As you were talking, this came to mind (if it's not relevant then let it go in one ear and out the other 🙂)...God codified a law in regards to not marrying someone to biologically like us [Leviticus 18]; i am thinking that He Did that for biological reasons (there may be some typology as well); it is not physically healthy for the children of such a union, according to my studying.
That being said, to reiterate your point, as Christians we are to only marry Christians.
