The first Legends was built with Arceus sending us back in time, but there hasn't been anything indicating Arceus will have any involvement in Z-A unless A refers to Arceus instead of AZ the trainer from Kalos.

The only forgotten characters I can think of are the Battle Chatelaines from gen 6. Morgan, Dana, Evelyn and Nita. Nobody ever really talks about them (mostly cause there's not much to talk about) and they're just heads of a Battle Tower (or Maison because France). I was going to say the multi hair colored higher ups of Team Flare that I refuse to believe anyone knows the names of outside of a Bulbapedia search, but it was less about them being forgotten and more about me forcibly removing them from my memory since they are in the story.
I’m an Evelyn fan, and seeing how there’s a favoritism towards battle facility leaders for Faller candidates, I’m hoping she gets her chance in Z-A. It’d give the Chatelaine’s some much needed spotlight and attention from the fandom, like Ingo & Emmet got after Legends Arceus, and out of the 4 sisters I feel like Evelyn’s personality gives her the most opportunity for fun character dynamics and personal growth.
Team Flare is just worse Team Galactic, and Galactic was already one of my less favorite evil teams. Like if you told me the Team Flare admins were rejected Galactic designs, I would believe you.
Serious question: Do the Flare admins have names? I kinda remember the scientist (Zerosic?), but I don't remember the admins have distinct names (nor personalities).

Aliana, Bryony, Celosia, Mable, Xerosic, and technically Malva. Kinda sad people didn’t get the point of Team Flare. They’re nothing like Team Galactic. Kalos is a region defined by its beauty but if anyone pays attention to what’s being fed to us through npcs or the story there is a lot of generational trauma. AZ is a great example of that. Lysandre is a great example of this. He loves his region so much but he knows it’s not perfect. Part of that imperfection is the scars of the past. He wants to pull a Thanos to “fix” Kalos. We all know he’s misguided but he’s not Cyrus who’s just a sociopath who wants to a God. Cyrus doesn’t care about anyone but himself and his goals. Lysandre cares about EVERYONE and thinks what he is doing is best for the people not himself.
Also Gen 4 and 6 have the same pacing issues. I’m almost finished with Platinum and it’s a slog like XY.

There was a sort of side quest thing in the Chirchester hotel, that included a bad detective named Howses (sounds like houses), which is a play on Sherlock Holmes (sounds like homes)
The only reason I even know Ryuki even exists is because of the anime, and then I completely forgot about him until I randomly pulled him in Masters, it is a crime how underutilised he was in Sun and Moon
honestly, as a kid growing up with the gen one adventure manga, i was really happy that pokemon referenced it with green in let's go, they don't give it a lot of attention . . . probably cause it's so different

Fun fact: the name Ryuki means Dragon Knight in Japanese! There was even a Kamen Rider with that name back in 2002 and the season got an American adaptation 7 years later, with the name's direct translation

Arguably Green was well established as far as Adventures goes. She even takes on some aesthetic cues from Leaf during the FRLG arc but yeah we dont get to see her in mainline games until Lets Go. Hopefully we will see her again and maybe some interactions w Silver though thats just me

Feathered serpent? I thought the bird fossil was some sort of electric type velociraptor, which makes me extra mad because it means we got cheated out of a proper velociraptor Pokémon.
It's weird that since SwSh we haven't seen a single character return. We have character mentions like Clay but not any character in the flesh. I'm personally fine with this I think Pokemon has done more than enough character returns especially with BW2 and the Alola games but also cause it usually doesn't mean anything. Like except for Looker and Anabel, what has any character return served as other than fanservice and a battle. Hell, even when Honey was trying to get other champions on the line, it was to battle. Masters has done a better job with these characters. Masters!

@@ammagon4519 That's the thing with most RPG franchises, they tend to change their human cast every game and only retain things like magic, items/weapons and iconic monsters/creatures between installments. Pokémon is no exception; because every Pokémon game takes place in a different country, the cast is almost completely different every game and only rarely do characters reappear. That's why it's good to have spinoff games that exist to bring back and flesh out some of the fan favorites.

A very obscure character that I'd like to see be brought to light is Gordie's little sister. She has an unique design based on Gallarian Darmanitan and seems to be around the player's age. Besides this she only has two appearances. One being in Melony's concept art where she is described as "level-headed eldest daughter" and the other being a single panel of the manga where she's seen taking care of Gordie who was down with pneumonia

Green is actually in Pokemon Unite. She's one of the special champion NPCs in the solo challenge mode on higher difficulties, and she plays blastoise, making her the only tank NPC on that team
As an aside, Green actually originates from the Adventures Manga, and Let’s Go Green inherits her personality from there.
The Manga eventually has her swap into Leaf’s clothes, so that’s a little confusing, but even more confusing is the case of Kris and Lyra, who were already different characters, both share the manga counterpart Crystal.
I don't think Green was really foreshadowed as we got leaf. But she was used in the manga as early as the first volume and became a staple character which is more likely why she was used for let's go rather than early art the manga was based off. Only my opinion tho :) also the manga is fire
