A very beautiful instrument. It sounds great. Is that two capos on the neck? The one does look like a capo. I am sure you open tune it. What key is it turned in? Who makes those instruments?? Thanks for sharing your video. Many thumbs up. Happy New Year.

Hello - the two capos is simply to hold a firmer grip on the 10 strings. The tuning from lowest pitch to high is:D A E A D - for me it revolves around the middle three, which is a root - fifth - octave. You can really do a lot with just those three, then the top and bottom strings add other things you can do, and this IS the tuning for me in this instrument and I've tried several. This one is PW Crump out of Arcata, CA. Other really good ones are from Lawrence Nyberg in Canada (www.nyberginstruments.com). His instruments are amazing, he'll build you one, and he's a really nice guy - he can build you a 4 or 5 course (8 or 10 strings). The first time I saw a cittern like this when Joan Baez's guitarist played one, I knew I had to find one.
