This song resonates with me as war with myself fighting my depression. I was diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety when I was 4 I’m now 17 and I still battle it. It stems ifrom my father molesting me and my brother and me listening to my brother and. Not being able to do anything when he was screaming in pain. It nearly led to me killing myself my sophomore year but I pushed through keeping myself strong with friends there to help. I wish everybody had somebody to help them b

In the eyes of someone who has bpd, this song is me. This so perfectly describes how i feel on a day to day basis. I physically cannot stop full out sobbing when I listen to this song. Its given me a tool to use, to show those who dont understand what Im going through. This may not have been the intention of the song but thank you for giving this amazing piece of art.
Ah, good old BPD. My mom has that, among other things. All she ever wanted to be in life, was a mom. Truly. And you know what her legacy to her little ones is? Trauma, instability, addiction, and violence of all kinds. I can't help but pity her because I understand that this isn't what she wanted, at all in her heart of hearts. Fight it to the end, and for the live of god and everything you hold dear stay away from drugs. You aren't ever truly alone, even if it feels like that every second of your day.
Does it matter where someone heard a song? The fact that they heard it and had the urge to search for it should be confirmation enough the nothing more is an amazing band? Let’s not bash on the new people barely discovering this jewel.
I always loved nothing more, and honestly.. I know some people love to gatekeep music especially when it ends up on tiktok..but I'm glad they made it on tiktok cause that means they are getting the recognition they deserve and hopefully more fans!
its not so pure. it is also not so smart, thankfully, formally requesting war from 8 billion people. I guess this is why I see so many recent tbi in ppl here. they got big mouths. they like harassing shooters too.
no. it is a vauge reference to goig to war when he says "lets go to war" all of our lives suck ok. or do you think that men mean women....come now. lass. that's ignorant as hell. I mean, an otter would not infer that.
Came here because this song caught me in the feels. Pretty well sums up why I'm separated from my wife and kids. It gave me a perspective I didn't have. I sent this song to her, and let's see what it does...
For me personally I think this could be the Gen Z anthem. Gen Z is expressing their views with their family and friends (screaming at the ones we love) and how they vary from their families in some cases and how and they stray from the social norms that generations before (here we stand on opposing sides) have made and we stand up to injustices we see and fight for what we believe, typically on social media platforms or during protests (screaming at the top of our lungs). Seeing past injustices and trying to put a end to them wether that means protest or advocating and trying to learn from our past wrongdoings (we arm ourselves with the wrongs we've done). Idk this is just how I interpret it. Can anyone else see what I mean? I know this song has been out for years and isn't actually about Gen Z but I feel it fits well in some ways Update: I know this song is actually about toxic relationships and how they affect people but as music has been used as an expressive form for years I was saying how it can feel relatable in other situations. Another thing is this is from my personal view of Gen Z, you may not have the same view or opinion and that's ok, we are all entitled to our own opinions
Yeah, let me tell you when gen z steps into the real world like millennials did and actually started riots, rebellions, and forced people to look at systems all while be hated by the generation before and after them. If you wanna look at it like who's anthem it is anyway. Realistically the song is about toxic relationships using war as a metaphor so it kind of applies to everyone regardless of generation.
@@circularlogic0103 I swear there is a weird pattern of one generation being good and then the other being shit. It's like it went: Greatest Generation (good), Baby Boomers (bad), Generation X (good) Generation Y (bad), Generation Z (research predicts to be similar to Generation X). I'm sure you could go back further and probably continue the pattern, but I don't feel like it. Obviously not all of one generation is bad there are plenty of fantastic people in between, but it just seems like the overall average is worse for those in between gens. This is a very random reply when I read the first part of your comment I thought of this.
@@callidusvulpes5556 Generations are super weird technically Milennials are split into two different types too. But ill say this Boomers fucked over everyone and everyone seems to hate boomers
Its today, and yesterday and tomorrow.. hating each other for differences, religion, gender whatever... There is always Cold War just the sides are changing... If you say it was in the past... Terrorism, economic disaster and cybercrime...let me quote: "Do you feel safe?"
None of this is deep just enjoy the song the is no point in decoding the message when the message is clear the fact that songs with the same message have been getting made since the 60s is more inpactful that the song itself these songs shouldn't exist anymore we should of sorted out the problem but no we are so desensitized to the messed it loses is subtly, Think about that. And no one fought in the cold war. The whole point in the name "cold war" cold referring to the lack of fire the was no fighting no blood shed the Americans and Russians did not face each other on the battle field. The Vietnam war and the Korean war were just part of the many powergames the US and USSR played with each other the space race being a key one the Cuban missile crisis being another childish games to see which country had bigger balls

Have you noticed how the couple that we first see arguing at the bar DON'T resort to violence? They talk it over, as ugly as it must sound, but that's all. They "go to war", as some would put it dramatically.

Every once in a while, you come across one of those musical/lyrical geniuses like Freddy Mercury/Queen, Elton John, Eminem and so on... I definitely think this band is in this category. The lyrics, the music, the style, the showmanship. If there were musical MVP's, these guys would win it.
If this is your first time finding this band, you owe it to yourselves to listen to "God Went North" off their previous album. Won't spoil anything, but it's got the most heart and soul in a song I've ever heard.
Patrick Turner my home boy loves that song because he's going through the same thing with his mom...very powerful stuff....hell, Jenny hits hard for me, dealing with depression and anxiety, it's an amazing song if you listen to the lyrics hard enough. Because the music itself doesn't give the message the clear definition it deserves.

can't wait to see what's next for this band! love this song
Rachel Ann this chorus feels right.. otherwise weak verses
Rachel Ann ok gotta say I like this song now
This really fit the world we live in, I'm shaking and crying this song is really powerful
I love how they had the guy on TV wording some of lines in the song! Works beautifully and DEFINITELY CHOSE THE RIGHT ACTOR!!

Extra: What? And he's gonna keep singing?
Director: "Yup, oh and don't mention it to him"

Should have won a Grammy. Is there a song with a more accurate assessment of the recent state of the country?
Carl McMinn metal and rock music will never win at the Grammys. They look down on our type of music
Just_a_guy_from_oz such a shame because there are a lot of great metal and rock bands that produce music that is 1000x better than some of the crap that win Grammys today.
@Lucifer oh really did they? Amazing
True, but that's not what the song is about. The song is about fighting with someone you care about.
Totally agree thay deserve my h more reconision this bands fire
this really speaks volumes about people, even today here in the states.

Such a great song. They deserve more fame..
Horiko uhhh they are pretty big
Drew Theller actually no. there are places that had never heard of them. They came through my state and they asked how many people had heard of them only about 35-40% of the people raised their hands. This show was on the border of my state so there was people from 3 states there. I knew who the band was. I absolutley loved their performance. It was my birthday. One of the best concerts i had ever been to.
MrFaller86 are you saying they dont deserve more fame? no love?
Yes they do. The band is incredibly talented and the singer can do some crazy shit with his voice. Kickass music.
Horiko I agree. I can't wait for more new music from them!

What a beautiful music video that portrays the message perfectly. No matter how much attention they get, their fan base is amazing and this band is going to take that next step! Not only does this band make great music but each one has a message to share!
This band will change the rock genre for sure.

I'm curious how this song applies to bipolar. I mean apart from the lashing out part. Can you explain please?
stiimuli I didn’t say bipolar. I said bpd
stiimuli not bipolar, borderline I think
Ah, good old BPD. My mom has that, among other things. All she ever wanted to be in life, was a mom. Truly. And you know what her legacy to her little ones is? Trauma, instability, addiction, and violence of all kinds. I can't help but pity her because I understand that this isn't what she wanted, at all in her heart of hearts. Fight it to the end, and for the live of god and everything you hold dear stay away from drugs. You aren't ever truly alone, even if it feels like that every second of your day.
@@stiimuli They said BPD, which is Borderline Personality Disorder. Bipolar’s abbreviation is BP.
Two very different types of mental disorders :]
#26 on Trending, let's get it higher! Share this on social media so the world can know the message that Nothing More has!
Update: It rose to 21!
This should be the anthem for the 2016 presidential election, and here in 2020 history repeats itself.
This song so accurately portrays a long running argument between spouses. Spot on.
It's almost fall 2021 and this is the song of our generation
Think thats crazy im listening in 2021
Does it matter where someone heard a song? The fact that they heard it and had the urge to search for it should be confirmation enough the nothing more is an amazing band? Let’s not bash on the new people barely discovering this jewel.
I always loved nothing more, and honestly.. I know some people love to gatekeep music especially when it ends up on tiktok..but I'm glad they made it on tiktok cause that means they are getting the recognition they deserve and hopefully more fans!
Fuck, I love this song

Goes from poems to singing
It's so beautiful and perfect
Damn, I need to see these guys live now

Its one hell of a show live i just saw them last Saturday. \m/
Might sound dumb, what is the message
its not so pure. it is also not so smart, thankfully, formally requesting war from 8 billion people.

Well what did it do??
Yeah! What happened?
Dude looks like jim morrison and rocks out with his own AMAZING voice.
I know this song has been out for years and isn't actually about Gen Z but I feel it fits well in some ways
Update:
I know this song is actually about toxic relationships and how they affect people but as music has been used as an expressive form for years I was saying how it can feel relatable in other situations. Another thing is this is from my personal view of Gen Z, you may not have the same view or opinion and that's ok, we are all entitled to our own opinions
I do , I'm gen z.
in case you didnt know theres a song called the kids are all rebels which is our anthem\

Why is noybody talking about the message this song gives to us?
Rocksound apparently not. its a meaningful message.
And a sad one :( Just like This Is The Time (Ballast)
Agreed. NothingMore poor so much power into their lyrics, vocals, and music.
caught on to the message immediately. love it, relate to it.
Im guessing its about how divided humanity is over petty things such as opinions and ideologies?
this songs where I'm at with my wife. after so long I've tried the subtle 'let's go to war' and I'm headed into screaming it.
:(
I gotta say this band is very versatile. a great combination of everything. Killer vocalist too! The whole band is great!
Watching this now makes me think of society, government, and expectations.
Screaming at the ones we love.
Like we forgot who we can trust...
Who would have thought that just a few short years later we would be divided so drastically?
“It’s a Cold War”
This is basically The US and the Soviet Union trying to beat each other up
Its today, and yesterday and tomorrow.. hating each other for differences, religion, gender whatever... There is always Cold War just the sides are changing...
If you say it was in the past... Terrorism, economic disaster and cybercrime...let me quote:
"Do you feel safe?"
Yep my uncle was in the war but we were in the Soviet Army.
*YOU DONT SAY*

But does he need one 😆

It’s weird after always seeing him with no shoes or shirt
Have you noticed how the couple that we first see arguing at the bar DON'T resort to violence?
They talk it over, as ugly as it must sound, but that's all. They "go to war", as some would put it dramatically.
This song couldn't explain more how I feel about our country right now.

If this is your first time finding this band, you owe it to yourselves to listen to "God Went North" off their previous album. Won't spoil anything, but it's got the most heart and soul in a song I've ever heard.
