This is some awesome old school sounding stuff and this came out in 2020! I would have bought this back in the day, but it probably didn't sell when this came out.
@lindacorbin5948 Also "Reasons", "Take A Little Trip" and "Memory Lane." She also did a duet with Jose Feliciano on "Light My Fire". Minnie Riperton was one of a kind!
You just reminded me of another new artist you should check out from the Latin soul community - Pepe Marquez. His "Ol' School Medley" and covers of William DeVaughn's "Be Thankful For What You Got", Eddie Floyd's "I've Never Found A Girl", The Temptations' "I Want A Love I Can See" and "Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose's "Too Late to Turn Back Now" are defintely worth a listen!
Brotha D, I never heard of this group. This song is very smooth. I could definitely vibe out to this. The lyrics are nice. Yes I agree,a beautiful song. Enjoyed the instruments. ❤
BrothaD What I love about this new soul or what is called Retro soul. Is it takes it's sound and pays Homage to that rare and collectable soul music. Not so much Motown, but for the most part artist and groups that get very little to no recognition at all An example is this song I hear echos of New world beautiful By Donald Jenkins A fantastic record. Not many people know of and not many know of the artist ✌️
Check out a young jazz singer, Samara Joy, who won a Best New Artist Grammy in 2023. She sounds like a combination of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn. She has quite a few live performances. 'Can't Get Out Of This Mood' from the 2023 Grammys is excellent.
@@vanessaseymour2634 I've heard of her! Classy young lady.....seen her excitement about the Grammys but didn't hear her music ...Thanx for reminding me! ❤️
Nice...Brotha D, I haven't heard of this San Diego band, but I'll be adding them to my playlist. I agree you shld ck out Duran Jones & The Indications rabbit hole, starting w/"Cruisin to the park"(official video)...such a cool jam and video. Also..The Sinseers (feat. Joey Quinones)-"What's his name" -live at the recordium. ✌🌼
Yeah the Duran Jones band members are Super Talents...with a discography of jams. I absolutely love their "Private Space" album ~ "Love will work it out" hit. They replicated that 1970's r&b soul sound to a tee 👍🏼
