FYI these challenge is actually quite common in the Philippines, I remember there's a segment like these on a variety show before where in not just singer's but also comedians lines up belting through the keys under the direction of Mel Villena. Up until now many Filipinos are doing these challenge, we will just never back down. Songs like "Through the fire" "Pangarap ko ang ibigin ka" and "Love on top" were commonly used.
It fascinates me how can they remember past artists they reacted too, I mean there's a lot of them. I guess that proves that they genuinely listen and react to artists and they evaluate them very well. The amount of curiosity amazes me too. Great job gys, more powers to your channel!

Actually, what happened was Gigi doesn't know the melody of the first verse so she jumped to chorus. That's the reason her band was a bit all over the place on how to back her up.

this is the most fun reaction i've seen on this video!! it's because they understood the context and most of all they really noticed everything even the smallest details while the video was progressing (e.g. like the playful nature of gigi's band on how they "conspired" to change the keys a couple of times -- like their body languages and how they found it funny and baffling while also continuing to be tensed and amazed at gigi's vocal prowess). since it's kinda hard knowing that they don't understand filipino/tagalog at all, and other reactors most likely put more of their focus on gigi only and that's fine and understandable but i just find these two commendable and of their reaction satisfying bcs it's like they understood the fun side of this video aside from it being an amazing one.

I read somewhere that during this livestream session the song was requested by one of the viewers. She was not prepared to sing the full song so to make it up she sang the chorus instead. And then her bandmates decided to prank her on the spot.

When this song originally became a hit (by Roselle Nava -' in the 90s?) many refered to it as the "crazy martyr" song.
