The Korando is SsangYong's first new car in four years, and is pitched as a low-cost rival to the Nissan Qashqai, Hyundai ix35 and Kia Sportage. There is lots of kit -- even entry-level cars get air-con, cruise control and rear parking sensors -- while you have a choice of front and four-wheel drive. The only engine option is a powerful 2.0-litre diesel. But while the Korando sounds attractive, it has a low-rent feel. Inside are hard, scratchy plastics, and the engine is noisy. Plus, in corners, the Korando isn't as stable as its rivals.

If they address the interior materials, engine and chassis dynamics this can be a fantastic option.
I have a ssangyonng Kyron know, and i dont change it for any other suv, and is one of the best off road.

They used to. But this engine is all Korean. And not a bad one at that, perhaps they did not spent the extra money on silent blocks and soundproofing we are now used to. But it sure can tow and delivers nice performance for such car.

What a change from the Korando I remember... I think that red color is not the best for the car body lines, may be a silver or chocolate tone color would be better. If it is really cheap for what it is and the equipment included, then no one can complaint for the hard or not too refined plastics in the interior. As long as they are acceptable for the price, it is OK. Remember, It is a Korean brand less popular than Hyundai and Kia, SsangYong is not at the same level of Hyundai now.
I love your car reviews but please can you include estimated prices for the car models being reviewed. Other car reviews I watch on youtube includes this important fact which I presume would be no added work for you to do same.
Suspension complaints can be parcially because of the low tire pressure seen at 0:38.
It dosn't look too bad, but it's clearly a bit low.
Hard and scratchy plastic isn't that difficult to live with once it's nicely grained and the panel gaps are tight and even. Besides it lasts longer than the soft touch stuff, well in my climate anyway (very hot with 95+ humidity, day and night)

Ok, its a cheap car but it has its perks, and considering this one is not present in much more expensive models, of much finer brands, one would expect that it would be shown. At least as a curiosity...
Why no mention about the resale value and storage when the seats are folded down??

First generation korando was released in 1980s. Korando means "Korean can do"
Someone who needs a vehicle of this type but can't afford its more expensive rivals...
it is wrong to match the boots with the jacket. The boots had to be gray or blue.
Try getting a moon roof, GPS, or automatic tough...
Korean cars are quite reliable.. Hyundai accent 1998 had it 2 years.. no problems at all.
lol...i'm Romanian, yes, so i may be biased, but what exactly do you expect from a Dacia? i would buy a Duster any day as an off-road all round good car for example if i only had the money for it. maybe not the logan, but all around the world, Dacia is selling more and more. Why? cause it's cheap! and pretty much good value for money. not to say the duster is very very reliable.and you should look at Matts new video about the new Dacia Sandero and see what people think of a 6 grand car...

My auntie has one of these, in asia it's called a Actyon. The previous model Actyon was a kinda of pick-up truck and looked pretty weird/ugly.

those seats look uncomfortable, and the backseat cup holder looks so shallow if u brake hard the drink's gonna go everywhere. They should include long distance seat comfort as a criteria.
It's actually the names of two villages in Azerbaijan and Afghanistan but we won't get too picky...
I'd spend the extra money on a Quashquai just to avoid having to tell peole I drive a Ssangyoung

lol to compare Korando with Dacia duster is silly, this car won the Northern European race (7000 km from the North Pole to the Netherlands) against cars like Volvo XC90, Range Rover, Audi Q7, Toyota Land Cruiser, BMW X3 and others.
The Suzuki SX4 doesn't have a 4x4 lock. So although neither one has great suspension travel or low gears, the Korando has an edge here.
Plus it has more presence on the road than the tiny SX4 that's no more that a normal car with sightly raised suspension. Many people buys SUV's for the command view however that's something it wasn't on the design brief of the SX4...
Sx4 does have 4wd lock so stop talking rubbish. I put it on lock on icey roads

Hmm... it does not look bad, but not at all as interesting as the previous/old model (not that that one looked good; but interesting and different it was).
...There is no huge transmission tunnel 'cos the floor is so high up. A tall person sits with his knees all the way i the sky; very uncomfortable on long distances.
I would discard this car straight way , not because I think is not good
