After finding a guide who was willing to take us underground for an entire night along as we follow his one rule that we must hide his identity. Throughout the night he tells us stories of how Americans aren't welcome down there & stories of the many people that have been left stranded miles deep into the catacombs... this video now adds to those stories.

there’s a part where you see five lights, one light is ahead of all of them a few feet away just around the corner. Yet all four of them were shown in the frame. Who’s light was that? a ghosts? no way 1:18:15 who’s light is in the corner, it was quite obvious it corey was first, then was elton, then the guy (i can’t remember his name), but behind him was elton’s gf… so how tf is there a bright light

@@wyatrippy I don't think Steve was actually there. He may have left lights behind for them to figure it out on their own, but I am pretty sure that was the point of the question "If I left you here would you be able to find your way back?"
With cramped spaces like that you'd at least see shadows being cast from people, or parts of the body. Plus the light was dead still, like it didn't even wiggle an inch. I've never seen a single mortal soul that can keep a flashlight that steady where it looked almost like a spotlight. Those little crevices and alcoves are much too small for a grown adult to squeeze like that without making some obvious sign. He probably led them to a spot that circles around them and then went back, leaving flashlights and other things behind to help them find their way. I fully believe "Steve" left them, but not totally in the dark. At the beginning of their adventure, he packs a ton of equipment into his bag, which is kinda unusual for someone going into a very cramped environment. At most he'd probably normally only have a few batteries and a spare flashlight. Probably packed quite a few more to indirectly lead them back like a trail of bread crumbs, just in case.

the catacombs are not a joke, I explored the catacombs in 2011 with 2 of my good friends that I still consider my closest friends today, we stayed a total of around 48 hours underground and walked 70-80% of the time, at about the last 5-6 hour mark when we discovered someone who had passed away and had been down there for about no less than 15 days after they died it seemed, it then took us another 5 or so ours to find an exit trying to debrief with one another, this place is very dangerous and you can if not will die if you do not prepare accordingly. That experience still haunts me to this day especially since we didn’t want to report it knowing it would be almost useless and only get us into trouble, I feel guilty but sound knowing it will keep me from putting myself into those circumstances ever again, be safe everyone.

Glad to hear you guys made it out. I think after watching this, I get the feeling that some people like Steve are a part of the rituals down there and probably want to lure people in for the catacombs to claim their victims as a form of sacrifice.

For anyone who doesn't know, Steve never actually left them. At 1:18:15 you can see two lights behind them and a two in front. Steve would be the light thats right around the corner. Also, you can see the light slightly move so its not a static light.

The youtubers "Steve" was talking about was a British youtuber called Nightscape. He also met up with a guide and while deep in the catacombs he and his friend got robbed from their camera gear and got left alone in there. They were lucky that some random person lead them out of there.

As many people have pointed out in other comments you can see a light coming from around the corner at one point after he ditched them where you can clearly see all 4 of them are together so it's hard to believe that they wouldn't notice and make any attempt to try to interact with whoever was holding the light.
Maybe he kept asking them it so he could keep moving them deeper until they could not go back so they would get lost and die.

1:18:15 there’s a light on the floor in front of Corey while everyone else is behind him. Like someone is on the other side of the wall. And everyone is looking in coreys direction so there’s no way no one would’ve seen that light. I think Steve was still there either guiding them out, or was there to help them if they got stuck. Danielle Mardis He would have been able to find his way out. He said he was sleeping in there plus he was in and out of the tunnels about 200 times. So, he is definitely familiar with the area. He also knew quite a bit of history about the catacombs as well.

I was watching a catacomb tour video and a frequenter said that you have to be careful with guides because some guides are actually dwellers of the catacombs and will take people down there just to ditch them and will leave them clues as to how to get out, but won’t return for them. I feel like there’s no way that the first time “Steve” has left someone down there... he says not many people except for his close friends “knows what he does” and if they know they don’t ask questions but like why is it such a big deal that he goes down there that he doesn’t want anyone to know because he’s doing something else down there.. (such as luring people down there and leaving them, etc...)
I guess he doesn't tell many people that he goes down there because it is illegal to do so outside of tour hours and without an official tour guide...

I believe the whole “Steve leaving” thing was staged. They conveniently turn the camera off and then have the idea to “wouldn’t it be crazy for views if the guide left us?”. It’s believable seeing as how many times he was ahead or around corners. The way they say “what the FUCK” so many times sounds like how bad actors who can’t improv just repeat the same like over and over again. It also is the perfect spot to have the guide “dissapear” down a dead end.
What if the whole time the guide was a ghost acting as the guide leading them to nowhere just to get lost and die and the REAL guide is actually still outside waiting for them to show up

If they would have asked to describe them to see if they knew those four UA-camrs, they would have figured out that he was actually talking about actual UA-camrs wh got left behind by their tour, or he was taking about the Tfil guys. I'm claustrophobic. I'd be beyond pissed knowing that we (probably) paid the guide who got us lost and left us there. Definitely NOT a situation I'd want to be in. Especially once all of the flashlights start dying off one by one.
If you ever go here,I want you to take pictures of graffiti or do tape or anything to help you get out if your lost,and make sure you have extra batteries,food,flashlights, and water,NEVER TRUST SOMEONE RANDOM TO GUIDE YOU WHEN THEY SAY TO BLUR HIS/HER/THEMS FACE OF VOICE ... ,also if that person was that casual about everything that happened that could have been a clear warning not to trust him,and you know the reason steve is probably so familiar with it is probably because he has done this to many people and he could have caused people to get lost,tired,dehydrated,and hungry on purpose... bc the text litterly said.
