Doll$boxx are insanely talented. They are a side project of Fuki, the singer from Unlucky Morpheus (a band you NEED to react to, if you haven´t yet), and Gacharic Spin, the band the other members also belong to. F Chopper Koga (bass), Hana (drums), Tomo - Zo (Guitar) and Oreo Reona (Keyboard/Synth) are incredible musicians. As you have noticed, Japan is just oozing talent when it comes to music, particularly in the Hard Rock/Metal genres, there are literally bands from all sub - genres you can imagine, and each add their own twist. Female metal bands in particular, coming out of the land of the rising sun are incredible. You should react, or listen to on your own time to bands like Mary´s blood, Aldious, Band-Maid, Unlucky Morpheus (as I previously mentioned), Bridear, Lovebites, BabyMetal, The Gazette, Crystal Lake, Mardelas, Nemophila... Too many to list in just one comment. Metal and Rock didn´t die. It just moved to Japan.
@@timthomsonart They have been releasing a lot of covers, all excellent. You should check out their original songs as well, Oiran, Raitei and Sorai. All excellent tracks. One of the guitar players in Nemophila, Saki, is also in a band called Mary´s Blood. Check them out as well, because they kick some serious butt.
@@toxicgnome8445 You are very welcome. Just finished watching your Unlucky Morpheus reaction. Great stuff my friend. I enjoy your reactions a lot. It´s incredibly fun to watch people react to these amazing bands for the first time, and to witness them getting to know a band they have never heard of. Plenty of stuff for you to discover. We will be here along for the ride. Stay safe.
@@JohnPMatias16 I appreciate that, this is so much fun and to think that I started this by reacting to a group that everyone was reacting too and thought we would be there for a while BUT here we are in a completely unexpected direction and it's amazing. I appreciate talent and imagination, so far there is no lack in either case.
So so so much talent in Japan! Helpful I think that they've always looked to the West for inspiration within their subcultures - with the likes of punk, rockabilly etc etc - and make something new out of them, in a way only the Japanese can. There's a lot of Japanese bands' websites and UA-cam channels where they've done amazing covers of older rock tunes from bands like AC/DC and Metallica and other classic eighties & nineties acts. They're never afraid to branch out and experiment with ideas from other countries, quite wonderful! Gotta say, that keyboard 'melody' sounds so much like The KLF's What Time is Love!
I think your right about the influence. It's always fun and interesting to find out who inspired who. I'll look into the covers for sure. Thank you for that direction, that would be fun
They did a little "mini tour" of four shows a few months prior to this, and I attended the finale in Roppongi. Right up front...and it was one the the best, most intense concert experiences of my life. And I've seen literally thousands of shows (old guy...a life in music as both a listener and performer). The mix of emotional intensity and virtuosic execution was absolutley world class.
They released this only on dvd, that's why the 720p. Could only wish they released this on bluray too... From what I gather, the "final goal" of a lot of Japanese bands are the live shows. I've heard some band say "we would be happy if you (the audience) listened to this live performance and think it's better than the original (studio) version." So that's why their live shows are so fun, you don't get band members showing up just for "work." And they aren't content with just releasing the "final" versions of songs on an album, they still find ways to make it sound better and incorporate them in their concerts. That's why reactors get a lot of recommendations saying "listen to the live, they're better than the mv."
We are definitely going to live shows, unfortunately with my bad internet, when I can't find a live version from the band itself, I go to the MV because it takes so long to load and search.
Dude...check out Astral Dogma by Yousei Teikoku. This band is #3 for me after Lovebites and Babymetal. BTW, I do believe this is Fuki singing, just with a different look

Just discovered Nemophila today and they've done some great covers, including an amazing rendition of Babymetal's Megitsune...

I have reacted to Unlucky, we are definitely heading back to them. I will write down the others you mentioned. Thank you

Fuki (main singer) in this song makes me think she is a human air raid alarm. :-)
LOL
