Thanks a lot for your videos. I am a french IFR pilot retired and still flying on computer, passion is passion... I'm on P3D and wait anxiously for this Airbus FsLabs bird ! A pleasure to watch your tutos.
Hi Jean. Thank you very much. Well ,we share the passion flying our PC :-). I am also waiting for the P3D version. Hopefully it will bring better performance. Regards
Thank you, learning a lot here. Although flying an Aerosoft-Airbus at the moment I am exercising with your guidance very intensive. Cannot wait for further videos. In the mean time I watch your existing videos again and again. Special comment: Watching a lot of FSX videos here on UA-cam in the past, I realize a big different from yours to most I have seen. Your comments are clear and fluently and your "camera" is acting smoothly. That means: No hysteric comments, no constant shivering in the camera angle. Great work, very professional, cinema quality. This is exactly what I was searching for over years, because most of my science of flying an airbus in simulation depends on reading comments in the internet or studying books.(at the moment the brand new one "You have control - Airbus series 318/319/320/321 Vol.1" in German language). Now it is more practically and solves a few mysteries to me.
Hello FS-Ikarus. Thank you very much for your kind words! I will do my best to keep my style in future videos. If there are any other topics you would like me to cover, please let me know. Happy landings!
Thanks for your reply. Another topic I would enjoy is the enroute-change from the programmed destination to the alternate Airport which I typed in the MCDU before start (without having programmed an alternate flightplan).
Great stuff. Watched every video without comment so far but have to say it's been incredible learning from you. Thanks alot for your efforts! keep it up :)
I've done some flights at stapleford and always have a good look at the LAM VOR on takeoff on my little cessna :) Great video(s)! by the way! Really helpful
Another excellent and very informative video thank you. I've promoted your channel on BA Virtual so you should be getting a lot of views from our members. As an idea for a future video could you please demonstrate the use of TRK/FPA? Keep them coming!
Hi Rob. Thank you for your kind words and for promoting my channel! I am going to release a video soon on how to fly an VOR/NDB Approach. There I will talk about using the TRK/FPA function. Regards
Really great insight into the procedures of flying the A320, thank you for the videos. A new fan here! How close to the real thing is FSlabs in your opinion?
Hi djvectrex. Thank you for your kind words! Well, it is fairly close to the real airbus. I find myself pretty deeply immersed at times. The sounds, feel and system behavior makes this so much fun for me. And just to make it clear, I was not involved in any part of the development or testing and I don't get any incentives for saying this :-). Regards
That's great to hear! Student pilot here and I've enjoyed simming for many years and always nice to get confirmation of real behavior of a sim from someone who's flown the real thing! Are you still flying the real one?
Great video, quick question.....are there rules on how to descend in a hold given there may be aircraft above and below and you want to maintain vertical separation?
Thanks for very informative video series. Despite the fact that I am PSX flier, after watching your series, I am contemplating the with the idea of getting into Airbus land. ;)
Hi Mike. Thank you. There is a T.O. and LDG Inhibit function. The FWC (Flight Warning Computer) inhibits certain non critical warnings and cautions during the takeoff phase (from 1st engine at Takeoff Power to 1500 ft AGL) and landing phase (800 ft AGL down to after touchdown reaching 80 kts GS). This is to avoid alerting the pilots unnecessarily at times of high workloads. Regards.
From 2:36 on you can see the CPT ND showing TA ONLY, but the FO ND shows TA ONLY + GPS Primary. Is the dual channel operation of the FMGC's lost ? I thoght under normal operation both ND's would always show the same Info.
Hi. I guess the FO ND shows GPS Primary because I never cleared that message in the FO MCDU. So it has nothing to do with the dual channel operation of the two FMGC's. The TA ONLY is selected automatically by the TCAS System. I don't think it should come on that soon in the approach. Probably a mistake in the simulation. Regards
Thankyou,Blackbox for all these instructional video's, I haven't got this aircraft yet as I'm waiting for the P3D version. One question, I have noticed you add a remark 'No blue' can you explain what this refers to please.
Hi David. There is a T.O. and a Landing Checklist on the Engine/Warning Display. As long as there are open items (Flaps or Gear etc.) there will be a blue remark/text next to this item. So once every items are completed, there will be "No Blue" remaining on the checklist. That is why there is the Callout "T.O - No Blue" or "Landing - No Blue". Regards
thank you very much for this great video! helps a lot as a newcomer :-) I have one question: which plugin for ATC you use? is this also available for offline flights, at the moment, I wanna fly offline but doesnt want to miss the reality feeling of an ATC.
Hi luke. I presently don't use any ATC plugin. I made the instructions myself to make the flight somewhat more realistic. I will have a look at different plugins to see what makes sense to use in FSX. Regards
Hello, great video. Slightly off topic question.. How do I get the A320X WX working in FSX? Will it show returns with the default FSX weather engine? Or do I need to download a 3rd party app/plug-in? Cheers.
I remember once flying into Amsterdam from Sweden with low cloud. Looking out of the window to see a flock of starlings flying above the cloud! Thinking that was strange I then spotted a tower sticking up! That was low cloud! The pilot made a perfect landing - I think it was the pilot?
I'd like to say the way you disconnect AP is wrong. The default key for disconnect autopilot is "Z", double click it means double click the priority button which is the red one on sidestick. You can assign it to your joystick. Good video.
Hi. Thank you! That is a difficult question to answer. It depends on what you want to get out of the simulation. The 737 and A320 have very different design concepts. If you prefer to just fly and not worry too much about how the systems really work the 737 is a very nice aircraft to fly. If you love computers and like to know how everything works and interacts in an aircraft, then the FLSabs A320 will not dissapoint you. Regards
On landing with auto approach activated, what ft/min does the A320 try and achieve. I realise a firm landing is called for. Does it ever exceed 500 f/min

recently started watching these again. out of nostalgia and also to relearn some things. got to say youre a pretty good teacher!

By far the best and most informative channel regarding the A320 out there so far. Kudos to your efforts and keep going! :)
Hi Hendrik. You are too kind! Thank you! I will continue since it is alot of fun. Regards
Thank you so much for these videos...
I am an airline pilot doing the 320 Type rating, and let me tell you, you're video are great help !
Thank you, very happy to hear that. You will probably find some SOP differences, but I am sure you are aware of that.
@@Blackbox711 of course , this is just to give me a nice and simple general overview!
Thanks for the videos! Really helps me learn how to fly this mighty bus.
Hi TRC. Thank you, I am glad I can help! Regards
Great stuff. Watched every video without comment so far but have to say it's been incredible learning from you. Thanks alot for your efforts! keep it up :)
Requested topics from me if/when you can would be....MLS approaches, cold/winter ops including engine starts etc.
Hi daveygurm. Thank you very much for the kind words! I will post more videos :-)
Not sure if this simulator supports MLS approaches. I'll have to check on that. I'll put winter ops on my list. Regards
superbe. Merci pour toutes ces explications. Tres belle video.
Hi mate, great videos! Keep up the good work ;) Just a small remark about the go-around altitude at GS* ;) Happy flying!
Hello Seb. Thank you. Well spotted, I did forget to set the GA-Altitude of 3000 ft. Regards
That's why we got 2 crew on board ;) Cheers
I've done some flights at stapleford and always have a good look at the LAM VOR on takeoff on my little cessna :)
Great video(s)! by the way! Really helpful
Thank you. I am glad you like these videos.
Another great video, I've got to go and try the scenario, doing it properly.
Hey Malcom. Hope you enjoy it!
Brilliant, but how did you find that weather Blacky? Was it 'Historic wx within Active Sky?
Very informative, you are a good man, many thanks for all the videos. Keep them coming.
Thank you very much!
really great, thanks for making these!
Hi ExPatAviator. Thank you very much! Regards
10 on 10. 👌🏽 Great for aspiring airbus pilots.
Hi Akshay. You are to kind, thank you! Happy landings..

Hello alippay2. Thank you. What can I say, the FSLabs A320 is increadibly close to the real thing.Regards
Wow! I'm glad I was not on that flight. . . . .Brilliant as ever.
Hi Ken. Thank you! If you think flying at 100 m visibility in this PC-Simulator is impressive you should try it in real life ;-)
Good Job !
Another fantastic video, thank you. One question, what does the megenta "LDG Inhibit" signify?
Hi Mike. Thank you. There is a T.O. and LDG Inhibit function. Ah, thank you, that's bugged me for ages...;-)
Same here! Now I have an answer...
Again, amazing video Blackbox711, thank you very much!

Hi Paco. Well, thank you for watching and enjoying it! It means alot to me! Regards
While seeing this, i can't wait for the next update for the Jar A320 with a new cockpit model 😭
thank you very much for this great video! helps a lot as a newcomer :-)

+damien knight .. thank you. Yes, unfortunately you will need an addon like Active Sky or REX.
hey blackbox could you tell how to install the livery on the PMDG 777
I would greatly appreciate it
I remember once flying into Amsterdam from Sweden with low cloud. Looking out of the window to see a flock of starlings flying above the cloud! Thinking that was strange I then spotted a tower sticking up! That was low cloud! The pilot made a perfect landing - I think it was the pilot?
Hi Ken. Low level fog looks really pretty! I always enjoyed that.
Great job :) !
Hi Raducu. Thank you very much!
Hallo BB.
What means " TA only " in the ND ?
+Horst Wendling ... Hi. That means "Traffic Advisory only". So there will be no Resolution Advisory whenever that message is displayed. Regards
Its a shame virgin didn't decide to continue using the A320s :(
I'd like to say the way you disconnect AP is wrong. The default key for disconnect autopilot is "Z", double click it means double click the priority button which is the red one on sidestick. You can assign it to your joystick. Good video.
Hi. True, I need to program my flightstick. Thank you. Regards
Thank you, I am learning from you..
Hi Jaydor. Glad I can help! Happy landings...
Be interested in your source of knowledge about the Airbus. Thanks
He had a type rating.
Hi Andy. I collected about 3000 hrs PIC on the A320. Regards
with pmdg 737, which one i should buy, i just can buy one of those, btw great video

yeah ok thks for reply
Kann ich fragen, ob du im Moment aktiv fliegst, oder bist du vielleicht auf medizinischen Gruenden grounded?
Hi Ilari. Fliege momentan nur noch den PC. Mehr möchte ich nicht verraten. VG
Hi, what do you use to record?
Hello. I have a elgato game card and hence use the Game Capture HD software. Regards
On landing with auto approach activated, what ft/min does the A320 try and achieve. I realise a firm landing is called for. Does it ever exceed 500 f/min
Hi. No, 500 ft/min would be am extreme hard landing. I would estimate the touchdown rate to be around 150 ft/min.
5 stars
Thank you very much!
