hour of a major centre so postage isn't a big issue like the properties in PT2 which is tonight's video. 👍
The 2 properties we looked at yesterday ( next weeks video) had bin collection as well & were about 40 min out of a major centre. 😁
Cheers realvipul.
Make sure you are You are familiar with giant rats tail. Make sure you look it up and study what’s required to control particularly in the Bundaberg area.
Giant Rats Tail was one of the first thing Rhys told us about & he gave us a few control tips as well.
Cheers mate.
@@RobsAquaponics Hi Rob, it’s good that you’re agent is inform you, re Giant Rats Tail Grasses, you have chosen a good area Bundaberg, Childers, and GinGin. GRT is through out all the above areas I would be very surprised if there were any properties totally free off GRT and very weary of anyone claiming otherwise I would also be inquisitive about property that are full paddock un-grazed or destocked regardless of reason given and the same for we’ll maintain paddock/Property (slashed or mowed or burned) GRT is hard to identify at this time of year as it drops a lot of it seed now.
I wish you and family the best for your endeavour
PS. to control tips (Be extremely cautious of CONTROL TIPS I very much doubt ANYONE really understands GRT)
Cheers

😁👍
28! Here in the states the women in my family don’t get any older than 27! Haha
🤣🤣 B had a good chuckle at that.
Cheers mate.
Toilet and power are ridiculous requirements, banks are soo far behind, what about composting toilets / septic systems, reed beds, and power = solar, 240 volt and 12 volt . 12 volt for lights. and a wood fireplace outside bbq wood for back-up cooking. we have often cooked on our gas bbq in a blackout ( what Americans call a brownout ).
I'm not 100% sure as to their reasoning but will make a point of asking at our next meeting Shane. 👍
Don't underestimate medical facilities! Being close to them or public transport (rail/bus) to them is a must when getting older! There is no real substantial medical facilities especially Heart based beyond Sunshine Coast, the likes of Bundaberg/Gympie etc. just don't have the capacity in many respects sadly. I bought a little further north and my predicament a few years ago was glad I didn't buy too far away from there (still a nuisance but better then say Gin Gin/Childers). From my experience its worth looking at a lot of places don't listen too much to the sales guy they're there for commissions (talk to the locals in feed shop owners etc.). Also Lantana, Giant Rats Tail grass and a million other weeds are everywhere they're a common place and impossible to eradicate these days - councils have given up on Lantana now. Be wary of needing a way to sell a lot of properties in more remote areas are very difficult to sell. Could say Covid was a god send for lot of people trying to sell in the bush with city folk trying to get away from congestion but all that's changing again as the economy is faltering. NBN is good and now Starlink is available which is great and some jobs can be remote usually white collar ones. Also on the glamping front make sure the council is into it, some councils it takes forever to get approvals Tim Thompson talked about it ua-cam.com/video/InJ8n4cus1o/v-deo.html also Water, Water, Water 20KL isn't a lot of water I see many water trucks moving up and down the road in the dry season as small little properties only have 1 or 2 - 5000G tanks. Seen some on Facebook show off with their single galaxy 100KL tanks but I always prefer the security of multiple tanks - if you get a leak or leave a tap on it can only drain one tank the others are closed off and full and you balance them out manually with your water grid approach (you can never have enough water!).
Cheers for that RW. We have been working on a checklist now of stuff we require after something that happened on the property we last checked out last weekend. Nothing real bad, just something we didn't think about distance wise beforehand. I run through it in this weeks video if you're interested.
What area did you end up buying in if you don't mind me asking?
BTW, I'm subbed to Tim & saw that one, thanks mate. 👍
@@RobsAquaponics Around the Gympie area. Though I did this back 20+yrs ago. The other aspect of location is close access to shops and services (Electricians, Plumbers and Diesel Mechanics etc).
