Dio's wife Wendy asked them to do this song for the fundraiser, Dio drummer Vinny Appice gave them a rare longer version of this song that's never been released. Both Wendy and Vinny are huge Liliac fans. Original Nothing, Mars live and Dio covers Holy Diver and Rainbow in the Dark. Everything they do is top notch. Awesome reaction

Infact she's done some recording with Vinny Dio and Black Sabbath Dio ere drummer, bassist Rudy Sarzo ex Quiet Riot and Ozzy Randy era, and Michael Batio guitar wiz. They recorded 45 minuets of Dio and Black Sabbath covers. If you UA-cam search Dio cancer fundraiser go to the last 6 minutes and they have a pro shot video of them doing Heaven and Hell. Again fantastic reaction i subed right away!

Welcome to Liliac! This family is awesome. Great story and it's cool that they brought the feels back for ya. Yes, please do more Liliac. I recommend their original "Mars" live in Cumming GA to listen to next. You'll get to see them on stage, sound quality is excellent and it's starts with a bonus guitar solo. And to boot, the drummer, Abigail, is living her best life throughout the song.

Melo-Dio! Her love for RJD, truly shows with her performances. Every member in this Family group, does an amazing job. Parent's helped them, but they chose this life, Genre, and style. They claimed that they Have to save Rock & Roll at a very young age. They followed thru with that statement over the last few years! So much to see from them! Enjoy!! 🤘😎🤘

Yes they are a sibling band from California they now reside in Georgia, their ages are Samuel lead guitar 22 Abigail drummer 21 melody lead vocals 19 Ethan bass 14 and Justin keyboards 13 the band fans are known as Fangs & the band slogan is RORH which stands for rock on and rockhard the lead singer melody idolizes Ronnie James Dio that’s why you notice that she mimics some of his moves she is a super fan and is now good friends with Vinny Appice RJD drummer. Here’s a couple of songs to check out the first one is called NOTHING,Then Dancing in the dark, Chain of Thorns , Mystery , Mars - live in Cummins Ga. , Sail Away- which is a ballad,& We are the Children these are all original songs they also have a ton of covers like Dio’s Holy Diver , Janis Joplin piece of my heart ,Joan Jett hate myself for loving you,Megadeth symphony of destruction and metallica -master of puppets to name a few

Just my two cents. Also for covers; Symphony Of Destruction (Megadeth) and Master Of Puppets (Metallica) In MOP, Sam does two fabulous solos. They are such an accomplished young band.

Thanks for the great reaction, to a great band covering a Rock God. I think I know what you mean, I remember when a strange group named Elf opened for Deep Purple in the 1970s. The band didn’t really impress me, but their singer was this little guy with this amazingly huge voice. Shortly after this Richie Blackmore left Deep Purple and formed Rainbow with Elf’s lead vocalist, Ronnie James Dio. Sometimes you get that feeling you were accidentally party to something that was bigger than you ever could have imagined or hoped for. Every fan of Dio’s in the world wishes we were at that Sabbath show you saw. Thank you for the reaction and a great story.

LOL. The concert experience you described pretty much happened to me exactly the same way. Went to see Ozzy in 1996. It started pouring rain and we were absolutely miserable. The rain stopped, and then we were freezing cold. Ozzy came out. The sun set, but the storm clouds remained and were casting horizontal lightning across the sky the entire night. Some of it was almost like it was timed to the music. Every once and a while, there would be a huge bolt of lightning that got a big cheer from the crowd, but since Ozzy couldn't see it, he thought they were cheering him.

They are all brothers and sisters. If I recall right the drummer is the eldest/ lead guitarist is the second child and lead singer 3rd child ( third times a charm) bass is the 4th child and keyborads the 5th child. All born in the usa but father is from Romania ( I think)

Their 2 original album Queen of Hearts, from that Crazy Nights. Also a live performance of an original Mars live from Cummings, Ga. The band is all siblings of eastern European descent.
Mother and Father are from Romania,( hence the vampire vibe) the children ( this is a total family band, brothers and sisters) . They are from California.nice reaction

This is the longer version that was never heard before, Vinny gave them a never-before-seen version and they had to learn it play it, and record it in only ONE week for the Cancer Charity.

I read in a comment elsewhere that they learned this, arranged, recorded and performed on the video all in one week.

It's hard to pick a song by them to react to, because they are all very well done, covers and originals alike Iwould say go with the video that broke them out "Crazy Train" live on the Santa Monica Pier. It was first video to go viral.
Ya just found a very special talent with liliac. They are truly amazing. If you like Dio, I suggest you do a reaction to their official cover video of rainbow in the dark. Not the world's best version. It's only a short version. You can pick anything by liliac, and never go wrong. And yes, the whole band are siblings.

There parents are from Romania. The kids were all born here in the U.S.
They are all siblings born in the US but their parents are from Romania, their Dad is from Transylvania to be exact. Check out their covers of "Holy Diver" and "Rainbow in the Dark" but their originals are every bit as good if not better. The singer's name is Melody and Ronnie's former drummer, Vinny Appice, has nicknamed her "MeloDio".

Liliac are American but their parents are from Romania as a matter of fact their father is from transylvania near Dracula's castle (really), they do awesome covers and wonderful originals. You can check out mars or sailaway, originals and master of puppets or holy diver covers you won't be disappointed. Their version of enter sandman and the trooper are legendary.
Cant get more epic and gothic than transylvania! All I can think of is Dracula and for my gaming nerd Castlevania

You my friend have been fanged ,a term describing fans . Liliac is a family band originally from California now based in Georgia and are much more professional and mature than their age . They are renoun for their tribute covers and their originals are phenomenal . The best introduction to Liliac is to react to their original, Mars, from a live gig in Cummings Georgia it will start you down a path of no return . If you are a DIO fan check out their tribute covers of Holy Diver and Rainbow in the Dark .the best performances of these songs are their own official music videos. They instantly had such a positive feeling over me that it just makes me smile to see teenagers have the same love for this music as i do. I feel like every generation of metal head says that lol
They had 1 week to learn, prepare and get the video together for the special. It was amazing that they played it live as well that night in Vineland.

I’m m seeing megadeth and lamb of god in September I’m excited! I’ve seen testament, Motörhead, Black Sabbath with dio and Judas Priest in concert one time! It was beyond epic!
They did a wonderful job on this cover and deserve listening of their other material, especially covers of Master of Puppets and Joan Jett's I Hate Myself for Loving You.
Separately, for a new take on old school metal, Unleash the Archers is my favorite new band, hands down. Awakening, Tonight We Ride, Abyss, so many excellent songs. A perfect reimagining of metal's glory days in the modern era.

The song is from the Dio album of the same name. It was Dio's second album after Holy Diver. Great cover by this young band. RJD would be singing along.

I went to the Nassau Coliseum, MSG, the Meadowlands, and Radio City Music Hall to catch shows, but never was willing to trek out to Jones Beach. My loss.
I probably won't be the only one saying it, but LILIAC just hasn't recorded anything I don't like. They cover HOLY DIVER, RAINBOW IN THE DARK, as well as Maiden, Sabbath, Metallica and Megadeth. 19 originals...all good, so whatever you think, take a listen.

Great Reaction THANK YOU. All brothers & sisters. Parents from Romania. Recently covered Megadeth and master of Puppets. They also covered Joan Jett's I hate myself for loving you. All great covers. Joan Jett is pure energy from start to finish. All their covers and most originals are on their UA-cam channel.

They are all siblings. They call it Vamp Metal. They were all born in the United States but their parents were born in Romania. Liliac is Romanian for bat (vampire bat). Aby, the drummer is always like that. She is usually smiling but they have all said they were extremely nervous because they only had one week to learn the music and shoot and edit the video and it was done for such an important event. Sam, lead guitar is 22, Abigail, drums is 21, Melody, lead singer is 19, Ethan, bass is 14 and Justin, keyboards is 13.
They instantly likable and its nice to see the next generation love the music that we all loved!

About your intuition, yes, you're right: the members of the band are all siblings, born in the USA but their parents are both born in Transilvania (Romania), so there comes the Eastern European influence from, as the producer is their father. There's also the origin of the name, they wanted „bat” which in romanian is Liliac. As for recommendations, my fellow fangs (we, the fans, pretend to be all „fanged” by the bat) have already suggested some. Dive deep in this, you won't be disappointed!

All siblings started 5 years ago, singing on Santa Monica pier, they have done covers of crazy train, rainbow in the dark, holly diver , enter sandman, paranoid , trooper, hate myself for loving you, and more have great originals, nothing, dancing in the dark, sail way, chain of thorns, we our the children and more. You need to dive into the rabbit hole it just gets better! They call it vamp metal, and their fans are called fangs, ages 13 to 22 all produced and ran independently with their father and mother.
It's great avoiding the big labels and letting the kids enjoy themselves!
Definitely need to listen to Mars original by them in Cummings Ga live Sam does a crowd booster with his guitar at the beginning before the song.

You know it is interesting I have had people tell me don’t read anything up and just react for the most genuine shocking reaction. Then someone like you who want some research being done beforehand. Then as a reactor go figure which to pick and who to appease…
But both their parents are 100% Romanian, being born in Transylvania, so you were right saying Eastern European...My mom is 100% Romanian making me 50% Romanian and my other half is English/Irish but I'm still American. @ Je Baker maybe you should do some research?
