Help! I'm being pursued by an out of control robot! The opening of this track sounds like communication between computers. I like the low end building, growing louder and how it starts sliding around. At first I thought speeding car, then perhaps a plane in trouble. I love the sound of this. It's sinister! Machines revving up and slowing down with subtle changes in the layers. When it quieted down it seemed darker yet, and the machine surges back to life with the tones sliding even farther. And I liked the ending. I feel as though I have escaped!
Track #9 in my playlist curated for Matt. As Matt said, we’re cranking it up to 11 here. It’s funny that Matt mentioned it sounds vaguely “horror”, because in my head I’ve always pictured a chase scene with a chainsaw wielding killer pursuing their victim through a busy neon-filled city at night, where the victim never gets a chance to catch their breath until they finally escape at the end. It sounds so relentless. Vitalic has other songs that have a similar cinematic quality, one of which will appear later in the playlist. I shifted some tracks around to get to this one sooner because it was a style Matt said he would prefer given two options I gave him. It looks like it was a good decision!
Whoa. I never would've expected someone to react to Vitalic 🤯 I got to see him live once. It was awesome!
