  • How do you write a news story about an event? What things do you need to consider or prepare? How do you approach possible interviewees at an event or deal with capturing moments of crisis?
In this video, King's journalism student Cameron VanBuskirk shadows his friend and fellow journalism student Alec Martin on assignment at a Cheer Expo event in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Alec goes through the beats of his day, gives some tips for event coverage, and shares thoughts on what's different and interesting about reporting on an event.
