On my '98 Windstar, I could bang on the tank to start the pump, or stop it! Yep, I replaced that one!
You could have got more time if you just carried a hammer with you ;)

Where is the fuel pump fuse? I cant get power to my brand new fuel pump
Fuel pump fuse should be in the fuse box.
