CG drivers the modern movies the writing and storylines don't. The original television series was driven by story and for the late 70s early 80s great special effects
This was the first episode I ever watched of this show, and I remember getting kind of emotional when she says "It's alright, Lancelot was cursed too." It's a great line that encapsulates what Banner is going through
Wow, you have a great memory. The only thing I remembered was the old Spanish lady trying to put a hex on her, and then getting dumped in the water! I hadn’t seen this in 45 years since I was about ten!
As much as we all love to be the hulk, this show and actors did a great job of showing the sad part of it as well. Just wanted a cure a woman and to be left alone. Scene had me tears. So easy to relate to this character. Wanting to feel strong but not looked at like some freak. Thank you Bill and Lou really put heart in this show and all involved.
This is will always be The Hulk for me...The Great Late Bill Bixby along with Lou Ferrigno....These were my guys coming up...Especially how Dr Banner was doing all kind of work just to find a cure for what he was battling and The Hulk was actually a Hero in which he fought off all that was EVIL...
I love this series, I always enjoyed watching it when it was on. I hope there can be a new live action Hulk series eventually, with the same heart behind this one.
They have to stop using CGI it just looks bad. If they used a large modern prosthetic maybe with robot hands and feet like a modern day body suit similar to what they did in legend it would look much better.
It was indeed magical maybe the most magical tv series of my 70’s 80’s generation, I know exactly what you meant , it had an impact on all us back them , now 40+++ years gone imagine all the different consciousness over the years and imagine how many people seen this tv and all the different impact it had on each one it’s amazing to think all the different times and different years and culture and this show going over the generations! I love it so much , the music is very powerful as well , it was so well done so much feeling so much beauty, this show is very special !
I love when he comes back from the transformation still with his green/white eyes! Looking forward to seeing scenes from Season 4 on this channel soon! Prometheus, The First, and Bring Me the Head of the Hulk are some of my favorite episodes!
LMAO when the Hulk put that woman to shame by dunking her in a water vat! She had it coming! She got a much needed bath! Ha! Ha! I especially loved the part where her son dunked her head under the water as his way of retaliating!
Fun fact: The actress playing Jolene is Robin Deardon. She appears in two episodes of the Incredible Hulk. She is also currently married to Bryan Cranston who is most famous for his work on Breaking Bad.
What I love about the show is the bad guys never really got seriously hurt…..notice how they were pushed into water….slid across the floor……heaved into some kind of non-violent landing…..never destroyed a person….just objects.
I kind of felt like they were actually the bad guys in this situation. They were kind of imposing on those peoples land. David tried to do right, but they only chained up Banner, didn't look like they were trying to harm him. The damage Hulk did is kind of excessive for a poor area and it started because the girl couldn't keep her mouth shut while being a guest that should know better.
I think he was still trying to break out on his own, without the hulk,.. Hearing Jolene screaming for him and him struggling in the chains.. He got frustrated then angry and turned like usual..
David knows that as a normal man he could never break those chains, and they were too tight to be slipped He heard Jolene screaming but knew he was powerless to help even if he could escape and get in there, he would just be grabbed again, this time with more violence to him He knew the stress would cause the change so this is one of the times where he wanted it As soon as those eyes go green it's game over for the bad guys
This very episode came out when I was around ten years old. I enjoyed watching The Incredible Hulk when I was growing up. Now I'm 55 and when I watch particular episodes like this one, I get a little emotional because of Dr. David Banner's plight. This young woman totally understood and was caring.
I don't think it was necessary for the Hulk to knock over the trailer, causing it to fall apart, but he did it anyway, because he's the Hulk! So satisfying to see the Hulk put wrongdoers in their place. He especially knows how to handle evil women as well.
Yeah it's very satisfying although I just assumed it was because the hulk with his child like mind set that's what an angry child would have done just for spite
David did his best once again in trying to ease the situation... The Girl is young, She doesn't understand ... Please let us leave..... Well she probably should have listened as she got an unannounced bath.. I really liked this episode...Very good acting throughout.... it would have the famous Hulkout later where he would be running away and his cowboy boots split in half in motion..
Apparently it was a change in management at cbs that cancelled it even though the series had a strong fanbase and bill bixby pleaded with them not to and tried in vain to get another network to pick it up they could have ended it with him finding a cure though
Did wonder why Hulk had trouble breaking the chains, expected them to just snap during the transformation The Director decided to have Lou play it that way, but it made no sense Hulk would snap those thin chains like they were paper, we all know that, we've seen how powerful he is
Bill Bixby only took on the role as David Banner because he wanted the show to be a drama and not a campy comic book. This show had 1970's technology, no CGI, no computers, a great cast that fit well, and some pretty decent writing, (some episodes were stinkers),....but every show had some. They could never remake this show today without putting in the hard work that the original crew did for this series. One of the best origin stories I've ever seen on t.v. Kenneth Johnson produced this series and having Bill Bixby, who was already an established actor as well as a highly credible director himself, made it a pleasure to watch as a kid.
This show will always be legendary but some of the scenes at times were corny but it was a different time and they didn't have all of this digital stuff like today. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.

Even with all the CG in the world this is still the best version of Hulk because he has so much character here.

The best Hulk ever! You can feel the emotion of the character. Bill Bixby great actor.
would you be willing to restart a new Incredible Hulk Dr. David Banner
@kevinmansell8746 who has that acting chops like Bill Bixby?

Everytime David Banner gets in trouble like this, I actually feel more bad for the people doing this because the Hulk NEVER FORGETS who did this.
I don't I love when they get their just desserts.
Don’t feel bad because they are always the ones starting the fight
I do remember this moment in the Incredible Hulk episodes.
The new Incredible Hulk is very evil hulk . But the Incredible Hulk was good helping people who is in danger.
LOL
One of my childhood crushes... the lovely Robin Deardon.
Now that's is a TV show we need to be able to make more of this shows.
If David wasnt on the run, Jolene who learns fast might have found a way to cure him.
