Can't believe the timing of this. Was thinking about Casey Kasam this morning and this video came out yesterday! Used to listen to Casey as a young girl in Melbourne, Australia. So his program was international
that was great!! I remember in 98?? I came home to jersey for xmas/new years break, and buddy told me before hand KISS was playing the Brendon Byrne arena NYE, ok lets go.. the concert started like over an hour late.. turns out they made deal to bring Dick Clark onto the big screen after he did the ball drop.. whole audience was just chanting "DICK" first time seeing KISS in makeup (saw twice before without) then saw second time few years later in makeup again. great concerts, but not worth the money now.
Dave being able to get these two legends to do this bit is something else, hilarious. That made my morning. Thanks for posting.
May those two icons, Dick Clark and Casey Kasem, rest in peace.
"Keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars."
The utter stupidity of this sketch is what makes it so great. Dave had the most imaginative writers.
Somewhere in my head is a voice saying “This is the only thing on CBS right now”
This is classic Dave! Thank you all for posting this. Keep Posting!
Never saw that. Amazing. Thanks
These Two Great Guys are gone, it's hard to believe !
They both died at age 82
It's a shame that Kasem lived his final years with that monster of a wife.
Y'Know Casey Kasem was the voice of Shaggy Rogers from 1969 to 1997 right from 2001 to 2009.
"Holy legacy, Batman!!!" - Casey Kasem as Robin the Boy Wonder on The Superfriends, 1973-86.
- How much confetti do you want?
- Yes!
Happy December 18!
This was so fun! I remember this. Great request!
Thank you for all the good memories, gentlemen.
Can’t wait to send this to my cousin for his birthday in a couple weeks!

That was great to see again, thanks!
Dave, your suit and tie are primo!
It would've been even funnier if they had Ryan Seacrest doing his own countdown too.
Right, with Tom Bergeron or Chris Harrison counting down to Seacrest’s countdown like I said.
Somehow i didn’t see this. Classic Dave

So was December 18th an important day or were they just being wacky?
Well, December 18th is exactly one week before Christmas and two before the New Year, so…
@@johnnyballenatl ok that's an acceptable reason...
