    I never liked digital watches for this very reason and have been wearing analog watches all my life. Also they are way more stylish in my humble opinion. I just love my mechanical watches. I am a huge Day/Date & GMT fan myself.

    It's a very appealing watch, although I live inland so the tide function is a waste of screen space here and moonphase is not really useful. Still, I think for many of us, we just have to like it and it looks very good.

  • @Imagine_Trying

    Honestly a lot of this is cope. The reality is that digital watches are easier to read, generally more durable and come with a bunch of complications. Analog watches simply cannot compete in terms of functionality which is why much of the industry has strayed from analog watches as a tool and more as an artistic luxury. At the same time just wear whichever you feel is right for you. Idk why analog guys have to cope so hard about their watches. Your watch is functionally inferior in every metric except how they look. Accept it and just wear what you like and what works best for you instead of trying to disparage digital watches.

    1:22 I would like to correct some points here.. 1. "More difficult to manufacture"- True. 2. "Stronger than steel"- False. It just has a higher strength-to-weight ratio as compared to steel. 3. "More scratch resistant than steel"- False. Stainless steel is harder than Titanium alloys, unless there's a carbide or nitride coating on it. 4. "More corrosion resistant than steel"- True.

    • @watchroll3310
      @watchroll3310 28 днів тому

      When it comes to regular titanium all of the above are true but casio's high intensity titanium is a different story. High intensity Titanium compared to 316 L stainless steel is stronger and supposedly harder. Here is some info: "1. Tensile Strength (Absolute Strength) Grade 5 Titanium: Tensile strength: 900-1,200 MPa. Yield strength: ~800-970 MPa. Steel: Mild Steel: ~400-550 MPa (weaker than titanium). Stainless Steel (e.g., 316): ~500-700 MPa (weaker than titanium). High-Strength Steel (e.g., 4140 alloy, tool steel): Can range from 1,000 to 2,000 MPa (often stronger than Grade 5 titanium)." "Yes, "high-intensity titanium" is generally considered harder than 316 stainless steel; while the hardness of both metals can vary depending on the specific alloy, high-intensity titanium is designed to be significantly harder, often with a hardness level much higher than standard titanium alloys, making it considerably harder than most grades of 316 stainless steel. Key points to remember: High-intensity titanium: This is a special type of titanium alloy with enhanced hardness and wear resistance, often used in high-end watchmaking. 316 stainless steel: While considered a relatively hard stainless steel, it generally has a lower hardness compared to high-intensity titanium" Although other sources would say grade 5 titanium is not as hard as steel. It really depends on the type of alloy.

      @@watchroll3310 I appreciate you taking the time to respond! Yes, it seems that grade 5 titanium (or Ti6Al4V) is stronger than steel, I stand corrected! But I doubt the industry claim of "super titanium" since the most you can do is make the material undergo heat treatment to increase it's hardness, or coat it with a nitride or carbide (which I haven't found any source from Casio regarding it being used in the Oceanus). I've actually ordered one (with severe difficulty), so I'm sure I'll get to know soon, but I have a hunch that the titanium is not as "super" as Casio is claiming it to be (I'd love it if I'm wrong on this, but I'm not holding my breath here)

    This and the older Sentry watch look cool but have less tritium and are the cheapest Lumiox makes. Trying to get into the lower price market. I went with Deep Blue. For even cheaper you get variety, t100 tubes compared to t25 tritium tubes, sapphire glass with ar, seiko automatic movement. Luminox is junk at the cheaper levels and overpriced at the higher end models.

    Load of tosh. I've owned my 50m Seiko for 8 years now, and I've been swimming hundreds of times in a chlorinated pool, followed by lengthy hot showers. I've swam in rivers and lakes many times, too. It has spent several days in water parks, and it has been in the hot tub and sauna on numerous occasions. It has never been serviced and is still going strong.

Your watch will never have the quality, finishing, reliability, longevity and crystal clarity as this Chronomaster. It took much more research, and time to design this watch than your few hundred dollar watch. Why do you think Ferraris, 5000$ bicycles, or any very high end product even exist? Obviously because people want better than your few hundred dollar watch. What watch is that you have?
