The only reason this run is a double black is because there are some sparse trees and its an east coast resort. anywhere else this run is a blue or at most a black. Still the conditions look gorgeous and it looks like a blast!

You're probably not wrong, haha : D. But also let's not forget about all the stumps and logs hidden in the snow. It would be nice to have some base under the east coast powder for once, but I think that is a tall order... :D

It’s not just a double bc it’s on the east. Lots of east coast resorts are really tricky. Okemo sticks out like a sore thumb. I’ll admit this is a blue or black

@@caydenmongolo401 Mmmm... yeah! Not just East Coast, but Okemo itself is not known for a whole lot of technical terrain. It's fun mountain, but its 'double blacks' are seriously short and ending with flats... The magic is in the falling snow here. 🤣

@@caydenmongolo401 it's hard to gauge I've got pics on doubles at breck that were very much doubles but don't look it at all in the pic. i think it has to do with the angle of the camera since you're looking down hill. This looks easy for a double but it's hard to say for sure without seeing it in person.

@@blackdog258 True. We did a short video on another run in Okemo - the "outrage" - which has decent slope to it. But when I saw it on video, it was disappointing to see... :) Just gotta go and enjoy it in person, i guess. :)

... perhaps not as much about the steepness, but what is hiding under the snow. You are navigating logs, stumps, rocks, ice... that are sorta sticking out with deceitful cover over it... it often get exposed as you ski over it. Fun little trail.
