More cons or all cons: axles break easily, lack of good steering angle, outer tire scrubs/ drags sideways in turns, bad steering geometry, large diff pumpkins, very little aftermarket support without having to "massage things to fit. For $20-$30 bucks more there are 4-5 better choices on the market. These are a 16+ year old design knock off of first gen SCX10 axles before Axial made improvements. Other choices Knockoffs of Axial SXC10 II or III straight or portals, TRX4 portals (pricey), Redcat Gen8 portals. Or the super wide knockoff AR60 Bomber/Wraith axles (there are even knock off versions in a portal conversion of these I 've only got the straight version knockoff so I don't know if the portal ones are good or not). I just don't wan tanybody making the mistake I made with those junk $80 scale shop decorations (I refuse to resell them to some unfortunate newb).
I've been running these for over 2yrs on some heavy rigs and never had an issue and they're still going strong..I greased them extremly well at all points with lucas waterproof axle bearing grease and have also ran 2.2 aluminum beadlocks with them as well..Maybe it's possibly driver error that's causing breakage like getting wedged/stuck and continued mashing of the throttle?..Steering radius isn't bad either and i run axle extensions
Tip on buying bearings look and search bearing abec-3 rating it`s a tolerance rating 5 is better but for what we do 3 is fine run away from abec-1 that`s what comes in a lot of this non rated stuff [loose bearings]

I actually had these axles they are nice but the pumpkin is just to big not recommended for crawling Unless You are running 2.2 wheels
Do you happen to know the bearing sizes used on this axles?
Can you give me the link which drive shaft i can insert in these front axle the stock one just breaks every other week

What would you prefer for a gen 1 scx10. I need new ones and wondering what the best would be?

how did you manage to get the axial axles to work?
Did you install these on a scx10i? I am having a hard time installing the front axle with the third link arms.
Hello have you tried installing those portal axle kits to these. They run around 33.00 an axle so for 60.00 it would be cool to make them portal ones
