In the denouement while Mr Ustinov's Poirot is explaining how the murders were committed and the camera coverage is wide with the suspects in the background, I watched Ms Davis thinking, well you don't really have to do anything since the focus is on Poirot and the solution to the mystery. But every bit the professional she was, Ms Davis' face registered subtle reactions to every revelation. She was still very much in character - such a treat to behold.
When this movie came out, I think Bette Davis's name as one of the cast, Drew the crowds. It was selling out where I live. Much of whole cast were already box office names. Such a great movie.
Bette hated working on location. She stated that in the old days, the studio would have built you the nile !
Bette was never old. Just antique. One never could afford her.
Wow Dame Maggie Smith pulling hard Bette Davis and Ms Davis is all method and professional! Bravo ladies!
Maggie and Bette should have worked together more they are brilliant :)

This pairing was genius. The casting director definitely deserved a raise.
What a treat to see these two women together. Bette knew the value of a good script and a good director. I'm happy she was able to do this picture.
Well, I guess Lois Chiles doesn't get any mention. She must have been an Egyptian mirage.
Maggie Smith always gets the last word 😂👍
Bette and Maggie sound an old comedy team! Gold!
