After spending considerable time learning this process I finally got it up and running to find that I had bee inactivated - I got that reinstated to find that I have now been suspended - Mailchimp took over 5 days to respond only to tell me that I should seek out another vendor with no explanation other than I suspect that Mailchimp do not allow 'Affiliates" - Mailchimp -= giant inefficient waste of time - am now using GetResponse and so far yippee they do respond immediately and I believe they do allow 'affiliates'

After reading their TOS it says, yes and no, about allowing affiliates on their platform.. (mailchimp)
If you are spamming.. Then no, that affiliate is not allowed on the platform, and will result in immediate termination without explanation.
If you are however, delivering more value than just promoting links, that affiliate is welcome.
Not being a smartass, but ive successfully collected emails with zero problems, so I had to go see for myself, if affiliate marketing was, in deed, not allowed.. You should be okay to use this strategy that Brian is teaching here in this video. Honestly, I think this route is the only one to take, if you are broke, and want to become successful.
Play the long game. And win. You'll end up having to anyway, so don't mess around for 9 months, like me, and regret every single one of those days I wasn't collecting emails. Stupid. Build a list. Remember, a small list is better than.. no list at all. Play the long game.

Why so many people say that mailchimp is not good anymore??? as i saw from the pricing and what it offers, is maybe the cheaper and you have unlimited subscribers and emails... so why do they recoment klaviyo instead??

I dont see an option to add that second email with a delayed trigger... maybe they removed that feature? Or is there a whole another section where we can still do that, the followup email after like 3-4 days of their downloading the PDF?

Do you have an updated version of this? I did the landing page and when on the email section it does not let me add another email
mailchimp has changed the automation to a paid service. The automation is available in the standard package which is no longer free.

This seems really helpful, but I have a slightly complicated question that I would really appreciate some help with.
I want to make a video series about singing harmony to different songs, and I'd like to allow my viewers to download the backing track for each song in exchange for an email. So, let's say someone watches a video with "Song A" and they click the link and sign up; obviously, I want to send them the backing track for "Song A". But then, say someone else watches a different video with "Song B"... How do I set it up so that when they sign up, they get the backing track for "Song B"?
So, basically, each video has it's own unique gift, rather than one gift that I have available through several videos. Do I need to make multiple landing pages? Or multiple lists? Is this even possible?

I use ClickFunnels and drip (getdrip.com) so what i would do is first create the template for the email capture page in ClickFunnels. It's easy to copy them, edit them (like changing the Name of the song) and placing them on their own unique url's. Then I would integrate each one with a different campaign that was set up to deliver an automated email with the specific download link. Then I would link the appropriate landing/lead capture page in each video. I know that's not specific to MailChimp but hopefully this gives you some insight.

Hi Brian, thanks for your help. I have a question: when you are creating your automated email, you have selected "welcome new subscribers", can you selected just the audience who have reply by your landing page?
Yes, you can set automation to start when someone opts in. If they are already on your list they won’t get the email.

Not super familiar with MailChimp. Maybe there is something like “trigger for each submission” or something. Sorry, I don’t really know.

This is way more complex than this vid.explains - I have spent literally hours on this to find that 1st Mailchimp 'deactivated' my A/C due to 'inactivity' - I only had he A/C open for 5 hours from initial setup - 2nd I have now been deactivated for violating their policy - I'm fairly persistent but shit this is about 10 hours worth Grrrrrrrrrrr -
Guys please be careful. I just wasted a lot of time on building this but as soon as I finished my page, I got suspended by mail chimp. I don’t know if that’s just me or someone else is having this problem as well, if that would be the case, please let me know🙏
