Diaz is way a better rivalry than khabib was. When khabib beat Conor, Conor already did everything he set out to do. Two belts, Floyd money fight, he had the proper 12 already. The stakes just weren’t as high. But for Diaz, those fights were huge for Conor’s legacy. When Nate beat Conor, Conor was looked at as this untouchable guy, then he lost and everyone had to stop and question how good Conor actually is. Then they have the rematch, where it’s all or nothing for Conor, because if he lost to Nate again, he isn’t getting a lightweight title shot, or a Floyd boxing fight. His entire career depended on him beating Nate in that rematch. That’s why it’s a better rivalry.
