    Ok, so I have the Eflite A-10, and have had trouble landing, with porpoising.
    I really struggled with that until I watched this video. Turns out that like you said, moving the battery aft made all the difference!
    Now, grease jobs consistently! Landing is great now, she just floats in with a little power!
    Thanks and Peace from California!

      Crow helps too, but proper CG makes all the difference.

    Great flying and excellent camera work as per usual! Looks like a very wind resistant plane considering its size.

      Honestly I think you'd be OK moving up to this jet from a Habu. It's not hard to fly at all. Even landing is pretty easy.

      Give the jet max possible throws and dampen with lots of expo - 50% or more. You'll have plenty of agility.

      @BIGG_SURVIVOR_88 I can recommend the UMX A-10 for learning, I'm nowhere near as good as Jon but the UMX gave me some courage to try bigger jets. I have some videos on my channel of it, really awesome plane.

    Crow is an awesome thing for high energy flying swept wing jets when coming in to land on a short air strip but i never use it on any of my other prop planes or straight wing jets.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому +1

      It works great on props too. Some models really benefit from it to get stable harriers. The EC-1500 comes to mind, as does the Extra 300 from E-flite.

    Hi Jon. Great video. Assuming you have the battery as far back as it will go, are you adverse to adding a small amount of weight to the tail in order to get the CG where you want it? Thanks

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому

      I've added a lot of weight to many models to get them to balance better, but it's always a game of figuring out how far back I want it to balance versus how much weight it'll take to get it to do so. Too much weight adds more wing loading and reduces the thrust to weight ratio.

    Hello there. Question, have you beefed up your nose gear on this A-10?? Because, I have one of these jets. I came in for a landing one day and the nose gear snapped right off. I didn’t think that I hit hard at all. And I am not running over grass piles like you are on your runway. Maybe I just had a defective nose wheel or something. I really don’t know.
    Awesome flying, and how did you set up the reverse on this plane. That was neat.

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  Рік тому +1

      Nope, no mods to the gear at all. Are you on V1 or V2? V2 fixed most gear issues that we'd heard of.

    • @sidneyvanzandt2473
      @sidneyvanzandt2473 Рік тому

      @@TwoBrosRC not sure which one that I have. I had to buy another nose gear though. Hopefully this gear is better than the last one though. Lol.
      The first one snapped the gear off nearest to the plane just for fyi.
      I haven’t been able to fly it since I replaced the gear though. I can’t wait to fly it again, just to see if the gear is better.

    Awesome flying demonstration! 👍🏾😁 Can you do the same with the Freewing 80mm A-10? I would love to see that!...😊👍🏾
    By the way, I saw another of your videos in which you gave us a short tour of your hangar. Can you do a short video tutorial on how you hang those aircraft to your roof! I would like to do that on my house, but I need some guidance, specially on what hardware I need like the laptop straps, which one specifically you got...I would really appreciate your help on that matter!... Have a great day! I'm glad I found your channel and subscribed to it!... You are a good pilot!...By the way I have that same IX20SE radio, and I love it!...

      Hey man! I don't have the Freewing 80mm but you're welcome to contribute to it if you'd like to donate to the channel via the Thanks button or via the PayPal link. It's an expensive jet. I'd like to get it at some point.
      Hanging the models just requires drilling into a stud in the ceiling and using a heavy hook that you attach laptop straps to, preferably straps with hooks. No tutorial needed!

      Here's a video of me flying my Freewing A-10 Thunderbolt 80mm jet...The video has timestamps so you can fast forward it to the A10 flight and landing...No need to watch the entire thing...I'm not as good of a pilot as you are, "I wish some day to be", but I love this hobby as much as you do😊 ... Jon do you need more than 6 channel receiver for crow ? Also how did you do the flat spin on this bird? That was awesome. What are the stick inputs like to pull that off ?

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  2 роки тому +1

      You need a minimum of seven channels for crow. Flat spins are performed by holding up elevator and adding rudder with contrary aileron.

  • @RCpilot1013
    @RCpilot1013 Рік тому

    I just assembled mine for the first time and noticed it doesn’t have much elevator movement. Although I’ve yet to maiden it. Is it safe to increase the stock servo travel to 150% for extra travel? Thanks

    • @TwoBrosRC
      @TwoBrosRC  Рік тому +1

      You'd have to reprogram the receiver after you unlock it, otherwise you won't be able to hit 150%. 100% would be the stock travel limit. You can reposition the pushrods for the elevators by moving them to the outermost hole on the servo arm. That should free up some travel - but not as much as doing that with 150% rates.

    • @RCpilot1013
      @RCpilot1013 Рік тому
