I've had my cnc for a little less then a year, and haven't done hardly any 3D carving. I have a customer who wants a plaque that has a cabin with a tree behind it carved into a oval shaped dish. It also need to have Welcome to our cabin carved into it.This video was a great help in learning how to set that up. Thank you very much for taking the time to make these very informative videos.
ti ringrazio molto, con i tuoi video dove fondi con sapienza teoria e pratica,mi hai permesso di accedere al mondo cnc e di fare grandi progressi. grazie e ,per favore, continua ugo romanelli
Mark, as a retired engineer and 1st time CNC router owner (Next Wave HD510) I am thankful to find your videos! Just the right pace, level of detail and topic list. I have gone from total novice to producing my first 2 projects with 95% success in 1 week. Nice. Is there a way I can send you a question and pic? Facebook perhaps? Thanks again. Peter
Still new at this cnc stuff , and just discovered your excellent channel, can I ask a simple question, when you added the Celtic knot to the project would it automatically lower the other components below the surface plane ? Thank you 👍
During the Q & A later today can you run through the various cutting tools to be used in executing this design and how to set their order of operation.
Excellent, as always, Mark. I assume that the order of the carving is important since if the flower were carved first, there would not be material to form the celtic cross, correct?
Thank you very much! Thanks for reminding me I failed to address this in the video. I'll mention it in the Live Q&A. Once the models are in place and you're ready to calculate toolpaths, you just do a 3D roughing and finishing toolpath, and the software calculates the whole thing, with all the models in place. There are no special carving orders or anything - it's all calculated as you see it in the 3D view.
Thanks again for sharing, Ive learned alot already from watching your videos, Aspire is a very clever tool, and not difficult to understand with your tutorials. Thanks again, regarding a cnc im looking and very tempted to go for a I2R 6 UCCNC, any views on this machine? Cheers again.
Thank you very much, Wayne. The I2R brand is new to me, so I can't give you any thoughts other than to say it looks pretty decent. I'd search around for reviews and see what folks are saying about them, and look to see if they have a Support Forum for folks to join and share their tips, tricks, and troubleshooting experiences and solutions. I find that after purchase support from the company and their customers is a big part of owning a CNC.
As you've probably seen by now, I demonstrated 3 of the 5 modes - that's why I added the text correction. Half way through the recording, I decided that I would be confusing matters if I showed the Low combine mode in this video. I'll demonstrate it when I do a video on the Multiply mode. Besides, the video was getting pretty long as it was, and adding the Low mode would have added another 10 minutes at the minimum.

Thanks Mark, I needed that!!!

I can try. To be honest, I just kind of pulled the design out of thin air. I'll try to remember what all I did and see if I can make it happen again.

I knew that. :-) I certainly should have, anyway. Tks much.

You said you were going to show 4 of the 5 combine modes available.. The wording comes up and says 3 of the five.. so which is it.. :)
