The best way to do it , I live in the uk so normally I would only have to use that technique above the window as there would be a wooden sill at the bottom of the window although I have done it like that mabe a handful of times over the years, good job Spencer you explain it so well

How do you decide when to glue the back of the paper versus putting the glue directly on the wall which seems easier and less messy?

Great question, no, you cannot do it the same way because there was not enough material with a bureau to do the returns on the window and saw you simply cut the wall covering Mural at the corner just before you go into the return

Pricing question... If you feel comfortable answering it?
Typical in my industry is $1 per square foot for installing carpet. $2-$3 per square foot installing any type of plank flooring. Wood strip vinyl etc
$3 per square foot to sand and finish floors natural.
Painting $350 per man per day.
How do you folks price your jobs. Is there a square foot price with minimums? Or do you charge by the day? If you could share some insight that would be great :-)

Where is the peace that has been overlapped at the top of the window .i can only see u pull off one top strip .when u cut top and bottom to make the seem from what i can see u still sould have a peace to pull out from underneath the overlap

That’s exactly what I said,I’ve watched this so many times,if you splice through the paper you should ALWAYS remove the piece that you’ve spiced through (the piece underneath)

I have a wallpaper which doesn’t continue because it is a photo. Does this mean I need two extra pieces for when I have to cut the bottom and top of the window area or should I leave it?

joao silva, simply cut the wallpaper around the window. No you don’t need another of the same kind. Fit the one shot that comes to the window.
