Same goes for Amiga 500. But still, every single 80's computer commercial displayed column and pie charts. Apple, IBM and Commodore. Every single one had these Excel-style charts. Those must've somehow really appealed to people back then.
Yeah there is another computer hooked up to the monitor underneath or out of view it's connected to the back of the monitor so they can control computer from there and the actors.just touch keys of the unconnected keyboard also its makenit look somehow.cable free therefore easy to hook up anything for the sale
LOAD"$",8. That was how you withdrew other people's money from a bank when you dialed in with a modem. Either that or it loaded a directory listing from the disk drive. I don't recall which it was now, but the dollar sign seems like a dead giveaway.
I guess you could use a stock market program that's on cartridge? And then perhaps this guy was in the tutorial mode, as he obviously hadn't bought a modem yet. Yeah ok, that's a long shot.
Use to spend hours as a 9 year old coding on this. Gen X latch key kids represent
rich kids with apple didn't even have sprites
I love the cable management.
I want wireless comodore 64 (:
And perhaps they went as far as mounting their 1541 disk drive under the desk? They're amazing!

There were no cables connected to the computer another computer was connected at the rear of the monitor and lower so out of view
I learned how to play Bach’s Invention #13 just because it reminds me of the old C64 commercials when I was a kid.

Hands up those who used their C64 to monitor the stock market.
With a 300 buad modem LOL?
Nope. My mother wouldn't give up our C64 to let my father do that. She was too busy on there looking up recipes.
"Joshua let's play thermonuclear global warfare" "okay doctor" movie War Games cerca 1980's
The answer was "Fine."
0:09 - What is this sorcery? Did this family buy an 80 column cartridge or something? I guess they're also keeping their 1541 disk drive on the floor?
Great computer but of 15 million machines sold there must have been like 500 people in the whole world who used it for anything except playing games.
While I did play games, I mostly used it to learn how to program.
If you can believe it, I used to for word processing in addition to games!

@@atklm1 ... Well, I really like Chocolate Pie Charts. 😋
I used it to connect to a local college bulletin board, and to learn BASIC programing.... and to play games.
The year I was born. I wonder what my life would be like without all the trauma and family dysfunction 🤔
😆
You wouldn't have a Commodore so that's not a option
Hell yeah, great time back then.
We basically used ours to play Jeopardy.
Way too many games to count that we played on ours.
I wonder if anyone in the history of the machine has ever actually used it to follow their stocks.

They all have "tech neck" by now.
they wouldn't need a note pad if they would have bought a printer
I had one
Wow

It aired during a baseball game in 1984, I believe. Taped on VHS off over-the-air signal.
