- Summer is here (unofficially) and that means grilling season is upon us! Time to get the burgers, chicken, ribs and hot dogs ready! But have you walked down the refrigerated aisle in your local grocery store and noticed just how MANY varieties of hot dogs there are?? How do you know which one is the best? Well we got you covered! We tried EIGHT different varieties (Best's, Nathan's, Sabrett, Applegate, Ball Park, Hebrew National, Oscar Meyer and Black Bear) so you don't have to and our panel decided, once and for all, WHO Makes the Best Beef Hot Dog! Mangia!

As someone originally from Philly, I grew up eating soft pretzels sold in some very dicey places - like guys just standing on the curb at stoplights, no gloves, waving the pretzels in the pollution-filled air. BEST PRETZELS EVER. I'm also convinced it's impossible for germs to live on pretzels. 😉
I usually like turkey dogs, but I just tried the new Oscar Mayer chili cheese stuffed dogs. They are quite tasty! I only put relish on top, since I thought anything else might conflict with or drown out the chili flavour.
I made shallow cuts in them, and sautéed until they were charred (my fave way to prepare, apart from grilling).
(They also have jalapeño cheese, which I haven't tried.)
I'll try Nathan's next time - never have!
Ooh I have to look for those! I usually air fry mine lol but they do come out great. There’s is nothing like street vendor pretzels… lol ❤️❤️❤️
I used to work for Dietz and Watson in Philadelphia , you have to try applegate hotdogs

With the sabrett Hotdogs you should have tried with the casing on

Hebrew National and Nathan's AND Sabrett (jeez as a New Yorker I almost forgot lol). That's all I'll ever eat for beef hot dogs, especially if they are in natural casing (I know Hebrew National doesn't come in casing, but Nathan's you can get in casing along with Sabrett still I think)
I will say, as someone who grew up in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn in NY, going to Coney Island and eating freshly flattop cooked hot dogs and freshly fried French fries, nothing will beat Nathan's for me in that case. Also, Nathan's is PERFECT for a chili dog. Just absolutely perfectly seasoned to go with chili (a good, real chili not canned btw) and onions (and maybe cheese). They can come off a bit too salty, but I mean it's pressed garbage beef/butts/toes in a tube shape, it's going to be pretty salty regardless :D

Ball Park is my favorite but I will try any other as well. Love the dirty water dogs usually Sabrett❤ but the best hotdog I’ve all is Maisy ❤ great video. Love you guys.❤❤❤❤♥️🐾
Our go-to is Nathan’s but I’ve never heard of a few of those brands here in New Hampshire…I agree they are a bit salty though…
They definitely had the traditional hot dog taste that we all know and love lol
