Who is here in 2020 listening to this dope at Prince track? Prince is the Immortal One and his music shall live forever and stay relevant for all eternity. Prince dopest ever.
Prince on guitar could break anybody with his sizzling licks. True magician on the electric guitar. Kids need to learn the play instruments again and stop washing sounds through computers. Prince was a brilliant musician that could play any instrument and it showed.
Really Jesse Johnson took it to his Ass on the 1999 Tour as did Terry Jimmy Monte Ben Jerome and Morris even Mike Sc ott gave Prince a run For His Money
The song starts with Prince praising a talented woman for being humble, and by the end of he song he wants her so much he is on the verge of commiting a felony. WOW! One of my favorite songs.
The breakdown at around 4:38 is ridiculous! And listening to this track I can't help but wonder if Ready for the World heard this bootleg and said 'That's It!', and repackaged the groove 'Oh Sheila'. Respect and RIP to the Purple One.
It’s an absolute travesty that this groove was deemed ‘offensive’ and left off the 1999 deluxe reissue!! This is one of Prince’s most well known and loved bootlegs. To have this remastered and cleaned up would have been worth the money of the disc alone!!
Call me MONKH! Because there’s a couple of lines near the end where Prince says he’d like to rape you! It’s ridiculous that the song was left off the album for that reason!
@@QuackersAhoy it's not ridiculous, it's reasonable. can you imagine the fuss it would create if this song were on the reissue??? their plan is to reintroduce prince to this new generation, to keep his legacy alive. how do you think kids today would take these lyrics? i love the song but this part..... it's just not acceptable....
@@PurpleRain500 it's obvious that music today approaches subjects as sex and drug use more explicitly than before, but we are talking bout a rape insinuation here.... try promoting a song like this one to our youth now and see how they react.... twitter will get your ass cancelled before you even finish singing it.... being explicit about sex does not mean tolerance to rape...

This was pre-You Tube and Napster was about to be banned. It was tough getting prince bootlegs back then. I got this song and WONDERFUL ASS in the mail.
I haven't heard this in 4 years, not since I was 12. I was obsessed with this man between the ages of 12-13 and used to have this song on my old blackberry aha. Best song PRN has ever done. And he has done so much for music. I hear/see influence every day through the tapestry of his artistry of each generation. EDM especially.
Good lord this song is just perfection isn't it? THIS is the song that hooked me on Prince so many years ago. The quality of this song is just astounding, I mean most artists don't release their demos because they just aren't good, Prince though, the best stuff he held back! Really hope we get to hear this one in all its purple pristine pleasure someday. Shame it wasn't included on 1999 Deluxe. There clearly is a specific lyric in this song that Prince would not approve of being released, and if that is what held it back from inclusion, I think most of us would be OK with that line edited out, as opposed to never having this song at all. The same can be said with Lust U Always, which shares a very similar line, but from a historical record standpoint, both of these should have been on the set and it was a missed opportunity in my humble purple opinion. That being said though, the new 1999 Super Deluxe set looks amazing in every respect, and is well beyond any expectation I could have had for it.
Michael Howe, the archivist, said that he and the Estate feel that Prince is a basically a bad person for writing his lyrics so they prefer to cheat the fans instead of respecting Prince.
