The main thing about the Leveyason mentioned in Jewish texts is the fight between it and the shor habor in the tines of Moshiach

    Great video
You should make videos about the pheonix in Judaism, the shamir worm, and some giant creatures mentioned in the talmud.
I wonder what mystical birds in Judaism there are

Saying Christianity misinterpreted Judaism is not a good way to word that. One could say the same of Islam to Christianity with the Muslim myth around the crucifixion of Christ. It's not a misinterpretaion as much as a seperate tradition from the same roots. Think Catholic vs Orthodox, Sunni vs Shia, Hasidic vs reform, etc

But at the end of the day, it's a misinterpretation 😊

@@MythosSafari It really isn't though, yes one branched out from the other but it doesn't mean it's a misinterpretaion. Now of this is coming from a inherently Jewish perspective then yes it is but you seem to be presenting a much more secular scholarly style approach thus it's unfair to generalize a world religion (and the biggest one at that) as a misinterpretaion. Especially considering talking about the ideas of heaven and hell presented in the Christian New testament. The hell is still talked about extremely abstractly. The Gehenna which is mentioned is a trash pit near Jerusalem and Heaven is mentioned very rarely. There are better descriptions of heaven in the Hebrew Bible then the Christian New Testament with the prophets seeing God's throne and the angels around it. Most ideas in contemporary Christianity of Heaven and Hell are less scripturally based and more based on the stories of Dante and Milton. It also should be said that the New Testament deals in parable throughout so the idea of Leviathan being used could be allegory for the size of sin in the world. I enjoyed the video but it's little things like that which can be a distraction to an otherwise phenomenal piece of content. Also the beasts of Revelation are rich enough in their own right that a video on them individually could be wonderful especially in your style. Lumping them in as Leviathan when it's most likely a description to compare scale of the creature seems like a stretch and could limit content in the long run. Also calling it the Jewish Leviathan and then discussing it in Christianity and Islam limits the richness of all three traditions by linking them too intrinsically. Though they all share the patriarch of Abraham Islam has never claimed to be Christianity or Judaism and Christians have not claimed to be Jews since at least 150 CE when churches started being seperate then the home synagogues of the Jews in Diaspora from the Romans.

The thing is Islam didnt branchend of from christianity or judaism therfor to say that the depiction of Jesus in the quran could be seen as misinterpretation while its sources doesent come from judaism lr christianity is Hard but if Christians see things in the old tastemant different than classic judaism wich is defines well its understanding of the old hebrew bible this is what u would call a misinterpretation because many things doesnt even make sense if look at the anolgy of certain words and charackters to reinterpretat it in a way Christians do in a way their for most certanliy christianity has a pretty distorted understanding if the old hebrew bible most liköy because most Christians in many years of the beginning of christianity didnt had any understanding of hebrew and where used to trust not trust worthy Translation from all over the place

@@shenron8262the early Christians had the exact same Hebrew Bibles as the Jews of the time due to the fact that they saw themselves as Jews because in the Christian Tradition Jesus is the Jewish Messiah so if the Christian texts were mistranslations then so were the Jewish ones and thus both are misinterpreted. The Early Church fathers included St.Peter (The Rock upon which the church was built) and St.John (the beloved deciple) along with Paul, and every other apostle were Jewish men who believed that Christ was the Messiah of Judaism. This idea of these early Christians not understanding their religion is extremely reductive. These were intelligent men who wrote text still read to this day. Also in contemporary Judaism and Christianity The Tanakh (or Hebrew Bible or Old Testament) is almost word for word the same in a JPS Tanakh as it is in a NSRV Or other scholarly translation of the Christian Bible so the difference is definitely not that large. Also to say that Islam did not branch off of Christianity and Judaism is unfair if we say Christianity is a misinterpretation of Judaism. Mohammad lived in Mecca before his revelations from Allah which was a multicultural and multi religious hub where he was introduced to several religions both poly and mono theistic. There is also evidence that he had an uncle who was part of a heretical Eastern Orthodox Church where many ideas in Islam can be seen originating from. Islam admits that there is truth in both the Jewish and Christian faith but that they misinterpreted what Allah revealed to people.
