you sparkled my crusader spark recently so i started playing it again, got to the last mission, gonna finish that soon. Gotta say you rock at this game and i look forward to playing stronghold 2, possibly with you :)
I was curious, so I wanted to try something, and turns out you can kill the nearest sultan, the blue one, pretty much instantly with a Maceman rush. Expand your stockpile, build your granaries and a few hovels, then a market, a couple armories and a barracks, then sell your pitch, which will give you just enough gold to buy the equipment and train the soldiers. So buy 30 maces and leather armors and just train the Macemen as soon as the peasants gather at your keep. Once you're out of weapons send them directly into the Sultans keep. Keep spamming the click button on the keep to make sure they run directly up to the sultan and ignore the soldiers gathering in front of the keep. Gets you 10K gold right away and one less enemy to deal with. From there the rest of the fight is fairly easy.
Great mission; a bit on the easy side. Just wall off to the left of your keep and add towers to harass Sultan. Make sure to send archers to Richard's towers to buff his defense. The Sultans are easy to take out and offer boatloads of cash to easily finance an attack against the Saladins.

its incredible that missions as 25 are hardcore and this one is a breeze, the difficult peak is very unbalanced
