I have been wearing this watch every day for the past 7 years, it has been around the world with me. It never even needed a battery change! It's tough as rocks!
Replying this would be the 10th year, how is it holding up? I read on the casio site that it would only last for 3 years, how did you manage to prolong it to that degree?
@@tydshiin5783 It's still going strong on the original battery!! Although the strap keeper cracked a bit. They always put their estimates on the lower side (very conservative) I guess to avoid lawsuits or something. I had 2 casios last over 10 years. All these simple watches with no bluetooth or too many sensors last a long time!!
I have this watch. I wish it was solar. That is the only feature I'd want added. The watch has a great high quality screen and light. The build quality and material are amazing. It is compact in comparison to many G-Shocks and the screen is better in my opinion. The watch just feels better than many Casio watches.
Had to replace mine because the buttons wouldn't work anymore to set it. I did have that watch for many years. I bought 2 watches at Walmart on clearance for less than 30 a piece for me and my dad . I love this watch . I like the large clock numbers and other features
I really like this practical watch. Nothing in others Casio watch family came close, I think.......It had a Big Digit displays compare to the GShock family. It had 200m, great for diving and great price, compare to the Protek family (100m?) It not that bulky that's what I like. It uses a common non-recharge battery. I just change the battery after many years. Previously, I own a GShock Tough Solar so is rechargeable but it also have a shelf life. You need to replace it eventually and then you need to go back to the CASIO for replacement. Cost much more than a simple battery.
Just grabbed one (dark bluish where yours is silver) from Walmart for clearance price. $32 after tax! Never thought I’d wear a Casio since I’ve been wearing citizen watches for 10 years. I got an Amex Platinum deal for $150 credit at Saks so I ordered the $350 g shock gravitymaster red version. Looks sweet! Literally the day after ordering from saks my $550 citizen watch band broke…. I’m guessing 2-4 days or so for the gravitymaster to show up so I went to Walmart and couldn’t pass up this clearance watch. Must’ve been meant to be 😉
Thank you for sharing this watch and your video is excellent you're very smart young man yes is a very very nice watch for out in the field and the lettering is bold and you can make it bigger you can see this watch without wearing glasses thank you so much for such a great video you're my new best friend on UA-cam 👍
Mój leży w plecaku ratunkowym no ale chyba go jednak wyjmę i ponoszę i się z nim przeproszę. Jest średni, czegoś mu brak... nie czuje go ale jeśli innym się podoba to super 👌
I have one and love it so much, but after changing battery for better timing the bleeping has stopped when I push on buttons. Any hints and tips to repair?
Hi. Tehere are 2 posible reasons. First, you loosed the small spring located near the battery wich make the connection to buzzer, or you placed back the back case upsidedown. You can check if you can read the casio mark on back while the Nord is up, than is OK and the spring is loosed.
@@mih02002 Hi, Thanks for that my friend. The bleeping started working again next day on its own, however now the compass button no longer works for some reason and also found the watch is now letting water while showering or bathing. Looks like I need a new watch. Thanks again for your help friend.

@@blackmamba6481 sgw100 is better if you you have a small wrist and want more legibility and functionality The G shock is just tougher but lacks the legibility and ease to use. The g shock is the toughest watch in the world and the sgw100 is already tough enough. If i was gonna get the g shock i would get the version with solar and atomic features. Otherwise id choose the sgw100 any day.
Hey I was wondering, does the compass mode stay on after selection or does he stop after a fiew seconds ? Because I would like to have a watch that can display a compass all the time and just a gadget option that goes off after 5 seconds, thanks a lot and sorry for my poor english
If you want tough solar in watches with similar features to this SGW 100, you should look for the PRG-300 or the PRW 3100. But they are also more expensive.

Dude I got it for Christmas when I was like 8, still have it almost 8 years later, had to replace the strap twice but I still love it.

Nice review!
The background music ruins what is otherwise a good review!
Thank your for the video
Enjoyed your video, but the background music has got to be removed.
You almost didn’t show how the compass and thermometer works. I couldn’t see and you didn’t turn it. That is one of its watches main unique features.
This could be the ultimate hunting watch.

4:48 i wish the Casio G-Shock digiwatches do that.
Thanks for the video. Can you have the temperature and stopwatch on the display at the same time?
You can only mix the time with a function, but not a function with another function such as thermometer and stopwatch.
How do I set time and date
Good review. It’s amazing what this watch can do for the money. In a G shock, it’d be £180 or so! Bargain!
Does this watch have a vibrating alarm function?
It doesn't
@@watchroll3310 thanks for your response 👍
Are you from the Philippines ? I am making a guess based on your saying “here is my time”
Cool
How can it be rated for 200 meters and not be water proof for scuba diving?
One thing is just water testing and an ISO diver certification consist of many other tests other than just water pressure.
I like your channel, but please get ride of that background music/noise. Something more relaxing will do much better. thanks

The compass is temporary. After some seconds it turns off. You have to press the button again to see the compass.

Yes you can disable it. Accuracy is around +5 seconds per month
