I remember reading a news article at least 50 years ago now; about a man that was bitten by a rattler. He managed to grab the snake and bite it back. The man survived, the snake didn't.
+yourmamaisphat They already said there is no current anti-venom, and besides once eruption begins you can't just "anti" the venom; it's job is done. The only way to cure it would be to restore the blood flow somehow, (like how in Cranked, yes I'm using a movie as an example, he had to keep his blood pumping fast else he would die), which might include, (based on common sense, not facts): Injecting them with something that thins the blood; not sure if it could counter the clots or congealed blood, but thinning it out sounds like something that may or may not work. Chopping off the limb you got bit on to prevent it spreading, (not a very realistic idea as most aren't prone to keeping tools for that on hand when venturing around snakes). Developing an anti-body that people who live around these snakes could take daily. Like a pill that keeps their blood from reacting so strongly to the venom, (something that would need a lot more research before it's made I'm sure).
guess anti venom negates the venoms affect in much the same way your immune system would destroy a virus. rather than magically undoing the damage caused already by the venom. then stem cells can repair you once you stop dying.
A good friends son was bit by a rattlesnake last week. It took 13 vials of anti-venom to stabilize him! Please be so careful as the weather improves as the snakes come out to bask in the sun! Most frightening thing ever, for this family! .pgw/USA
Cassandra Multifandom, I heard one OFW a filipina who serves for 16 years to a Singaporean family, who she killed the back king cobra was roaming around her employer house in the front house yard/garden, she might think that when her employer will return home would bite him, she killed the cobra using broomstick.
This would have been more interesting with a control sample, you blood normally clots outside of the body. 5 ml w/venom and 5 ml w/o venom is what I would have liked to see.
I was bitten by a copperhead on my forearm in the Southeastern US and was given no anti-venom. I think the doctors enjoyed seeing how large my arm would swell in 15 hours. They told me they wouldn't have provided me with the anti-venom unless I had produced the dead snake.
Other than the 14 hours of pain while in the emergency room and having an abstract tic tac toe drawn on my arm to track the progress very little thankfully. I lost the use of the first three fingers which gradually over time returned to almost full function. The index and ring fingers still remain somewhat stiffened.
I didn't realize snakes consciously chose to live near people who specifically cannot afford snake bite treatment(1:40). Man, those snakes are devilishly cunning.
Why do you think the producers chose her to be the host? Because she is a scientific authority? No, because she is personable and photogenic. She attracts viewers.
Snakes are NOT aggressive. They are purely defensive. Consider the size difference between a person and a snake: if something comparatively larger than you were to come at you, you'd be terrified. You'd use any and all means to either escape or to scare off your attacker. But you'd never consider yourself aggressive towards that larger creature, would you?
Rebecca Putman with the exception of anacondas and constrictors. they are mainly non-venomous, but are muscular and reach great lengths. they are aggressive toward larger creatures to prey on them.
I've never seen a bunch of blood ( like all in a bag, I have seen it through cuts and stuff) but maybe that's what happens when a lot of blood is put together in a pack.
It's from the vein, that will be why. In the military, you learn to recognise different shades of blood to determine if it's an arterial wound, vein trauma or flesh wounds. The darker the blood, the more severe the wound usually. There are exceptions but it's usually locational.
There is something about snakes that frightens me. I lived in the Southern United States which is full of snakes. I know we have anti venom in case of a snake bite but can it be obtained and injected before the snake venom begins to take effect!
I have never considered how snake venom kills me because, hopefully, I've never been bitten by a snake and I have never been killed. The latter I am very sure of.
can someone explain "it can kill up to 10 people"......does that mean that from that little bile of venom, it would be enough to give it too 10 people?
Horses or sheep used for antivenom so does this mean that horses and sheep aren't affected? As I've heard horses have died from snake bites so that means that the test subjects will die to get the antivenom. I'm confused

In my country India, Morethan 50,000 people die coz of viper bite. Especially Russell's and saw-scaled viper. Most deaths happen in remote villages. Your video is educational. Thanks !!!
Sorry? What are you? A rock? Tomorrow morning, after taking a squat, turn around and look at it and then ask if you have indeed risen above the rest of the animal kingdom.
in indonesia, theres a singer that performed with cobra snake and they forgot or idk why they didnt tape the snake's mouth.. and YES.. she got bitten by a s cobra and died.. literally. and not just that. her neckale and ring and her accecories got robbed during her death.. OMG
I've heard of this kind of venom before from one of my friends and they said it was some kind of really strong blood thinner, not a really strong blood thickener
Awesome demonstration! I know it's a subtle difference, but it's antivinin, not anti-venom. Almost the equivalent of people ordering espresso and "expresso"
I remember reading a news article at least 50 years ago now; about a man that was bitten by a rattler. He managed to grab the snake and bite it back. The man survived, the snake didn't.
That man is chuck norris
So......................what happens when you pour anti-venom on the mix?
Yeah. I want to see that
+yourmamaisphat

Clotting is not a problem, but I can't think of a cure to destroying red blood cells, except an immediate total transfusion of blood.
Hi
God I could listen to Maddie read a phonebook and be a happy man
+Lennie Godber Right? Instantly subscribed.
I went from 6 to midnight when she said "viscosity"
+Shade Kell I'm with you there
+Shade Kell wow she is so hot
@Kuntor Kunty Don't be crude! Complimenting her beauty is respectful, but that comment would most definitely piss her off. Douchebag.
No ketchup, just sauce..raw sauce
honestly, I just come her to hear Maddie talk. amazing.
A good friends son was bit by a rattlesnake last week. It took 13 vials of anti-venom to stabilize him! Please be so careful as the weather improves as the snakes come out to bask in the sun! Most frightening thing ever, for this family! .pgw/USA
Patricia Walters At times like this I'm glad I live in the UK...
glad i live in singapore since there aint no wild snakes going on around here
Patricia Walters good thing he did not die
Where in America are you? I live in Wyoming and had a couple of run-ins with prairie rattlers last summer.
Cassandra Multifandom, I heard one OFW a filipina who serves for 16 years to a Singaporean family, who she killed the back king cobra was roaming around her employer house in the front house yard/garden, she might think that when her employer will return home would bite him, she killed the cobra using broomstick.

I don't care about the venom, I just love watching her! ;)
her voice is amazing
Her teeth too.
Basically she's very beautiful 🌹
He didn’t take the tourniquet off before he took the needle out.
Instantly fell in love with the voice
She is so sweet
Can someone explain to me on a molecular level what actually causes venom to clot the blood?
It depends on the venom. Some are hemotoxic, some are neurotoxic, some are a combination of both.
Non venomous snakes have a type of venom that acts as an anti coagulant in the area of the bite. Just not dangerous unless bitten into an artery.
Not leaving my house
I can listen to her all day.
How can she not be terrified? 😱
Normal answer: she's brave. Macho answer: Because she already saw my anaconDICK!
Scared of what?
@@Mikhael_bureau Macho answer, a.k.a. "mansplaining"
How lame.
you make 100,000 deaths a year sound so great.
I was bitten by a copperhead on my forearm in the Southeastern US and was given no anti-venom. I think the doctors enjoyed seeing how large my arm would swell in 15 hours. They told me they wouldn't have provided me with the anti-venom unless I had produced the dead snake.
What were the consequences?
Other than the 14 hours of pain while in the emergency room and having an abstract tic tac toe drawn on my arm to track the progress very little thankfully. I lost the use of the first three fingers which gradually over time returned to almost full function. The index and ring fingers still remain somewhat stiffened.
This is how we make blood slime 😂
Whar is blood slime?
She's a beauty!
I didn't realize snakes consciously chose to live near people who specifically cannot afford snake bite treatment(1:40). Man, those snakes are devilishly cunning.
Something about a UK accent explaining snakes just makes it that much sexier
She could easily pass for a vampire - "10ml of fresh blood"
"have you considered how snake venom kills you" oh I don't know why am I here?
When When I read the title I thought. "Are they gonna kill someone"
damn nature you scary!!
ParabellumFox family guy!
ParabellumFox its just nature god created
ParabellumFox ikr
no i'm not
Chemical cocktails, hollow fangs, venom recipes that differ? Amazing how evolution developed all this by chance
How is it 80% of these comments are talking about how sexy she is when that has absolutely nothing to with what the video is about?
Alysis 216 ikr
80℅ here are Men.
Just simply cause shes gorgeous
I literally came here just to see what snake venom does. But I mean give the others a break she's adorable. Like a stuffed animal

Certain snakes are outright aggressive.
Some snakes chase you
SlashNetworksAqw That would be the mambas.
Take care and God bless.
Rebecca Putman not true. Some are aggressive. Quite a few are docile. Not every venomous snake will release venom when they bite.
Is it just me or does her blood look really dark
I've never seen a bunch of blood ( like all in a bag, I have seen it through cuts and stuff) but maybe that's what happens when a lot of blood is put together in a pack.

Slippy Nips what books to read to learn more
yeah i thoght that too
random-stuff blood is much darker until it touches oxygen
*Blood is so beautiful*
This woman is incredible! A perfect 10
+JG LM staap saying why! Lol 😂..... Why?
rbdhfvr
She's always saying "He's kindly agreed to... " This episode is " He has kindly agreed to DTAW SOME OF MY BLOOD"
I'm sorry, but snakes creep me out and I just don't understand why I'm watching this.
Kindly agreed to draw some of my blood. Vampire alert
There is something about snakes that frightens me. I lived in the Southern United States which is full of snakes. I know we have anti venom in case of a snake bite but can it be obtained and injected before the snake venom begins to take effect!
There something about snakes that intrigue me. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we don’t have a lot of snake variety
Is it really a venomous snake documentary without an Australian narrating?
I have never considered how snake venom kills me because, hopefully, I've never been bitten by a snake and I have never been killed. The latter I am very sure of.
How spitting venom vented by cobra is detrimental to the human ?? If it not diluted into veins and any tissues ??
You should add Russel's viper
can someone explain "it can kill up to 10 people"......does that mean that from that little bile of venom, it would be enough to give it too 10 people?
Didn't inject it? 1/10 + 5 for being gorgeous + 4 for the accent, 10/10. You redeemed yourself.
Well you don't want your dinner disappearing.....
The scariest part of this video? The needle in her arm.
If you haven’t noticed I have a fear of needles.
Horses or sheep used for antivenom so does this mean that horses and sheep aren't affected? As I've heard horses have died from snake bites so that means that the test subjects will die to get the antivenom. I'm confused
This is how vampires make their Jellys😂
(I'm sorry)
The first part of this video scarred me for life, just a bit
Her name is Maddie Moate
She cute tho

Follow up video: how does snake's body produce venom? And can a snake innoculate itself or others of the same species?
I'm getting thirsty... I want blood...
Crazy Demon Girl I only drink...blood.
Bullwinklejmoos finally I'm not alone! XD
Hello to the other needlephobes who had to scroll down when the blood was withdrawn!
Well hello my fellow friend
i'm a alien hi
i read it with the song of hello from the otherside :P
She almost modulates her voice to make it more scary !
Love the vid and her accent. Fascinating! Thanks
In my country India, Morethan 50,000 people die coz of viper bite. Especially Russell's and saw-scaled viper. Most deaths happen in remote villages. Your video is educational. Thanks !!!
Which type of necrosis the snake venoms caused in human muscle? Thank you
Australian snake venom does not travel through the bloodstream instead it travels through the lymphatic system
Your beauty is more venomous than snake's venom
"In large animals like us...." did I get it right!?! We are large but I don't think that makes us animals.
Sorry? What are you? A rock? Tomorrow morning, after taking a squat, turn around and look at it and then ask if you have indeed risen above the rest of the animal kingdom.

I know the difference between poisons and venoms, but can a venom act like a poison and vice versa?
Venom MUST be injected into the bloodstream to cause a serious effect. Poison however just has to be absorbed into the body in any way
+Does It Right Son Do long as you don't have any ulcers or cuts.
Jacob Thomson yup
F.B. Jeffers0n pouson kulss for sure, venom might not. Bees have venom. Wont always kill.
Hello what happens if you Poison blood. Then put the anti venom ?? Can you try please .
She looks so happy while telling how one can die. 😑😕
I could not stop seeing her teeth .
This is disturbing
is it true that you can kinda counteract it by using rat poison, which is a blood thinner
She just violated me with her voice
THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T BULLY PEOPLE WITHOUT ARMS OR LEGS.
My God... She was beautiful. Who is that gorgeous British lady?
wow that was very interesting, I had no idea before this video how many snake bite deaths occured to humans each year from snake bites
The video is not kinda medical... Cus the way you put the blood in the tube could also cause the rbcs to lyse
Needles scare me but they don’t hurt at all
I've heard of this kind of venom before from one of my friends and they said it was some kind of really strong blood thinner, not a really strong blood thickener
Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC). Initially it causes hypercoagulability, followed by bleeding from everywhere.
I love coyote Pearson and maddie SO MUCH
Yes that would suck.
The blood looks very dark... Very nice n usefulvideo
What would happend if you put the blood back inside you?
I was bitten bypuff adder, swollen to left shoulder now, what should I do,help
Great...Thanks for experiment
Creepy how she handles the blood
Tell me your secret about not freaking out or being scared when some one is taking your blood or just getting a shot
True they would
I like her facial expression when she says "Thicken".....And also, what a cutie.
what happens if you pour anti-venom to the mix??
This is such a vampire tease vid 😂
i just had a dream about a snake biting me and this was recommended help
Answer to question in title:
IT DEPENDS ON THE SNAKE!!
Doesn't make sence, blood always reacts like that when out of human body, I've people on accidents their blood looked exactly like that
She is so cute
She's got a great voice
What is the name she..🤔❤️ ?
That’s my venom she’s holding
I thought you were injecting the venom in your arm
I thought this was common knowledge, but still really cool to see it in action
in larger animals like us. what did she mean?
Its not how crazy she is of what scares me right now... ITS THE NEEDLE AHHH
My fingers feel unstable and weak.
Bad form, he left the tourniquet on...
Awesome demonstration! I know it's a subtle difference, but it's antivinin, not anti-venom. Almost the equivalent of people ordering espresso and "expresso"
