Walking simulator is a good description for it. There were a lot of dry points I had to edit out. But nothing will ever top the walking simulator - Death Stranding
Okay, I got the platinum for this in early November, and, a huge mistake I made as well, was playing on the normal difficulty for the first go, and i saved the hard mode trophy for the last, so I was miserable when I had to do the last play through. Imagine how I felt.
To be fair, they locked a pregnant asmatic woman in her room when there are terrifying murder monsters everywhere which is a lot worse than just "giving her a little time out"

Great video, I enjoyed the game overall as well. One thing is that I wish if you made enough noise in the regular walking segments, the monster would spawn in and patrol the area a bit before despawning like the alien would in alien isolation. That would make the horror overall better imo. But other than that, it’s a great game with a great story and nerve wracking gameplay loop
The first collectible is a reference to the first movie where the kid is distracted by the toy, and he turns it on which gets him killed due to the sound
It is basically just a movie. No real challenge, very straight forward, and a strict path. Just like a movie, you are kind of just watching the story. Which isn’t a bad thing and I’m glad they made the price tag much cheaper. I’d honestly suggest finding a UA-camr who doesn’t do any commentating over it and just the gameplay.
Played it on Hard from the beginning. The only place that gets kind of hairy is the Fire Station Pool. Felt like the game was rubber banding the creature to me as I was trying to leave. It just wouldn't f--- off and would kill my inhaler use. Outside of that, the single room creature avoidance sections had these weird habits where it would investigate where the brick was thrown from rather than where it actually made noise. Everything else was a piece of cake. Got about half of the timed trophies and found all but one of each collectible by the end.
