I love the reoccuring themes from the parkour episode
Oh dint notice that there a parkour of the witch
And btw that's true
It’s also the same start to episode 30
What I love about the AVM series music is all the little riffs and motifs that reoccur. The whimsical and light-hearted parkour theme, the frightening and intimidating Warden theme, and of course, the grand theme of King Orange. Season 3 really wouldn't be the same without you, Scott.
Man I love this theme. It makes the episode and fight scenes just that much more epic. It seems to have an almost tribal theme(is that the correct way to describe it?)
I've always loved the way you separate the sections of the song into easily usable youtube chapters. But I think "Bad Zombie" at 1:01 is the best title yet.
I love how well you do with adding to and speaking the emotion of any given scene. Whether it’s the tragedy of losing your child, a parent, the scale of ones power, or the slow realization of a convoluted plot, I’ve always loved the way your scores have enhanced pretty much every episode they’re featured in. This one in particular however for me fell a little flat and it could just be because I’ve seen it so many times before hearing it with a score, but to me it feels a little slow. Your swelling horns, orchestra, and sometimes choir work really well for large scale and/or gradual moments but to me, this episode in particular having very fast paced fights, felt like it wasn’t giving each moment it’s time to breath and was clumping most of them together in one emotion. I think a bit of a faster pace would allow for more precise conveying of the action, and maybe some more variation could give more personality and/or clarity. This episode had a lot of different kinds of things in it. Bamboo Green could’ve had a flute signifier when he had his solo fight. Fish Red could’ve had a goofy theme turned triumphant when he starts fighting the Witch the first time.
I still think it’s good and these aren’t meant to be things you should’ve done but rather examples to show you what I mean. I love your music scoring regardless and can’t wait for what you do in the future!

Now that you mention it, the soundtrack of the flute in green and the soundtrack of the fool in red were used in their respective episodes in monster school and note block universe.
I love the reference to “Parkour” at the beginning, great work on the two new scores!
I now realise how much your music adds to Alan’s animations, before I didn’t think that these two episodes needed music but after hearing this it will be hard to imagine the original episodes without it!

The Witch was better without music in my opinion. I think it's better for really intense or emotional scenes... I know the Witch was intense, but...I dunno...it just kinda worked better from Parkour and in AVA 5 you know

Yeah I really love the music on its own here but I just don’t think the cinematic vibe fits this episode. I love the witches theme along with the returning leitmotifs like in the music for “Parkour”, but the cinematic battle music doesn’t really resonate with me when it’s just a normal looking witch. However I can say that I prefer having pig ascending for the last bit because it’s really cool and I can see the cinematic vibe on the God pig lol

How to watch AVM Ep 21 with Scott Buckly's additional score; I hope I'm allowed to post this... xD
0:00 - *Blue?*
Start at around 0:47 immediately right when it cuts to the pig, Orange, Green and Yellow waiting for the Blue and Red on the other side of the portal.
1:01 - *Bad Zombie*
Instead of starting the score at 1:01, start a second before at 1:00 instead, then play the score right as you hear the faint sound of the Zombie sheathing it's sword behind Orange at around 4:42 in the episode.
1:43 - *The Witch's Hut*
As soon as the score hits in the next second at 1:44, be sure you play it at 7:01 right at the next second when it cuts to the shot of Orange and the rest riding Llama Yellow towards the Witch's hut.
And from then on you can let the score and the episode play off on it's own, as *Blue gets to work, Blocked, Blue's Revenge* and *Pig Ascending* will connect together with the episode by themselves.
