on project settings you tick "advanced options" and make sure the graphical settings are cranked to the max, if your graphics card cries, you are not worthy for the showcase then
@@likestech1873 Holy shit why are you all so defensive, its not a rip on Godot its just stating the facts. I like Godot but it has a ton of flaws and especially on performance its lacking. Id like to see it improve
I still don't think Godot is particularly suited to high fidelity 3d art styles. But I don't think we need to demand Unreal level graphics from a free and open source game engine. Most importantly Godot is lightweight, friendly, and a joy to work in.
Personally, I think we should, as long as it's in a constructive manner. Projects like these serve to demonstrate the graphical capabilities of the engine and to test the strain and workload a big project can exert on it. One of the major issues I have right now is that there are no official sample scenes that Devs can see.
you failed to showcase the actual graphical capabilities because you forgot one major thing, ANTI-ALIASING, tune that setting to the max and it will stop these weird jittery lines, then remake this video!
Both. However, lately, as you can see, I'm focusing more on gamedev, since the interest in Flutter in my videos was very poor, keep in mind that producing videos takes many hours of work (a simple 5 min video takes at least 6 hours, while a complex 20 minute tutorial can take between 15-20 hours). Therefore, if I consider that the value I provide is low, I consider changing the topic to try to be more relevant. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!
Unity and Unreal are far superior to Godot in terms of speed and optimization (in 3D). All demos that are on the Internet for the 4th version of Godot will only run on average or higher-class systems, while on Unity or Unreal everything will work even on weak systems. So Godot is still very far from the point where 3D games with high-quality graphics will work well.
If stride renders godot obselete, then why is it not taken over godot. unless godot does something to anger the community then stride will have to get better and noticed
@@ltecheroffical Oh gee, i dunno. Maybe cause people are stupid and lazy and thats why we cant have nice things. Maybe the community should step up their game instead huh.
To be frank, the Switch wouldn't run this and the graphics shown in this video (lacking anti aliasing for no reason but turn that feature off in your games, see how they look) surpass Fortnite in terms of complexity.
ALSO MAKE sure the game is running at 60fps and the recording at 60fps!!!

For godot, physics is harder so that's why it runs well. Also that's not even a game anymore. Change the light color and it's basically real life.
please also make sure your game is running fullscreen at an acceptable resolution for a showcase such as FHD and above
sky system/lighting needs to be updated.
Yes, if I remember correctly I think that the GitHub project had some planned improvements expressed in the form of open issues.
from my testing settings the rendering resolution to 2160p fixes the weird light & reflection jitter
Compared to modern engines it still has a long way to go
Yes, but it's getting closer!
@@TebaremCoding Bro why you so upset, its not even a controversial opinion its objective fact lol
@@TebaremCodingalso not true, Godot has fantastic UI tools that you can use to build software that has nothing to do with games.
What exactly is a "Modern" game engine to you? That was a pretty vague put down.

I unsubscribed lofi-girl after watching this video.
😅
USE SMOOTH CAMERA MOVEMENT instead of mouse :)

Exactly, despite this I believe that Godot is on its way to achieving quite spectacular results for a free and open source engine.

Hey, thanks for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind for future showcases!
are you a flutter developer or game developer
Why cannot be both?

He's a software developer 🗿

For now yes, let's wait a few years. In any case, it's okay because not everyone demands cutting-edge graphics.
Stride is a better version of Godot and renders it obsolete lul.
never heard of it, that's how important stride is, lul. cope, ratio.

That is some PS2 graphics quality. "Fantastic" xD
The PS2 would have liked to have this graphic quality and these lighting effects 😎
