Can you guys do a video/or Q&A on whether or not differential covers are a necessary upgrade for these types of trucks? Additionally, any other basic upgrades to consider over stock on say a RAM 3500 (beyond the suspension as discussed here). Thank you.
Differential covers are primarily an aesthetics product. There are some marginal gains in cooling especially with the Banks covers, but most of the benefit is going to be appearance. Typically we keep most of our shop trucks stock engine and drivetrain wise. A coolant bypass can be a nice addition on the cummins trucks though if you're shooting for longevity since cylinder 6 tends to run the hottest.
@@CJCOffRoad Thank you for the response. The Banks product was the only one I was looking at. Your videos and theirs are by far the most informative and technically elaborate. Much appreciated.
Cody I’m curious who makes the front grille on this 4th gen ram truck. I’ve been thinking about changing out my 4th gen grille I currently have for this but don’t want to purchase junk! ✌🏽
Do you have a kit for 17' RAM 3500 dually 6.4L gasoline. The as is stock load capacity is over 6000 lbs. I would like to retain that. I have a 3000lb in the bed truck camper that I still want to be able to use it's closer to 4000lbs when loaded for trips. I'm most interested in a smoother ride and less sway. Not overly concerned about offroad capability. I do like the look of the 20" wheels.
There are SOOOO many dually owner's out there looking for this kind of info, I bet there's few duallys directly surrounding you, but there are tons out here that will order from you if you let us know what's available
Hey boys..quick question .I'm not ready for level kit just yet but my stock 22ram dually is eating the outer edge on the front tires..I saw you guys dialed in the alignment specs..my question is is those recommended alignment specs same for stock or is that just for your leveling kit..you guys are the real deal and can't wait to save some extra cash to do your leveling kit..having medical issues with both my kids so truck is on back burner but don't want to run thru another set of tires with factory alignment specs..thanks for your time boys🫡🇺🇲
I have a 2001 3500 cummins with 200k original miles and still all stock and im looking for a good suspension system for it. Even if that means it rises a few inches. Going from florida to living in Northern new york in the country. So i want to get prepared
My question is regarding the dually rear tires. Did you put a spacers on to fit the rear tires and if so was it steel or aluminum and what size was it 2"?
Sadly no. I actually have the same truck. Your best option is to do a reverse shackle kit up front, and then do custom leaf springs from Deaver springs with new, quality shocks. That will be the best possible set up for those trucks unless you want to tackle the 05+ axle swap.
I can’t find those rims in a 20” DRW with adapters. They start at 22” and the direct bolt-ons are 8 lug in a 19.5”. Are they a special order? Or are those rims actually 22s on that Ram?
@@CJCOffRoad Awesome, thank you! I was actually asking about the F450, but since this video is on a Ram Dually, then I tried to keep my question generalized.
Funny thing, I watched another video of yours earlier and thought what about my dually then I see this. Question, I have always had issues balancing custom wheels where only inside tape weights can be used. I would love to have you guy's install a custom lift with bigger wheels and tires but don't whant the dreaded out of balance vibrations, if I could have a lifted dually with bigger wheels that road like a stock 1/2 or 3/4 ton I am sold 100%. Specs, 2014 Ram limited 3500 28K miles.
@@yantardif2363 already done this multiple times and with different sets of tires. Next thing I am going to try is hub centric rings then tighten the lug nuts.
@@1smokan I bought my lift from CJC Off Road to improve the super harsh and unpredictable ride of my 2016 Ram 3500 dually with factory air level. I bought the Carli Pin Top for the Factory Ram Air Level System for my dually. I also bought the Carli rear replacement leaf springs. I can honestly say the ride overall is about 20% better. The front of the truck rides amazingly better and is exactly what I was hoping for. The rear however is still ROUGH as heck, slight at best if any improvement over stock... I'm running 255/80r17 Toyo Open Country RT tires with 55 psi front and 35 psi rear on factory wheels while truck is unloaded. Doing business with the guys at CJC Off Road was a very pleasant experience and the two times I called them on the phone with questions they were very nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone even thinking about doing business with them.
Hands down CJC are the go to guys on Dodge trucks!
If this damn Coronavirus didn’t shut down my catering company and restaurant, I’d be dropping coin on this kit for my 2019 mega cab dually right now!
Stick to video games kid
Double lung cool story bro
Thank you been waiting for Dually videos appreciate it keep up the great work
Thank you for all the videos you have been posting! Great content. Please post more videos with dually trucks.
Man do I f#$kin love duallys.
Yes, dually love!👍
Yabba-dabba-doo love the bloopers and the content

1 badass mega dually

Every single Carli system for Ram 3500 trucks will fit a dually!
@@CJCOffRoad ya, but we wanna watch cool vids saying it haha, basically saying thanks for covering dually

Very nice set up. 👍
Looks GREAT!!!
Love the truck I love dodge
Do you think you could clear 37s on a dually with a 3” or 3.25” lift?
Caleb J. Kerns it all depends on the wheel offset
Yep! Just depends on wheel specs but we do it all the time at the shop.
CJC Off Road Okay thanks! Didn’t know if a dually would change things too much in the front or not.

Get the $300 carli steering stabilizers and set to 100-120 psi. 20 minute install. Too easy.
Also check your hubs for movement.

Where is the separate video for the suspension with factory air ride already on the truck. CJC Off Road

Good looking rig! 🤙🏻
Can you still tow a 20k + 5th wheel toy hauler with the factory gooseneck?
Absolutely!
My question is regarding the dually rear tires. Did you put a spacers on to fit the rear tires and if so was it steel or aluminum and what size was it 2"?
I want that setup
I have a 1997 Ford F-350 single axel diesel. Do you have any suspension kits for the OBS years

How much for the lift kit and all, and I am from Canada. Are you guys will accepts trucks from here
All parts pricing is on the website! We ship internationally as well!

These are older wheels that are no longer offered.
Do yall have a 2.5in lift for my 2021 f450 dually? I want to have 37's but i dont know if i can on a 2.5
Any idea on the kind of mileage he's getting out of those tires? I know they're not 19.5 100k mile tires, just wondering.
Bump on this comment. Great question!
so thuren suspension system ,or a Carli suspension system which is better?
It’s like IOS vs Android. All comes down to what you like best!
Do you guy still keep the stock air bag with the Carli suspension?
Yes they just give you new leaf springs and relocate the sensor I believe
wow i do like this build, any installers in Southern Utah?
Red desert off road is our go to in souther Utah!
Do the add a packs add lift height?
Does he pull 5th wheels or gooseneck trailers? Do they work with a 3 inch lift?
He pulls a large 5th wheel and it works just fine! The rear lift is only 1” so it‘s still very practical.
I thought on the website it said 2 inch of lift. I guess that is with the factory air assist thought. Cool!!
@@dakotaracebrown Factory tire size is 33", I think. 35" tires plus 1" lift is basically a 2" rear lift.
Do they make kits for Dually Ford trucks as well? Also if I have a 4500 or 5500 is there a kit for that?
Sadly no. The F-450s can be adapted to the Carli F-350 systems, but on the Ram side the Carli systems stop at the 3500 trucks.
@@CJCOffRoad Awesome, thank you! I was actually asking about the F450, but since this video is on a Ram Dually, then I tried to keep my question generalized.
Will it affect the weight capacity. will it be able to pull an RV with no damage?
This system retains full payload and towing.
Those rims. Are they 20x10 or 20x9.
What about that blue one on 37”?
can we do off-road with this car
Any recommendations for shops who can install this in NY
