I followed the video step by step. Removal of the air bag and old cruise control switch was flawless. Installation of the new ACC switch and airbag was flawless as well. Excellent video and thank you for all that you do for us!
Got my switch in today. Took an old T handle Allen wrench and grinded a groove into it. Used that to release springs. Took me about 30 minutes total, including using AlphaOBD to integrate it into my system. There is one other step in AlphaOBD that needed to be done on my Ram TRX. Had to enable: P/T Chasis Net: ACC adaptive cruise control.
Thanks for the very informative video. I ordered a valve tool but ended up using a small, longer, flathead to push the springs in. You are correct, they are a pain in the ass lol
Tyler I know a bunch are asking if they can add it to their trucks, they need to pull their build sheets. The keyword to look for is full speed forward collision warning plus. This gives you the mirror camera module and the system to tie in the braking with it. Just ordered the parts for mine after watching your video . I had a loaner Pacifica today and used it for my 120 mile drive home through Baltimore and VA traffic it was night and day vs the drive there. Kind of punchy (also a low power v6) at times but still way better than me getting annoyed with the stop and go. You need to do a tutorial for the clock spring removal. The trx steering wheel frame is surprisingly cheap, swapping that or the rebel gt wheel on to my limited. Thank you again for the content

Hey Tyler. Lee here and I have a 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 with Level 2 Safety Group but no adaptive cruise control. Can I install the new adaptive cruise control as instructed and have adaptive cruise? Thank you for this valuable video and your time.
Non TRX trim trucks require A LOT more parts, switch, ABS module, HCU, and programming as long as they already have the forward facing camera. I personally have not performed the install on a non-TRX. Thanks for the view!
I'm sorry Tyler but if I already have FCW with automatic braking and Parking sensors, will I still need to change the ABS, HCU, switch (which I have already ordered) and programing (which I have already ordered-ALFA OBD and by-pass)...thank you.

Do you think i will run into major issues with any of these ideas? I never considered ACC on the base trucks, is that possible on the Base truck?
I have never tried to add or look into heated seats or steering wheel. The ACC can be added on any level of TRX since they all come with the front camera. Thanks for the view!
tyler, any suggestions on an installer who could do this on my 22 TRX around the West Palm Beach, FLA area? I would love to do this myself but just so busy with work and family that i dont have the time (or the garage)

Any idea if the same install would work on a 2022 ProMaster 3500? 🙏 (it has the Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus and Pedestrian/Cyclist Emergency Braking)
Yes a few guys have added lane sense with a new radio screen and the same programming, I would totally do it but the radio screen is pretty high dollar. Thanks for the view!
The switch is about $50 and the software and connector for programming is a few 100 unless you have a friend with the set up already. Thanks for the view!
No I can't really think how it would void any warranty since it is just a factory part you are adding. This should be the switch part number 68309592AD. Thanks for the view!
No lane keep is added with a new radio screen/center stack bezel to add the button and then programming. I would love to add it but the screen is pretty expensive. Thanks for the view!
Has anyone successfully added to a non-Trx - ie Laramine? I’m willing to change windshield, and add the camera module. Understand maybe I would need to use the abs module from a trx?
I don't think they get the forward facing camera without the technology safety group. Like the TRX's do so it would work the same. Thanks for the view!

www.ram-trx.com/threads/complete-installation-instructions-for-adaptive-cruise-control-acc-for-our-trx.6427/
Do you know if Adaptive Cruise Control is available or can be installed on 2022 Ram 3500 Laramie Dually; I have called the Dealer and they are saying that I can't add it to my truck. I'm not sure if that is correct or that they just don't know enough about this.
Non TRX trim trucks require A LOT more parts, switch, ABS module, HCU, and programming as long as they already have the forward facing camera. I personally have not performed the install on a non-TRX. Thanks for the view!
Any idea if the same install would work on a 2022 ProMaster 3500? 🙏 (it has the Full Speed Forward Collision Warning Plus and Pedestrian/Cyclist Emergency Braking)
I have no clue on a promaster, since they are a Fiat based electrical system they are very different. Thanks for the view!
@@TylerPotter 🙏 thank you - I appreciate the feedback.
U need to get a headband holder for ur go pro or a chest one to be able to se POV
I know I really need to get something. Thanks for the view!
How can I also install LaneSense lane button???
Yes a few guys have added lane sense with a new radio screen and the same programming, I would totally do it but the radio screen is pretty high dollar. Thanks for the view!
So much is the cost of this genius move?
The switch is about $50 and the software and connector for programming is a few 100 unless you have a friend with the set up already. Thanks for the view!
Will this void warranty by any chance?
I can't really see how this would void any warranty. Even the programming with AFLA OBD isn't really tuning it is just turning on a factory option.
will doing this void your Warranty? I have a 2022 do you know if it will work on it? Can't fine the part # though
No I can't really think how it would void any warranty since it is just a factory part you are adding. This should be the switch part number 68309592AD. Thanks for the view!
Does this add lane keep assist functionality
No lane keep is added with a new radio screen/center stack bezel to add the button and then programming. I would love to add it but the screen is pretty expensive. Thanks for the view!
So if we have the heads up display will it show on it?
That is a good question, I don't have HUD so I can't remember it it displays anything for adaptive cruise or not?
Can I do this with my 2020 ram 1500 rebel
You can but non TRX trucks require a lot more parts that are really expensive. Thanks for the view!
Will this work for 2023 ram rebel ?
Unfortunately last time I checked non-TRX trim trucks need additional parts.
Has anyone successfully added to a non-Trx - ie Laramine?
I’m willing to change windshield, and add the camera module.
Understand maybe I would need to use the abs module from a trx?
There are some guys on the ram 5th gen forum that have done the swap on non TRX trucks
Would this work the same on a 2021 challenger?
I don't think they get the forward facing camera without the technology safety group. Like the TRX's do so it would work the same. Thanks for the view!
Any ideas if this works with a ram 1500 limited
A non-TRX will need a new ABS module and HCU to make it work also.
@@TylerPotter sounds like to much work
Would this work on my 23 big horn.
No non TRX trucks need more parts, the abs module and the brake HCU, these parts are really expensive and would be to be programmed unfortunately. Thanks for the view!
Now add a comma3 and really enjoy a long road trip.
I really need to look into it for the truck, I'm not sure if I'll need to have lane keep assist working on the truck 1st or not?
@@TylerPotter oh shoot yes I believe so. I had it on my TRX and now on my Rebel. O n the Rebel I had to add everything as I’d did not have it from the factory. Works amazing.
Now so lane keep install!! :)
I just wish the darn lane keep button wasn't sooo expensive since it only comes with the radio screen. Thanks for the view!
How do we add Lane keep assist?
A TRX owner just recently added that also, you unfortunately have to buy a new radio screen/ bezel with the lane keep button on it. I believe it was around $600 and then program it with Alfa OBD. Thanks for the view!
For to have adaptive cruise control
More parts are needed on the non-TRX trucks. Thanks of the view!
Legend
Thanks for the view!
Where are you located? I will pay for you to do this to my 2022 1500 ram ecodiesel. Message me
I am attempting to do another truck shortly so we may be able to do some more. Thanks for the view!
Does anyone know if this works on 2022 Rams?
The TRX's will work with just the switch and programming but all other trims will need more parts unfortunately. Thanks for the veiw!
@@TylerPotter I've got a Laramie that has the auto breaking and that giant thing under the mirror for wipers and lights. Was hoping I could do this haha.
@@TylerPotter Thank you for the excellent video. I am also interested in adding ACC on a ram promaster that already has forward collision and lane keep assist (but not the ACC steering wheel buttons). Could you tell me what additional parts would be needed?
Como estalas en el espejo
Thanks for the view!
Do you know if adaptive cruise can be added to 2022 yukon denali...
I have no clue on the Denali unfortunately. Thanks for the view!
Does anyone know if this works on 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie?
No unfortunately all non TRX trim trucks will need a lot more parts. The ABS module and brake HCU will need to be replaced. There is a long thread on the 5th gen ram forum talking about everything involved. Thanks for the view!
